Decided to come here for a late lunch on a day when it had been snowing profusely. I called ahead to make sure they were open and they were. This place is not super easy to see from the street. It has two entrances, the main one being the door on the right. The left door goes to the bar area. I am not sure how busy they are on a non "storm" day, but when I went it was 2pm and it was just me and another table. The manager sat me and explained the new items on the menu in detail as well as pointed out the 18% gratuity that was an auto add to the checks. I already knew this from browsing the website, but appreciated her letting me know. My take on that is if you are mandating customers pay gratuity then your service better be ON POINT. Menu- lunch consists of a variety of specialty burgers, sandwiches, some salads and a few entrees. It isnt overwhelming. For those who dont eat a lot of meat, they make their own veggie patties to substitute if needed on their burgers. My meal: Dungeness crab chowder- excellent. Flavor was savory, base was a mix between a cream and broth, with chunks of potatoes and other veggies that complimented it. I enjoyed it. Rancher burger with veggie burger patty substituted with side of carrot slaw- ate the slaw first. Nice mix of flavors. The semi sweet carrot flavored with a tangy honey mustard type vinagarette. I really enjoyed it. Now for the burger...the presentation was great, fresh veggies with onion straws, melted cheese, the veggie patty looked like a mix of quinoa and other things...I was excited. I bit into it and...what a disappointment. The veggie patty was mush. It pretty much oozed out of the bun. What was left had no texture or flavor. Im pretty sure the Costco bean patty burgers would have tasted better than what I just ate. Such a disappointment. Maybe they dont make them often. Im not sure, but it needs to be re formulated and perfected. It shouldnt be mush or taste like nothing. Cons- music was a weird selection and kind of loud. Expected better service for mandatory gratuity. Had to ask for more water and the server didnt offer any insight as to meal selections. Veggie burger patty was a fail, and if you are going to charge $17 for a burger, the veggie option should be just as good, otherwise charge less. Pros- if you are a beef eater, this place is a really good choice. Food was fresh and the selections have chef creativity behind them. They have a good selection of local brews too. Based on my experience 3 1/2 stars. I might have to come back and try something without the veggie burger Patty. Iron Rabbit chefs, if you change up your veggie Patty please let me know, I would definitely welcome a redemption challenge.

Bottom line first: local joint with good food and friendly staff that is at times overshadowed by a dull environment. ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 (but Ill round up) Food was good, but not great. The atmosphere was kind of dull, but we were there late on a Friday. Dark bar with some TVs and no music. The lamb kofta kabobs were good and the tsatziki was definitely homemade and definitely good. The fish and chips are home made with a beer batter and panko encrusted. Good crust and well cooked. I was surprised in a good way by the curry. Great flavor. Got it with the chicken, which was not cooked into the dish. Was just placed on top of the curry as an afterthought. We really liked our bartender, Dominica. Great service and good company. She suggested some great drinks for us. Would go back to try more of their large gin collection.

Iron Rabbit is awesome because of the high quality food in a laid back atmosphere. I love that I can eat arguably finer food without all kinds of attitude like I find at some of the higher end places. The burgers, hands down, are the BEST on the planet - the Cowboy Burger with onion rings and bacon is so big you cant even fit your mouth around it! They also have rotating beers on draft so if youre a beer fan, youre always in for a surprise. Could use more fruit based items on the dessert menu, but the one fruit dessert they have - NORTHWEST BERRY COBBLER - makes me weep at how yummy it is. Seriously, people. If youre one of those who has driven by a hundred times and never come in for whatever reason, you owe it to your tastebuds to swing in for a burger, a beer, and some dessert. You can thank me later. :)

I orderd the Fish & Chips. What I got was 3, overcooked, baby sized, cod McNuggets, 5 french fries and a bowl of bland slaw. When the waitress asked how everything was I told her I was not happy with the Baby Sized portion of Cod McNuggets and my 5 french fries.. and..SHE DID NOTHING TO FIX IT OR COMPENSATE, she just LOL and walked away...WTF?!! Of course my wife and our friend got the $19.00 Giant bowls of Chicken Alfredo....WTF! I felt like a kid who was being punished with my baby plate and my Cod McNuggets! Even my $8 "pint" of beer was tiny 6oz glass of WTF!?. After my $85 appetizer I stopped at BK and got a Whopper...Iron Rabbit Rip OFF!

What an awesome place to come spend a few hours. The food is incredible, unique and well thought out. The service was beyond the food. I highly recommended you come here and enjoy a meal. They truly care that you are satisfied is every aspect. Their bat stocks locally made spirits and I can really stand behind that as Washington has some phenomenal distillers. This place is a must in the Oly area and as far as Olys food scene is considered most likely the best. Their reviews speak for themselves. Dont miss out.

Small and cozy restaurant with a welcoming vibe. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The brunch menu offers comfort foods and old standards with interesting fusion twists. The wait staff are pleasant and helpful, offering suggestions and managing substitutions without complaint or quirked eyebrow. This is also the only restaurant in Olympia that has yet to bring me an incorrect order, a rare feat for any restaurant. Worthy of a visit for a local or if youre just a passer-through.

Me and my friend were driving back from Portland to Seattle and found this gem of a restaurant on the way. We went 30 mins before closing time and we never felt rushed. Had the home made root beer which was probably the only item which ended being disappointing. But the lamb burger was pretty darn good and the best was the desert. We had a fruit custard which is probably one of the best custard Ive ever had in my life. Nothing to complain about the service , over all had a good time.
