Took an overnight trip with the wife and kids down to Seaside Oregon and stopped here along the way. It had great reviews on yelp so we anticipated some good eats. The place is quite cool and they have a nice outdoor seating area. They have a huge selection of beers and the menu is large. For the most part, there was nothing really special about most of the food. My daughter couldnt finish her chicken strips because they were not good. I had a fish sandwich that was actually pretty good and dressed very well with red onion, pickles, lettuce and tartar sauce. My wife had a burger and the actual meat part was very tasty but the toppings were so full of moisture that her bun fell apart and she ended up having to eat her burger with a knife and fork. When she reached the bottom of it, the moisture had deteriorated the paper in her basket and Im pretty sure that she ate some of the paper. The fries, onion rings and deep fried zucchini were just bleh. Probably straight out of the freezer and into the fryer. The worst part of our visit was that it seemed like the cook could only make one order at a time. All four of us in our party received our food at very different times. My wifes burger came out pretty quickly but then we had to wait. Then the chicken strip meal showed up followed 5 to 10 minutes later by the next meal and then finally I received my sandwich. What do you do in that situation? Sit and wait while your food gets cold so that you can eat as a family or do you dig in and just sit and wait for the rest do finish after youre done? It wasnt horrible but it wasnt as great as all of the yelpers reviews made it out to be. Next time, well skip the Red Wagon and opt for someplace else. Thanks for reading.

I drive past this place all of the time and based on the amount of state workers I see eating there during the week I thought it must be pretty good. They have a huge sign advertising Phillys so that was what I tried. Ive eaten Phillys all over the country and understand that there are different versions, but I think this one was a fail. It was hot, it was fresh, and the portion size was goo, but it had no flavor. It was basically ground beef with onions and mozzarella cheese. No green peppers, no mushrooms, just hamburger onions and cheese. I ordered it as a meal with onion rings because there is nothing better than homemade onion rings, and while they werent bad, they did seem like they came out of a bag. The bigger issue is that you get 5 onion rings. Why not 7? For $15 it seems like they were sort of skimpy on the onion rings. The service was OK, but I had to ask the girl at the counter if my meal came with a drink because she was talking to the other teenage girl on shift and never gave me a cup. I see a lot of glowing reviews about the food and maybe the hamburgers really are that good, but based on the greasy philly I wouldnt count on it. Others have lauded the great prices. $15 for a greasy/soggy flavorless sandwich, 5 passable onion rings and a glass of tea is not a great price. I will not likely eat here again. Meconis is right across the street and makes a better Philly for my money.

Overrated. This place acts like they are the philly cheese steak gods on their signs, but ironically the one thing this place cannot seem to do, is make a cheese steak. I think I have had over 100 phillies in my life or more actually, countless. I get one every chance I get. I like different versions too. Their Philly more resembled a sloppy joe, and a disgusting one (I like sloppy joes). It was covered in a very terrible tasting brown sauce. I asked what it was, and asked is that barbecue sauce. It fell apart which I normally would not complain about but this was basically you need a fork, and the bread was soggy. I think you guys are constantly changing this thing, because others got mushrooms, and the picture online of the philly you used to serve did not have that nasty sauce. I do not know about the burgers (have not tried one), but I have never had a worse philly cheese steak. The manager acted like I was the problem lol. "Sorry this is not something you would order, I would order something else". Garbage looks nothing like the picture online. I am telling you, I would not feed that to my dog. Want a tasty philly go across the street to Meconis

The service is always friendly. Thick, like really thick, burgers, quality ingredients and battered fries make it a go to for the hungry masses. You can get it to go or even call it in for quick pickup. Just be sure you think about your order of its to go. Some ingredients can be wet and you wont want a soggy burger. The wraps were just ok and the salad wasnt incredible but the phillys are delicious. They also have fried zucchini, cheese sticks, mushrooms, etc. A little something for everyone. When the family cant decide I order burgers from here and terriyaki from next door. They now offer beer and I believe wine too. Bottled only, no taps. Seating is cheap diner quality but do have TVs now. They also have dog friendly patio seating outside but be careful. The intersection is very busy so ensure they are secured.

Ive only been here twice, but both times the food was good. I cant help but feel Ive shortened my lifespan though. Each visit my burger had a pretty big soggy section of bun and I couldnt finish it. I did get my food to go but I only have about a 2 minute drive and Im back in my office. There was also literally a puddle of grease in the bottom of the burger wrapper each time I went. I actually poured it into a pile of napkins so my burger wasnt just soaking in it even more. I think maybe eating in would be better as it wouldnt even have time to sit wrapped up in a big puddle of grease. The fries are really good. They are crispy and fresh.

I wasnt too sure about this place at first. The price was pretty steep but I quickly found out why. I got a California burger and onion rings while one of my friends got the fries. I gotta say after trying one fry I knew I was missing out. The onion rings werent to die for but they were alright. But the best part was the burger. Fresh avocado mixed with swiss on a large patty hit the spot. The burger itself was definitely sizable. If you dont like your burgers stacked this may not be the place for you. But for me personally I definitely am looking forward to my next trip out to Olympia to eat here again!

Good food. We love the onion rings--nice seasoning and perfectly cooked. Being a Philly girl, the Philly Cheesesteak is not quite authentic--where are the green peppers?!! And nix the mayonnaise! Mayo almost ruins the taste! The juice from the steak is whats needed. Mushrooms are included, and, although not authentic, I do like the addition. The Hawaiian Cheese Burger was a winner, too. Good service. Window cleaning while we ate kinda ruined the eating experience--the smell of the window cleaner detracted from the taste of the food. Please do your cleaning when customers are not eating.
