I went to their new Mequon location which will not last. The owner was there waiting on people. A lady in front of me who had never been there before in her 70s wanted a roast beef sub. The owner made her call it by name as he pointed to the board or he wouldnt ring it in and said he would charge her $2.00 more. He actually said "say it with me", and made her repeat it with him as he nodded his head slowly. When it was my turn I ordered a basic ham sub and a roast beef sub for my wife who hates tomatoes and onions. I asked for the sub with only meat, cheese, oil and spices. The owner got red in the face and clearly agitated. He asked me "Who is this sub for, a kid or something?" I asked why that mattered? He asked "can I at least add mayo?" to which I said no. He said "We typically dont take custom orders here" with a real attitude as he grabbed my $20 off the counter. I said you better get used to it, because there are a lot of people who dont like certain ingredients. With that he threw my money down on the counter and yelled "NO! If you want a custom sub, go to Jimmy Johns or Subway! If you were in France, would you start messing with the food there? We are arrogant here and know how our subs taste best and dont like screwing around like this. I will make it this time, but next time either dont order custom or dont come back!" Several people in the place left after hearing that exchange and as I waited for my food, I was stewing. When I picked the subs up at the counter after waiting like 10 or 15 minutes, I said to him "Thanks for going out of your way to please the customer, I know it was clearly difficult for you. You dont have to worry about a custom order from me in the future or any order for that matter." and left. I will never step foot in another Suburpia in my life and I dont believe you should either.

When I went into this Suburpia, I wanted two subs, both Gold Coasts - one with no tomato and mayo for my mother, who is allergic to egg, hence she cannot eat mayonnaise, and one with no veggies for myself. I was immediately criticized for ordering a sub with no veggies. He said if I had it "the way it was supposed to be", he would give me a free soda. So I took his offer for my sub. He kept my mothers sub with no tomato and mayo. They like pressuring you into just getting a regular sub. When I got home to eat it, the sub was just okay. It wasnt anything special. All of the oil had gathered up at the end of the sub bun, making the last bites very salty. The oily lettuce and onion mix was nothing special as well. He also called my mother fat on an occasion when she went in, saying she should "be eating a salad or taking a walk." I recommend going to Gold Coast subs instead on either 27th or the one on the inside of the Mobil station on 35th and Oklahoma. The subs are much better, the people are kinder, and you can actually get what you want with no pressure!

This is very unfortunate, I used to like their subs. $5.80 for 2 slices of beef, one slice of cheese and some horrible salty onion mix on a 4" sesame bun. A dirty woman, dressed as a candy stiper was working there. She rudely left us standing there to order sandwiches while she went into the back without telling us she was going to leave. Another patron in front of me turned and asked me where she went? LOL. I think she went on a smoke break? The sandwich was inedible. Seriously inedible. It had so much salty onion mix on it I could not eat it. I had this experience two other times prior to when I just wanted a sandwich and decided to try this place. Never again! This was like ordering a bad salt lick! For the same price I would rather drive across town to Potbellys for a real sandwich.

18 long and painful hours after eating at Suburpia I found myself sitting in an urgent care over the 4th of July weekend getting an IV & meds for food poisoning. I then decided to call the establishment who gave my wife and me food poisoning to let them know what happened. I spoke with the extremely rude owner of Suburpia (Blumnd & Hwy 100) & was told it wasnt their food and I must be mistaken. This was the only meal that I shared with my wife outside of home. Nobody else in the house got sick. By process of elimination, this was the source! I highly recommend that you find another place to dine unless of course you have a death wish.

Im so glad I finally tried this place. Ive driven past it a million times, but always was a little weary. I had the Roast Beef sandwich (forget what they call it), and the Mushroom Brie Soup. The sandwich had all the right textures, fluffy bread (I know some users experienced stale bread), cheese, lettuce (chopped so you can actually bite through it), tomatoes, and an herbed oil topping - this made it... The soup was also delicious, but rich. I dont have the stomach for both. Ill definitely go back. Seems it isnt a question of flavor, but consistency. **Went back - experienced the stale bread. Too bad.

About once a month our work orders 32 subs. We all love it. The person taking the phone order is extremely pleasant even thought you can hear in the background she is also busy. She goes the extra mile and puts the names on the bags so when the driver gets back there is no sorting. Super impressed. And this is not a one time deal. She does it every time. Good customer service is so hard to find nowadays, but at Suburpia it is common practice. We will continue to use them as our once a month employee lunch. Thanks bunches. The Graphic Edge team

The subs are expensive....period. Compare value to Jimmy Johns, Subway and Cousins..and Suburpia is a place that most people wont be able to frequent due to budget. The sandwiches are only about 5 inches long. The cost is about $5 a sandwich. I must say the bread is good. The Mequon location made a wise move, by adding friendlier staff. The "owner" manned the counter and was very iffy in his dealing with customers. The place is still operated poorly. The sandwiches are hit and miss...depending on who makes them. Not poor; but not great.

I have always loved these subs but there is a huge difference in them now, The seasonings are not the same and they were all put in the center of the sub instead of the roll itself. I know the previous owner got his rolls from Ninos Bakery and I dont believed these are the same ones. Our family has tried 6 of these subs and were so disappointed . This is not Suburpia as we know it. Its a shame because these used to be the favorite.. The great seasoning and dressing on the roll to die for but not anymore.
