Seriously I can not go into to much detail without fuming and foaming a t the mouth. Ive not once had service like this. Bad service would have been a step up. But no service is exactly what I received with. Your family. Were not a small party either. Fairly important occasion we all agreed on Mexican food. We picked apparently a busier night then most *although the p k ace is alwa g s packed* so didnt bother the w as it good food . Surprised when we were seated less then 10minutes into arriving. P l aced drink order with appetizers immediately. Received the drinks 15minutes later. And never saw are waiter again .well at least at our table. An hour later after we had stopped a couple waiters one on the way to restroom to ask for help and bartender on way back from restroom same .finally the appetizers came well some of the appetizers. That waiter just dropped the final appetizers said be right back to take order and he went to relieve someone *apparently*. Needless to say our dinner was our appetizers When my brother saw the people seated after us pay t b erected bill and leave there seats we lost our mood for Mexican food. Left went to Baskin Robbins and spoiled the rest of any chance for dinner. Baskin Robbins was yum and good service and kindly listened as my brother couldnt stop talking about dinner **or lack of dinner I should say**.

Ive been going to LaPa for over 14 years. So today was beyond disappointing. I was treating my mom and son to a late lunch after work. There was a hair in my food!!! Cheese melted over the hair. My son and my mom both seen it. I did not make a scene. I politely asked for our waitress. She came over I quietly pointed it out. She seriously said SHE COULDNT SEE IT. I asked for a manager because she made me feel like I was lying... She tells me shes the OWNER!!!! omg SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT. I send people there all the time. I will not be going back there ever again. I still can not believe the owner would act like if Im lying. The receipt said her name was Amelia. This is beyond disgusting. Spent 68.00 including a tip for the worst service I have ever experienced anywhere. If you eat here please please triple check your food before taking that first bite. I am so sad to make this review but she handled this so inappropriately. My son has been going there since he was 1 now 15 and he was embarrassed for the way she made me feel. Weve spent many birthdays holidays and special occasions there and NEVER again

I went to dinner with family and ordered a margarita first. We placed our orders and the food arrived quite quickly. As I ate, I sipped the margarita. I thought it tasted a little off, but could really taste how limey and salty it was (and it was supposed to be a Cadillac margarita) after I finished my meal and half the drink was gone. I called the waiter over and explained. He first asked me why I didnt tell him earlier, which I explained as due to there being other things on my taste buds which diluted the taste. So then he asked me, in a very rude tone, "Well what would you like me to do about it?" I answered that Id like a Cadillac margarita that tastes like something other than limes and salt. When he came back with the new drink, he made sure the glass was exactly half full. Then he set it down in front of me and stormed off without a word. He never asked if it tasted any better - which it did not. I wont be visiting this restaurant again, as long as hes working there.

(20 year Southwest US Native): This was very disappointing Mexican Food plain and simple. We ordered a beef enchilada, chili relleno and the pork carnitas. The enchilada and the relleno were both extremely bland and the red sauce and cheese followed suit. The rice was uneventful and both the whole pintos and refried beans lacked body and flavor. The only things that tasted good was the carnitas but at $18.95 a platter, Ill pass. The chips and salsa were also very good but this isnt enough to warrant a repeat visit. I do want to say that the service was extremely good and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Mexican Food thats this quality and style is half the price back home in Southern California. The sad part to me is that people here in Washington think this is good Mexican Food. Thankfully they dont know what theyre missing.

Let me start by saying I love Mexican food, I could pretty much eat it everyday. Now with that being said, I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants, but this place is in a class of its own. Since I first came here about four years ago, I have not eaten at another Mexican restaurant (with the exception of leaving town). Decor inside is awesome, very warm and inviting. Food is ALWAYS good, well priced, and you never have to wait long to get it. Drinks are strong and also priced well. Everyone that works there is always very nice and you can tell they appreciate that you are there, as opposed to some places that just try and turn out as many people as they can. For all of these reasons and a few more I will always go back, long live La Palmera!

I moved to Washington from southern California a few weeks ago. Ive lived in So Cal all of my life so I know what good Mexican food tastes like. Other friends who had moved to WA from CA had warned me that the Mexican food was not going to be as good. They were right - until we found La Palmera this afternoon. Finally - good Mexican food at decent prices. The waitress was very nice. At first we were seated near the kitchen but it was loud and I requested that she move us. She happily did so. She was attentive and cheerful throughout our meal. I cant comment on the quality of the alcoholic drinks because we didnt have any. Unless we find somewhere even better, La Palmera just became our favorite Mexican place in WA.

I was at an unexpected happy hour with everyone from work. I wasnt carrying ID that particular day, so refrained from ordering alcohol. We were seated in the bar AREA at the largest table. Its understandable that the management does not want to risk their business. However, to be yelled at by the manager in front of my work party and being asked to leave was extreme. He went on a tirade and later mollified it to "go sit in the dining area". By myself. It was humiliating and I would have left had I not been cajoled into staying by friends who offered to relocate their table with me. I am happy to comply with regulations, but I think theres a far better way of representing it. Will not be returning here.

Just had my first visit here, and am relaying my first impressions. The service was fantastic, and the wait staff is doing everything right. The food is okay, but not great. Id eat lunch here if I was hungry and just wanted Mexican food, however, I would not turn to La Palmera for dates or special occasions. The drinks were the one and only thing upsetting about my first visit here. Why on Earth a mixed shot cost $8 at this place is beyond me. My friend and I spent $16... $16 on two shots! If you are going to order drinks here, it would be a good idea to confirm the prices when ordering, just in case your shots end up costing $8 each.
