I have visited this restaurant probably 20+ times...and introduced others to it as well. I was not paid to say these things...but probably should! (-: Best pancakes Ive ever had, next to moms. Awesome omelettes. The staff has been wonderful. They are fun to talk with and have taken the time to get to know me. They have catered to my odd requests, like, I must have sugar free pancake syrup. They are right on it! I keep trying to weasel the recipe for their pancakes out of them, but this bunch is as tight lipped as the Egyptian Sphinx. They are not about to let this cat out of the bag. Not even the eldest lady who was there in 1963 when the recipe was created is telling me much. I extend an invite to any interested single lady(43-55 year old) who would like to meet me there (ONLY), after church someday, and lets see if we find these pancakes and this restaurant a compatible factor. This restaurant is a safe place to safely "do the vetting process" for a potential committed relationship, Lord Willing. This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, where it is easy to carry on a conversation without lots of loud noise and loud music. VERY comfortable! (I be found on LinkedIn, FaceBook, or Google+)

The food was great. I have no complaints about that at all. The fresh fruit bowl actually tasted like it was fresh. So thats a plus. My issues come from the staff. Hostess seats me at a table that was clearly dirty (the picture I posted). She even almost put the menu in the mess. Does nothing to clean it and just disappears. Waiter comes, gets drinks and food order, and again doesnt clean the mess. I knew he sees it cause he put my water and my fruit bowl in it. (Guess he was hoping that would clean it). Should I have said something? Maybe. But at a restaurant its not my job to tell you how to do yours. Thats why theres tipping. You do a good job, you get a good tip. Ignore messy tables, I ignore tips. I felt very rushed, even though they were not busy at all. Also, you could see the staff eating right on the floor. To me, thats just not professional. Especially since there was a kitchen door just feet away from the girl eating. Duck in there to eat. The food is what saves this from being a lower score. It was that good.

I like it here. The food is good. The staff is kind. The place is clean but feels like a 80s Dennys full of elderly, which is cool too. The only thing is the prices are really high and I have been charged over $100 for 3 people and one 4yr old child eating simple breakfast side orders. Parjing is lil rough too. My only advice is to offer "ORGANIC FOOD". Cancerous Meat and Pork products and Animal Bi-Products are in almost every combo meal on the menu so it has that old timer Western American feel which is vool but suoer outdated in a NW cultyre of educated eaters. I love pork and meat and animal fat and butter etc but we were in a time when we know better and a time whe restaurants can and do offer better. Hundreds of restaurants now offer organic and vegitarian options to the old alternative of unhealthy food. Just a suggestion but I love this place when I feel like some greasy frech toast and eggs with my sons chocolate and banana covered pancakes!!

We only came here because our regular breakfast spot was closed for renevations and this was the next closest place. Although we received a warm welcome when first walking in, we didnt hear anything else from the other staff for the rest of the visit other than the waiter asking if we were ready to order. Once we got our food he didnt check on us until long after we were done eating and searching for him to get the check, even though he checked the table next to us. The food was tastless, and I suspect it made me sick with severe stomach pain and diarrhea (I got the Denver omelet hash browns and English muffin with jam). When we paid our bill at the front desk the staff member didnt say one single word to us... weird. If there is a next time that our regular spot is closed we will make sure to avoid this place.

Its a nice little small town version of a Dennys. We like it quite a bit because it carries a buckwheat version of the pancakes and waffles, so we can go gluten free. The only thing I havent liked so far is the biscuits and gravy. I lived in the south for 20 years and know what biscuits and gravy should be like. This was some weird Pacific Northwest concoction attempting to be biscuits and gravy. Everything else we have had in our three or four trips there has been really good though. Service has been pretty good. Its probably a three star review except we really need that gluten free option, and my wife hates eggs, so buckwheat is important to us. One extra star for that.

I really dont understand how this place has such good reviews. Im convinced people in the Seattle area dont know what real, delicious food is. If you want to sit and try to eat here, you will have a hard time. Because all of the older people there cough really loudly the whole time youre trying to eat. Eggs were underdone, french toast was underdone and the hashbrowns were also underdone. Ive never had potatos that undercooked. Hash browns should be crisp. There was a hair in my partners food too. Could not even finish our food. Unfortunate for this place, because the staff was really nice. Will not be coming back here.

The only reason it got a3(2.5) is because the staff were friendly, attentive and our food came out in a timely manner. If you like bland food this is the place for you. Had i been blindfolded you could have told me it was any number of things and i would have believed you. I had the Cooks Special(half order bisquits & sausage gravy, eggs & hashbrowns) Half of it was left on the plate, no amount of pepper, salt, ketchup(and in a last ditch effort tobasco) could have saved it. My husbands "fresh" corned beef was the most flavorful thing between our two dishes. I will not/do not recommend this place to anyone.

Usually I Love this place. I enjoy the Swedes. Now that I order the Paul Revere, I request the bacon on the side for my dog and specify that it not touch the rest of the food. (Life long vegetarian). After the server brought the plate out with a to go box in hand and mentioned "I told him to put the bacon on the side" - I politely requested another side of eggs since the bacon was on top of the first round. (The eggs arrived looking sloppy and tasting like meat and a side of lacking service nor refills of water, juice, etc.) Hopefully a FLUKE Occurance. :-)

This place has got the best breakfast I have found and seems to be exclusively staffed by helpful friendly employees. I like my eggs a specific way that is apparently difficult to accomplish. I have been to 10+ breakfast places from Lynnwood to Seattle trying to find a place that can make them how I like, and had yet to find a single place that gets it right (although several got close). These guys have nailed it every time. 100 percent. And everything Ive tried is above average or great. Give them a shot, you will not be disappointed.
