I live nearby and eat at Panda about once a week. I have never felt ill after eating there. I get my heaping box of food to go and it is an amazing value at 6-7 dollars. I would feel guilty by not leaving a tip. The young woman who works the register is quiet, but very nice and the place is clean and tidy enough for me. Cmon guys, its a 6-7 dollar all you can eat. The sign says "Panda Buffet", not "Panda Gourmet". In my opinion, you get more than what you pay for. If you are polite and not a pushy whiny jerk, they will make a fresh batch of something that looks like it has been sitting a while, or is running low. (I notice a few uncivilized greedy people picking the all of the beef and shrimp out of the food and leaving everyone else nothing but veggies and sauce, the staff will fry up more of the meat for you). I can be a picky eater, and this restaurant is good enough for me. As far as "Dirty Dining", if they didnt correct the problems they had, they would have been shut down. If you want to pay more for better food, like a previous reviewer, go to a higher end restaurant, not a damned all you can eat buffet. If you want spicier or more flavorful food, a little of their sriracha and sesame seeds will make anything better. If they made everything hot enough for me to begin with, all of the sickly albinos would whine that the foods too hot. I saw a gigantic lady storm out of Panda complaining about the food, I looked at her table and saw 8 empty plates. How bad could it have possibly been? Think about it. People who talk bad about panda sure must have boring lives. Go there and eat if you want to get full on the cheap, and be sure to tip and say thank you. They deserve it.

This is my favorite for cheap Chinese. What I like: •Mandarin chicken -best I have ever found, ignore the spicy sticker there is literally no heat to this dish. •Black bean chicken savory counter to the sweet Mandarin •fish crispy outside soft inside plus they have fries if you just want fish and chips. •barqs root beer and soft serve for a rootbeer float • 2% milk I like milk with a meal but no buffet (except here) has it because if the price. •Mello Yello cokes version of mtn dew very hard to find as a fountain drink. •local fruit when its in season. Currently hermiston watermelon •They use the medium size pans and constantly put out fresh food instead of the giant ones that sit out half the day. The overall selection is small and they are a small low budget operation. Lunch is $7.50 ATM but they carry what I come to a buffet for and not a lot of dishes I would just look at on my way to the general tsos.

To those who have been there recently, I am sure you know Panda Buffet is not very clean & has mediocre to terrible food. The catch is, it is also cheap ($5.95 lunch includes a drink). I was curious why I had to pay FIRST, but as soon as I looked at the food it was apparent. The choices (even at 1pm) did not seem fresh at all, and the selection was as minimal as I have ever seen at a buffet. The seating area (and behind the register) was filthy dirty (to me anyway). If they are willing to be that dirty at the entrance to their place, what does thier kitchen look like? I was actually a little afraid to eat this food, and I am as adventurous as they come. It is always sad to see a buffet that used to be decent end up going so far downhill, but I do not recommend Panda Buffet unless you are after truly cheap eats and NOTHING else. For that, it fits the bill perfectly.

NASTY food. Everything seemed fine as we were paying, but once we got behind that glass wall where you pay and were able to see the food, we were immediately worried. Everyone there was kind of scary, even the customers. The help was non-existent. There was just something off about the place. The food tasted old and cold and the whole place was filthy (especially the bathroom that had two toilets and only ONE of them was behind a door! There was just a toilet sitting there as I walked in with children playing all around it!!! I was soooo freaked out by the time we left there, and the food we DID eat made us sick for about a week. We werent barfing everything back up, but we WANTED to. We just felt "not well" for about a week and pretty much couldnt stomach eating anything at all. Soooo bad :(.

I just read that this nasty place just received a score of 50! Lowest score you can get. Flys, mold in the ice dispenser, employees peeing then skipping the whole important factor of washing their hands, not to mention contamination of raw meat while prepping. I dont know where you find so many people in one restaurant that care so less about running a clean business. Must take too much time in their day or something. What do you pay those employees to do exactly??? I would never eat there, I dont care how long its been since this rating. Nope, no way!

This restaurant has changed from its previous years. I traveled here and the service was terrible. The food had no flavor at all and the atmosphere and facility was ridiculously disgusting. The food was non-existent, cold, and very oily. I was wishing to escape the place just as I had walked in. There was bugs and flies all over the place.I would never EVER return to this restaurant ever again.

Absolutely worst chinese food EVER!!! It was inexpensive, only $6.25, and I still was tempted to ask for my money back!! I was worried once I finally saw the buffet, and after loading up my place I took two bites and left! I learned my lesson, I will never pay for a buffet without checking out the food first! I hope I dont get sick, the place was also dirty! Ewwww!

This place has been around forever Nice people great food & I dont know how they keep it so decently prices for what you get.........Some people that are not from the real world go in & expect 5 star accommodations well Its not that but my goodness if your a hungry person come here !!!! You will go away satisfied & full......Delicious!!

cheap simple food. stear clear of "crab puffs" the circle things that look like skinny tots, and that weird looking beef stew crap. stick with chow mein, egg rolls, teriyaki chicken, bbq pork, and general zhos chicken and you got a winner. salad bar pretty good too. $2.25 per pound for take out food. cant beat that anywhere..

After reading so many comments about this restaurant, my mom and I decided to find out how disgusting this buffet actually is. However, we thought it was not that horrible. My mom really enjoyed the soup there and I liked the fried fish cake! The environment was not good at all, but guys, it is a $6-7 buffet!

Been eating here since 1998 yes food has changed , its a Lil run down but for the price come on u get a Burger at McDonalds for the same price I ask for fresh food and they cook it so for this changing economy and if your on a budget there this place not top choice but fills you up....
