This has become my favorite quick service Mediterranean resturant! My first try I had one of their Manakeesh flat breads - the Beef Lahamajeen. It was a light dish with enough spice and flavor to leave you satisfied yet wanting more. (I love cinnamon in savory entrees!!) This would be a great item on the go if you fold it like a pizza slice. On my second trip I had the Beef Shawarma Pita with strips of rotisserie beef, tahini sauce, lettuce, tomato and spices. It also included onions (not mentioned on the menu) which were fresh, crisp, and offered a nice contrast to the mild and creamy tahini. OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD!!! The pita didnt look like much when it arrived, but as soon as I picked it up I knew I had a fight on my hands. Do I eat it all or just half? Lemme tell ya, halfway through my breathing got shallow. The beef was smoky; marinated to perfection. It had a bit of crunch too, which may have been due to them giving me the last bits as I arrived near closing time. I didnt mind. They filled that sucker up and it was so good! The silky tahini sauce was tangy with a mild finish. I licked some excess off the plate. I wouldve licked it clean had I not noticed the kitchen staff was packing up. Im already planning my next visit. I hope to bring a group so we can pass our plates around. Definitely a winner!

Top notch ingredients and authentic recipes that will make you forget about store-bought pitas and other local "Mediterranean" restaurants. From the Manakeesh to the various kebabs, this food is excellent. Fresh and hot pitas compliment every meal and are thick and flavorful unlike the crappy thin tasteless pitas that come out of a bag. I have enjoyed the Lebne -- a very thick strained Greek yogurt and the falafel very much, and for a change not over salty like in other places. The hummus is also better here as well. Service is fast-casual and food preparation is done in view of the customers. Excellent food, excellent value. Note they are now closed Sundays.

Hands down the best Arabic food I have had outside the middle East and being honest, its better than a lot I have had over there. You have to try it!!!! Looks like a hole in the wall but show up at luck time to find a line of wealthy customers out the door. The press is made fresh for each other. You really cannot get better than this

My boyfriend and I love Sultain restaurant, so when Cedar opened we were excited to try it. The food is excellent, the prices are a smidge lower than Sultain and its WAYYYY closer to us. We got falafel, manakeesh, shawarma, hummus..... everything was delicious. Cant wait to go back!

Fresh pita bread and deliciously spiced meats. The chicken kabob was pretty good, the beef shawarma was fantastic, and I got a manakeesh as well which was fantastic (pita bread laid out like a pizza with toppings). My wait was about fifteen minutes. Great prices. Ill be back.

I havent had pitas this fresh since I was in Dubai on business! All food here is so fresh and cooked to order right in front. So glad that an authentic middle eastern restaurant opened up downtown! Will be coming here often for lunch!

Delisious fresh food. The place is very clean. I usually get the gyro pita. I love it. They load it up with lots of fresh cut meat off the rotisserie. The meat rotisseries are eye catching and their pita oven is cool to look at.

Absolutely fantastic. Go for the fresh made pita or the gyro pita that is stuffed full of meat. Not at all the skimpy servings at other places. And on top of all that, the prices are quite reasonable.

The best middle Eastern food Ive ever had in Rochester. The owner is Lebanese and a great guy. The pitas are home made in front of you, and the side dishes are all fresh. I WILL be coming back.
