Probably one of the best sushi places youll find in Redmond, but Im disappointed in the overall quality of sushi in this area. Might have too high standards from spending time in Japan (yeah obviously, but I also like $1 robot sushi in Japan so not THAT high)... However, even as a lover of American style sushi, most of the rolls (not something that really exists in Japan) seem extremely "samey". They have about 40 roll options but really it is the same 3 or 4 rolls with every conceivable permutation. That wouldnt be a bad thing except it makes reading the menu to find unique stuff a huge chore. With three people we decided on three rolls and then realized they were all basically the same thing with only subtle differences. Still, worth coming here if you feel like sushi.

Been going to Oto as our "go to" for years, both locations (Juanita and Redmond). It wont compete with some of the big boys on the west side (Mashiko, Momiji, Shiros, Umi, Japonessa, etc.) but it is a very small step down. The Miyabi (about 10-12 pieces of sashimi and nigiri, one roll and miso + salad) for about $25-30 is the way to go. Fish is fresh and on par with some of the best in Seattle. I have not ventured into udon or other fare territory as I always eat sushi, sashimi, and nigiri when I go to Oto. We eat here at least 2-3 times/month. Takeout is easy as well.

If you live in Redmond this is the best sushi for the best price. I love that they have themed sushi dinners based on what fish you like most. I love the salmon dinner and they also have smaller themed versions called flights. The Toro Flight is very good. The Chefs choice sashimi is always excellent and the chirashi is a good choice too. I like to get their dake udon with some kind of flight and ikura sashimi. Their udon is admittedly not the best, but it is enough to hit the spot. Service is always prompt here and I have always enjoyed my food here.

Embarrasing because I found this out the wrong way, but dont want anyone else to have to deal with this. They did not clean their shrimp out before making it into my order tonight. The whole thing got thrown in t the trash, this place was once not bad, but the sushi has become more expensive as time goes on. My order tonight was two rolls for a little over $30. I rarely give eateries poor reviews, but Im done. I recomend not eating here, you may regret it later.

Wish i could go everyday! I love the happy hour here! DRAGON ROLL!!! Yum! The quality of fish here is wonderful. Everything is so fresh and of course everything is made when you order. Place is very clean nice looking. Awesome pictures of their food framed on the wall as well as a TV that scrolls through pictures with names so you can see what you might want to order. Thank you you guys! Oh and there are vegetarian and gluten free options!

This place charges fair prices for good sushi and Japanese food. I generally order Udon Tempura, especially in the colder months. They also have a happy hour where rolls are 5.50$ between 4:30-6:30. Pending on the time of day, you might have to wait a little bit. The last time I went, me and my friend had a ten minute wait.

Excellent quality fish and preparation. Only 4 stars as they lack a common Japanese element of the order of things. Sometimes sushi comes out before the appetizers or sashimi, and most recently had my sake served with common whiskey shot glasses. Given the chefs background at Miyabi, they should know better!

This place is really good! There are better places in Seattle, but you have to go to Seattle. For Redmond this is our go to place! Fish is very good - as long as you dip it in soy sauce first. Rolls are fun - I suggest the Buddha Roll. For nigiri - they never go wrong on their salmon.

Im from Southern California with family in the Redmond area. Every visit to see family, I bring my mom and friends for lunch or dinner because its the best sushi Ive had for years. Its the fresh fish, choices, and wonderful staff. Love it! Its so much better than what we have in socal.

Food is good(not great), i used to eat there a lot, But a woman who meets guests, every time unwelcome you, she always irritated and looks like she hates you. So decided to stop go there - do not want to feel that negative energy every time (bad for appetite)

This is the best sushi Ive ever had. The rolls have a really good ratio of fish to rice, and the seaweed is softer so the pieces are more pleasant to eat. There is a really nice variety on the menu, and we havent disliked anything weve ordered.

Really good and fresh sushi. Large assortment of sushi as well as traditional dishes. During busy times the wait is very long sometimes over an hour. The wait staff can be lacking at times and they have a high turn over.

I go here all the time. They can be a little pricey but the fish is quality here. They are often quite packed so its best to go before or after dinner rush. They have awesome happy hour selections and lunch choices too.

Excellent innovative sushi rolls! Such variety, including many veggie options. IMO best sushi place in the Seattle area. My favorites include fire alarm roll, seared salmon, veggie Buddha and veggie mango cilantro.

Order the Avalon & Salmon King roll. If youre adventurous, also order the Godzilla roll. The tea is super hot, and sometimes service can be slow, but overall fantastic experience every single time I go.

We usually order nigiri lunch ($12.95) and since its up to the chief what will come in it, one might expect it to be a hit. But sometime its a miss. The sushi/nigiri are smaller than we used to get.

Great sushi in a relaxed environment. Probably the freshest fish on this side of the bridges. Nice enough venue, very friendly staff, some innovative rolls, and a good happy hour. Worth the trip!

The staff was so nice and the sushi was amazing. I got free edamame and chatted with the chefs as they rolled. Went in on a Sunday for dinner and was seated right away and given food really fast.

Very good overall and has become my go-to Japanese place since first started coming here a couple months ago. Not 100% authentic in terms of food and staff, but tasty nonetheless.

Great care is taken to bring the best, freshest and most delicious sushi, sashimi, and hand made rolls to your table. This is sushi that all of the family loves.

By far the best sushi and rolls on the East side. Its a bit spendy but for this quality of sushi Im happy to pay it. Fire Starter Roll is one of my favorites.
