There are only a few parking spots in front, but you can park behind or in the WaWa next door. We ordered and brought the food home to eat. It traveled well, was nicely packed and was delicious. We ordered tacos with everything on the side, then assembled ourselves, so it was all fresh. Food quality was excellent and very tasty. Kids enjoyed tacos, I had a chicken burrito, wife liked chicken taco, but found beef taco a bit bland. Ordering experience was so-so. I wanted to order nachos and cheese, which was not on the menu. The only option cost $11, so I declined and got some from the WaWa.

I can honestly say I’ve never had a better curry fish burrito in my life. Sure, it may not be a common menu item, but Big Wave does it deliciously well. The menu is fairly large for a place with pretty much just tacos and burritos, and each item is tasty. The decor is adequately zany with a surf bum vibe. Service is a bit hit or miss. My order took nearly 20 minutes even though I was the only person inside. For a seafood burrito, you can’t do much better.

Let me preface this by saying that I dont like Mexican food. I came here because my Cuban wife was craving tacos. When you walk in, the atmosphere is appropriately beach themed. I ordered 3 soft shell chicken tacos and they were fantastic. This is the best taco I have ever eaten. It blows chains like Moes and Chipotle completely out of the water. Well done. Absolutely recommend this place.

Big Wave Burrito is neato! Family-friendly and great decor. Celebrated 5 de Mayo and my bday there yesterday and it was a great experience. My back was to a wall of skateboards and above were all the cool surfboards. The food was good, the meal was plentiful and the price, insanely cheap for a priceless dining experience with family in Cape May.

Great value, friendly staff, what would be expected from a Mexican restaurant in Cape May. Decoration, and music was very fitting. Would have given a 5 star if there was parking, and if the place took credit cards. A cash only business isnt bad, but it could be an inconvenience.

Their "açaí bowl" can taste anything... but not açaí! Maybe they should call açaí smoothie in a bowl. Even the granola they put on top is bad, not crunch at all. Im from Brasil and those bowls are far far far away from a real açaí bowl! Sorry!

Love big wave! Delicious and filling Mexican style food. They are cash only and be prepared to wait 15+ minutes for your food even when youre the only one there, but its worth it!! (Get Gs crunch wrap and a banana bean smoothie.)

The servers were very nice and the food was pretty good. The drink selection was very limited, there was no A/C and it was ridiculously hot in the restaurant. I felt like the food was slightly overpriced for what you got.

Been here a few times. Always pretty good but the big wave classic Rio was not even close as described .For 10.95 wanted more than a few bites of a banana and a load of granola but usually pretty good

A unique spot for tacos, burritos and Mexican - style bowls. Very good food, nice decor and friendly vibe. Definitely a step up from your usual tex-mex cafe.
