I have read some of the reviews on this site for this restaurant but must disagree with most. I have been coming to the Buffet Palace for several years now. Never once have I ever seen any type of insects roaming the restaurant. The food has been quite exceptional for the most part. I can only think of one time where I thought that a specific dish could of been more fresh, but once I spoke to the management, the dish was immediately replaced with a fresh one. I have never seen any types of unauthorized or "extra" charges on my bank statement regardless of what someone wrote on their review. Yes, I will agree that there is a little bit of a language barrier, but considering that I have chosen to dine at a restaurant that is owned by people who originated from a different country, I think I can show some compassion and just deal with it. Perhaps some of you could do the same. Their selection is a wide range from Chinese to American. They have a small area for dim sum, a small grill for people who like Mongolian style, sushi, and much more. The dinner does have a better selection of sushi than the lunch except on the weekends. It is a little more on the pricey side for the weekend ($16.99) but nothing compared to buffet prices in Vegas for those of you who know what I am talking about. All in all, I think this place is well worth your time and has above average food for a buffet. If you are looking for a buffet that will absolutely knock your socks off, this is not the place for you. Go to the brunch buffet at Saltys instead and expect to pay nearly $50 a person.

Firstly I must mention to you that my friends and I, we like trying new cuisines & flavours, we go out for food at least twice a month . So me and my friends come here to have lunch right after leaving church. while we were there my sis went and got her first plate two seconds after being seated she saw ant (insect) come out of here food onto to the table thats when we all saw the ant too. it was terrifying. what was more terrifying was that the waitress nor the manager was willing to accommodate to what just happened. so my sister went ahead and paid for the whole bill including the her food (full plate not ate at all). the manager refused to take her food off the bill, basically he was in denial and defensive about it. very devastating must also declare to you i would not recommend BUFFET PALACE FOR MY WORSE ENMEY. Matter of fact my sister is filing a lawsuit. yes it was that bad. The service was absolutely disappointing. The waiters had extremely hard to communicate with. they generally made fuss annoying us. In addition they could hardly notice us when we wanted something (water, more wine, the bill etc.). In a few words...you should better try McDonalds on the main road...opposite the restaurant. That bad!!

Ive been here many times and never had such worst customer service! If I could rate a zero I would of! Our waiter Cindy was standing next to us just waiting for us to leave making us uncomfortable and was saying bye to us many times as to leave when we werent even finished. She waited for about 5 minutes for us to leave and standing right at our table staring at us and throw the fortune cookies and said bye to us as to leave! We began to leave since we have never had nor will stand for that kind of treatment! She then went ahead and told us "such a large table and no tip" what kind of waiter is that! We didnt even pay yet and could of went to the register to leave tip with our cards so there was no need to judge nor think we werent and she shouldnt of said anything! When we went to tell the manager the women just said sorry and we will talk to her and began to start laughing with the lady next to her as if it wasnt important and she wasnt taking it seriously! Have never had this experience there but with all the comments and rates I should have known!

OK so. I went here for the first time with my fiance tonight. They have a lot of choices. I thought the food was decent enough . You go there for the variety not quality. I dont like the fact you cant fill ur own water. And soft drinks are not free refills. Another think I disliked was the bright pink sign right next to my facet. Stating; in order to keep our prices low, please do not take more then you can eat. If there is Excessive waste of food you may be an extra charge on your bill. Enjoy! Like seriously? Lol. The desert bar is lame as well. Since its Friday they charge weekend pricing. Which is 16.99 per adult. When we paid they only charged us 14.99 each. So as we are almost to our car a lady runs out Saying that we need to pay more. So of course we went in and paid the 4 bucks. But I cant believe your gona run after a customer for 4$! Im wondering if we were already in our car driving away if she still would have stopped us. Its like ur the one who messed up and mischarged us lol. Overall not going back. Grading this place C-

Among the best Asian Buffets I have found... Ok, lets be clear. Buffet food is almost never the same quality as menu dining. So when I say this is an amazing buffet, Im comparing it to other buffets, not other menu dining places. That said, you will be hard pressed to find an asian buffet that does better than this place. It deserves points on the basis of sheer option alone. Buffet Palace is one of the most expansive asian buffets Ive ever found, with 4 or 5 large rows of entres including a variety of sushi. The best buffet sushi Ive ever had, with medium to large size rolls and generous portions of the good stuff on them. The only complaint I have is that I didnt like the kind of white rice they used. Its very large grained and not very sticky. In the end, Ive only been to Buffet Palace once and I wasnt able to try so many things. Im really looking forward to coming back and trying more. I would eat there all the time if I could afford it!

They started as a great buffet, but as the others in the area started closing their price started climbing. It was around $11 to start and now is to $16 with no additional advantages to the increase. Dont go when it is light because they will not refill the containers. The food is just average. But if you have to have a buffet experience guess what, there are no others in Beaverton so they take advantage of that fact. I think by staying away we will send them a message to get their act together again. My husband is 67 and asked for the senior discount which would be around 60 cents. The owner or manager at the front desk asked him to show his license for proof of age, it was in the car. He had to go to the car to get the discount. He passed and paid the 60 cents. Really. I wish he looked young but 67 is 67 and obviously he looked like a senior. I think they need to readjust their thinking about what constitutes a $16.00 meal.
