My boyfriend and I just went there for dinner last night. We were in the mood for Chinese food, so we were happy to see that Canton Phoenix was close by. When we got there, the place was empty aside from the employees. It was a Monday and the restaurant was a little out of the way from regular traffic, so we didnt think much of it. Our waiter said that the restaurant had been there for a little over a year, and that she had just acquired her position. We both ordered the #5 Dinner Combo platter, but substituted out the choice of Chow or Lo Mein for Sesame Beef. I had also ordered a Thai Iced Tea, which came out promptly, and it was tasty. Unfortunately, when our food came, the beef was very tough and not very flavorful. The egg roll was way overdone and soggy in the middle. I finished the Sweet & Sour Chicken, but it wasnt very appetizing. More sustenance than anything else. I have taken the rest home (pork fried rice and fried shrimp), but Im not hopeful that sitting in my fridge will make it taste any better. Overall, pretty disappointed with our experience, as it was very Americanized Chinese food--bland, tasteless, and overdone. Canton Phoenix needs to up its game before we come back!

Canton Phoenix is where Wok Inn used to be. The first time I ate at Wok Inn was in 1995, in High School. Ive been going there ever since. There are new owners now, a new name and theyve renovated the interior. It looks a lot better now on the inside, and the cooking area is now closed off with only a small window, which I didnt mind at all. The buffet is still there, and they also offer items off the menu if you prefer. The buffet items look mostly the same as I remembered, though they were a few new items in the meat section which I didnt try (my wife however did). The food tasted close to what I remember, and was not different enough for me to mind too much despite what other reviews said. If you liked the food at Wok Inn you will like it here. The buffet actually looked a little cleaner and more well captive and I remember, so that was nice to see. The servers were very friendly and attentive as well. We always got excellent service at Wok Inn, they always remembered us, but the service was great here as well. Well eat here again.

I was really wary given the previous name of this place having pretty bad reviews, but I had a really good experience overall. The staff was friendly, and it was nice to be able to pick my own ingredients and have them wok cooked. Having eaten at similar places in the past the one thing that was probably both good and bad is that I didnt get to mix in my own sauce. The positive of it was I couldnt accidentally make a horrifying un-eatable concoction, but I felt like only being able to say spicy or not spicy was limiting on flavor. Still in the region I cant think of anywhere you can mix your own wok bowl like this. Definitely worth giving them another try after the rebrand.

This place is awesome. I always get random cravings for Chinese food, but then I regret it afterward because I always feel like crap after eating it. However, this place has really quality food for normal prices (compared to other Chinese food restaurants in the area). You can order online and the delivery was fast (actually quicker than the time it said online). Bonus points for great orange chicken. Its hard to find "orangey" (not just tangy) orange chicken. There is one place I go to in North Portland just for the orange chicken, but now I can just get it from Canton Pheonix! Keep up the good work and dont change a thing!

This is the renovated Wok Inn. The decor is nicer and theyve kept the buffet (though removed the ice cream machine) and added a menu for additional items. We elected to stick with the buffet and werent impressed. My wifes meal tasted of mildew (older veggies?) and I thought the riblets were chewy and the raw chicken a little gooey. There are some added items as well, which was nice to see.
