Very bad experience, at least 4 times I order food the end up giving me someones else food. On one occasion I was picking up the food I told them to check it was the wrong bag I was pist. And few times I think some of the meet was left from the day before it was kind of dry. I wont recommend this place at all. I dont order from there anymore and my cousin said the same thing he had few problems in the past. And so many times they keep hiring different people and mostly kids. I never order or go there again.

I decided to try this BBQ place when the quality seemed to get worse at the one in Bound Brook. Now, Im finding that the quality of preparation has been going down here as well. There seems to have been some staff changes and less pride in preparation. Prices have gone up and quality down. I drive a good distance to get here as well. Not doing that if Im going to be served dried out chicken and rice along with very watery beans. Wake up or lose your customer base.

When one wants good Portuguese food, they would have to think twice whether they want to take a risk an drive up to Newark, NJ. Not anymore. Dunellen BBQ outdoes itself with its delicious sauce and well prepared meats. I have tried other “BBQ’s” in the area,and let me tell you, they don’t compare to this place. Prices are okay, and I could do without the vegetables in the rice, but all in all, this place definitely stands out. Will be coming back for sure.

I absolutely love this place! i would recommend it to anyone. Great food at an extremely reasonable price. Being a foodie, I think that they are much better than the one in Bound Brook, which is just average. My only complaint is that the food gets dry ( especially the ribs) at certain times of the day due to the lack of traffic. It is best to go to Dunellen BBQ during the dinner and lunch rush when the food is hot off the spit and more tasty.

This place is crazy. All the lime I order food they say 20 min then I have to wait another 20 to get the food after you get there , but wait other people come after me and leave before me....thats crazy.... I think they have something against black people. Today I ordered tilapia went to pick it up and they claimed they didnt have an order for me. Thanks dunellen bbq for being so horrible. Dont get food from them!!!!!!!

My Parents Actuly OWN this resturand And in 10 years or so ill own it. But honestly the steak is good and the portugise food is amazing. The process on how its made is amazing. Trust me Ive made some food back there like salads. the service is great too. All the waitresses speak several languages and they even (sometimes) do partys and barmitsfas in the back. I recommend everyone come here to eat. Seriously

Amazing taste of barbecue they have. The taste is so unique that you can still feel the taste of it ever you are already at your home sleeping. Yes, that is how good they cooked their barbecue here. I am also planning to order barbecue here on my birthday. You can also invite your friends to go here because it is very affordable and the service is awesome.

I gave 5 stars for the food and Prices. Now, iam a regular customer in this place and always like to go there with my wife at least 3 times a week but one thing we dont like and is when iam still eating, one of the server comes with the check asking me if i want anything else. And that is not professional.

I had a rather interesting experience. I paid $8.55 for a large soup for pick up, which in turn took 10 minutes to be "ready" and was bagged with no spoon or napkin. Im all for supporting local business but wouldnt say Id stop by this place again for another pick up anytime soon.

Food is generally very good for the price. Can be hit or miss even with something simple like a steak sandwich. The quality can vary quite a bit here as well as the other store in Bound Brook. Sometimes they really hit it out of the park and you feel youre getting a bargain.

Very good ribs. I usually get an order to go for $15 which is enough for three. Plenty of rice and fries included. If youre in the mood for ribs, which I am about once a month, this is a great local choice.

Food is always delicious. HUUUUGE portions. Order a lunch, and have enough to share some and have more left over take home. Prices are great for what you get. Only one caveat. Dont go if youre in a rush.

Ive only tried the BBQ short ribs, chicken and spare ribs, but so far so good! Huge portions and reasonable priced. Been there a few times during lunch hours and no complaints so far.
