This has been a Bloomington establishment for a long time and is worth stopping by if you havent been. I wouldnt consider Swing In-Pizza your typical pizza joint. Their pizzas are more reminiscent of a homemade pizza that your parents or grandparents used to make. My only complaint would be the sides that came with our order. The breadsticks tasted like they were store bought and the nacho cheese tasted like the same thing youd get from a concession stand. Otherwise, the whole family enjoyed the pizza and well be back were in the mood for something just a little different.

This place has been around for decades. I was in B-Town unexpectedly at Lunch time. When I was in school at IU we always ordered Swing In because it was fast, but mostly because the Stroms were amazing. Sausage, cheese, onions & extra mushrooms for me. YUMMMMM, Tasted exactly as I remembered and a HUGE sandwich. No holding back on the food quantity. Turns out the same guy that used to deliver to us back in the day is STILL THERE. Wow, home town small business. I love to support these guys. Try them you will not be disappointed.

Anyone who rated this place 5 stars is a friend of the owners, knows nothing about good pizza or is a drunk college kid. First off, their positive notes. Clean, fresh food and friendly. As for the fresh food, its extremely bland and basic. The bread sticks are ones you would get out of the freezer aisle. The nacho cheese is out of a packet just like cafeteria nachos. Nothing there had any great taste..fresh, no flavor. Highly recommend this place to a frat kid looking to get some pizza at 3am after a bender.

This little hole in the wall pizza and sandwich shop had really good sauce and pizza. The prices were reasonable. Just dont plan to eat there, they are named Swing-in Pizza for a reason, they only have one small table. The service was good - quite friendly. Id recommend calling ahead or having them deliver in order to keep from overcrowding their building.

I have to say I think this place is the bomb. If you wanted a delicious little hole-in-the-wall pizza place, this is it. I gave them a 3 on decor because they arent trying to be a dine-in pizzeria but a take-out parlor. So it is tight on the inside, but their pizza is tighter and definitely worth a try. PS. Get something meaty.

Surprisingly delicious hand crafted pizza with high quality ingredients. Dont let the ramshackle building fool you, and dont expect fancy toppings. But if you want great pizza with fresh made dough, yummy shredded cheese, thick cut bacon, and a bright, tangy tomato sauce... This is your spot. This is my new favorite pizza.

I ordered carryout, and the premises are dingy and cramped, but they appear to be clean. The staff was friendly, although one of them was openly wearing a revolver on his hip, which may make some patrons uncomfortable. The pizza was bland and unremarkable. I doubt I will eat here again.

Swing-In Pizza has been in business since 1961 & focuses exclusively on delivery & carry-out. Swing-In-Pizzas are typically of a thinner crust variety and are sliced in squares rather than wedges.
