I distinctly remember in the fall of 2015, this place had the best burgers. The service was ok... But the food made up for it. Not so lately it seems. The buns have often tasted dry, almost stale. The burgers? One might argue not worth the high price. And then today...I drove all the way out from ne Lacey to pick up some burgers. I ordered a holy cow which is supposed to have jalepenos on it and I asked for onions. Having been charged for adding onions I expected them to be on there. But nope. And no jalepenos either. Sometimes because people are human and make mistakes, our expectations become dashed. But having made Big Toms a long family tradition, I know that the owner has invested his life into this locally owned business and deeply cares how his employees interact with customers and that he strives to deliver only the best food to his customers. Many people will experience impeccable service, high quality food and will leave satisfied. If you ever have a poor experience here, consider it an anomaly. Everyone makes mistakes. Go back and visit them again.

I had to come back 3 days in a row to finally eat here. They close at 8 so dont be late...take it from me, that sucks. I would put Big Tom in the quick serve pantheon of burger joints. I think it fair to expect a little more for them than a fast food burger but not as much as a $15 slow food joint. On this, BT delivers in spades. Take a look at the Mystery Machine out front and it gives you an idea of the attention to detail they try to deliver. First off the Mystery Machine is bad ass, so that equates to fast and friendly service by people who know the menu, delivery with a smile in a timely manner on tables that were cleaned that morning and monitored to stay that way. The burgers are not cooked to order, but they are hot and juicy, and have melted cheese all over them. Tots rock as do the rings and fries. Are they homemade...no, but they are cooked perfectly and frankly fit the atmosphere. Grab a lot and a tub full of "Goop" and go to town. Go here for a good time...youll enjoy the experience.

Fell like a great burger and fries? A handmade milkshake and tots? A corn-dog for the kids? Big Toms is the place to go! It is a drive through that in nicer weather has some benches and tables (some under cover) to sit and enjoy a great burger (with their signature trademarked Goop). Our guests frequent it for a quick and better alternative to the chain burger places. Big Toms uses organic grass fed beef, with a vegetarian option for those so inclined. The shake of the month is always fun. Maple Bacon is so good and better than it sounds. We walk or ride up there with our kids as well. So down the end of the street it is on the corner of is a great park (Lions Park). The perfect place to sit and enjoy and delicious, scrumptious burger!

Ive had lunch here several times and have always had a great experience. There beef, chicken & fish burgers are all great. They make great fries & tator tots and I find them reasonably priced....and they dont skimp on those side portions. A large order of tator tots is enough for 3 people! I once ordered clam chowder and the manager was nice enough to tell me the batch had been burned so she was hoping to talk me out of it. She then offered me a free shake instead. Rarely has a restaurant told me that what I ordered was not up to their standards and rarely have I been offered a complimentary item in its place. I was quite impressed and very happy I didnt spend money on something burned. The employees are ALL friendly!!!!! Thumbs up Big Tom!

A tiny hut in the middle of a parking lot where the workers run out to get your order and money and bring you your food. The younger guy was nice and talked with us for a bit. The food was OK. Larger burger than any fast food place and for about $2 it was decent. The tots and fries were a bit on the greasy side and unsalted, which I LOVE! I really dont like when the place puts salt on your fries I feel they always put way to much on it. The food was decent and I would go back if needed something fast however this isnt the first place I would go. Another customer was raving about the milkshakes, but there was no way I had room for one.

Are you people serious about their food or have you not had a truly great burger? Its obvious that both Big Toms/Eagans use frozen nasty patties that have NO FLAVOR, nothing is fresh its all boxed food and their quality has dropped over the years. I realize this place is an icon in Oly but its not because of their food nowadays its because of the way it used to be! The staff are amazing and very kind buts thats the only positive thing about this place! This place used to be iconic because of the amazing taste of fresh food and BIG JUICY DELICIOUS BURGERS! Please bring back to GOOD OLD DAYS of Big Toms/Eagans

UPDATE! All below still holds true except they now take Credit and Debit Cards!! Another Great Burger and Shake Joint in the Olympia Area! Finally gave this place a try after hearing so much about it. Put of trying because it is cash only but found out they have a very convient ATM on the site. Im a big fan of Hans and Vans and now Im a Big Tom fan too! Goop is not what you think when you hear fry sauce... Think more like thin devil egg filling. I liked it! You know it must be something special when you have people standing outside in 30°F weather to eat there!

Good solid burgers, dogs, fries, onion rings, and shakes. Salty and fresh. Service is fast and friendly. They feature "goop sauce" on their burgers and as a dipping sauce. "Goop" appears to be a blend of mayo, mustard and relish. Many flavors of shakes can be had. Huge soft serve ice cream cones for 99 cents are sold just across the parking lot at their own ice cream stand. Pricing is reasonable and cute. For example, $2.62 for a large fry or $1.31 for a medium drink. Not sure what thats all about but it shouldnt stop you from checking this place out.

Great experience at Eastside Big Tom recently. My wife went through the drive-through, and after she had paid and taken the food, she realized shed forgotten to order our sons hamburger. Frustrated, she turned around and got back in line. The young man who had taken her order saw her in line again, and jogged over to see what the matter was. When she explained the situation, he told her hed be right back with the hamburger -- at no charge. This is the kind of service that makes this restaurant an Olympia institution!

Excellent greasy burgers with their own house sauce called Goop (I couldnt quite put my finger on it, but I think its a cross of honey mustard and tartar - its excellent). If you get fries or tots, choose wisely - the order is enough for two. The service is quick and friendly. The only reason Im docking a star is because of the price - $50 for 4 burgers, one fry, one tot and three shakes. Very good fast food, but bordering on sit down prices
