Been here 3 times. Probably no more. I tried to give it a shot because its close to my house but two meals for two were 30+ dollars each and one bacon cheeseburger with fries and tip was over 15 dollars. Way too much for what youre getting. The poblano cheese sauce is runny and thin, the chili cheese fries are anything but chili cheese. Its just a gross bean chili and the liquid poblano sauce. On the nachos(which why you cant add a meat to it but you can to avocado toast is astounding) it basically soaks through the chips and before they even set it down the bottom chips are soggy and gross. The tacos of the day are generally undersized, uninspired and over priced. No ranch period for wings which were overcooked and under seasoned. Some people dont like bleu cheese. Underwhelming Mexican spins on classic American dishes(chicken fried chicken and "gravy"(poblano sauce) which is 12 dollars mind you) For what you pay I would say avoid this place. Go to kouzina down 11 mile for good value and good food or imperial in ferndale for good Mexican tacos. Hell, id even say get fast food instead of this place. I just got home with my bacon cheese burger and fries - the burger is slathered in some kind of spicy garlic condiment and the fries are disgusting and inedible. Cold, over cooked, over seasoned and just flat out bad. Losing a star because this place cant do anything well. For what you pay I would say avoid this place. Pros: food is ok Cons: over priced, just ok, mediocre portion size, poblano "sauce"

Food was good! Got a torta ahogada, beef a little salty for me (I dont eat a lot of salt), but great overall. I also got a chicken soup and it was delicious!!! Its reminded me of my grandma when I saw the "letters soup" inside of it!!! RECOMENDED! Comida muy rica!!! Comí una torta ahogada y estuvo bien, un poco salada para mi (casi no como sal), pero muy buena. También comi un caldo de pollo y me encanto el sabor y la "solita de letras" en ella, me recordó a mi abuelita. RECOMENDADO!

Great food! Strange service... I think it was obvious that we had never been here and were confused, but instead of filling us in and everyone laughing about it she stood at the cash register waiting for us to "get it". So I get up from my stool and walk over, since it seemed awkward to shout my order from two stools over, then I go sit back down. But again, I have failed the test! You also pay first. So she raises her voice so I can hear my total from two stools down and I embarrassedly scramble back over to the counter to pay. This was all so odd and unnecessary. I dont even like being served, I would have delighted in following this process to the letter, self serve places are great! But either I didnt read up thoroughly enough before choosing this restaurant (maybe everything is described in detail online) or its painfully obvious, everyone else gets it immediately, and Im slow...

Did my research, read reviews heard good things. So I finally went for it. The O.W.L. Concept seemed great the remodeling very dapper, layout not the best!. Now I consider myself a bit of a foodie. Ive traveled to other states to meet my cravings. So when I heard of the concept and seen the menu, I said to myself sold. But now that Ive sampled the fare, Absolutely disappointed. The flavors were there but the execution at best was flawed. Seems to be a disconnection between the menu and the skill level of the cooks. Someone has made great flavor combinations but the people that are given the responsibility to carry on this beautiful menu have failed. Im sure theyll be a success due to the fact that their patrons are tasteless drunks. This is a shame! True potential false delivery. Thanks hope this helps.

I had the Habanero Bacon and Cheese Egg Sandwich with a side of fries. My father had the chicken fried chicken and gravy meal. I placed the order and asked that the cheese sauce be placed on the side, upon completing the order I double checked that the cheese sauce was to be added on the side, and was told yes. Although the kitchen is 10 feet away, this was forgotten and the cheese sauce was added atop the chicken. Regardless, my father said his meal was good. Crispy and juicy chicken. Potatoes were crispy and buttery. My egg sandwich had a bit of runny-ness, and the bacon had a hint of spice- Id pass on it next time. The fries were lightly seasoned but not done enough for my tastes. Id give them another shot in the future.

Regardless of being Open 24/6 there should be a line out the door but if there is take your order to go. You wont be disappointed and you have my word on this. Habanero bacon and chicken fried chicken & gravy is a mouth watering dish that will tantalize your tastebuds. If you need to sober up, youll leave here with sobering smile as this Menu will get you back on your game before you get to your intended destination. Hands down a wonderful addition to metro Detroit indeed. If Kaitlin is working she will let you sample any of their unique specialty drinks and is well versed on their totally amazing menu! The choco flan for dessert a yummy final treat with their Mexican coffee to end the delightful evening.

O.W.L. is my new favorite spot. I went the first night at 2:30 in the morning. They welcomed us, explained the menu, and catered to our needs. Had the Habanero Bacon Egg sandwich and Fresh fries......delightful. Came back the next night at 12 a.m., same experience. Had the double layer nachos....amazing. The lemonade is on the light side, not very sugary or tart, but lightly balanced. Could probably use more sugar, I like to think Im about to contract diabetes when I drink lemonde. Good nonetheless. Not a place for a big group to sit down, bur 4 or 5 friends shouldnt be a problem. Ill be coming back often to try the entire menu.....

Owners, please put up a larger sign that says order before seating. Ive had nowhere to sit after ordering because people dont follow this. Ive seen you hand out menus to those who sit first and not tell them. Its frustrating. Either remove the policy or enforce it. I go here for breakfast every weekend. Its always good. Good nitro coffee. Awesome habanero bacon. Egg sandwiches are delicious. Huge grilled cinnamon rolls. Dont listen to the long review by Matt Sadach. He gave a Coney Island 4 stars after bashing them. Clearly he is the drunk, not the patrons of this place.

Small diner with big tastes. Owl has a great variety of breakfast and dinner options, and add ons just as memorable. I had their Chorizo Sausage and Cheese Sandwich. Bun was crispy, chorizo flavorful, and egg over hard. It was a great portion. Added a side of Fresh Fries and then an horchata. Finished it off with a cinnamon bun, which was like a delicious flaky pancake. Great price for the food, especially considering your other late night options. One suggestion is to add more sugar to the horchata. Thanks for the meal!

Dropped in early Saturday morning with a bartender friend after her shift. They welcomed my service dog without issue. (huge plus for myself) (do everyone a favor and dont bring your fake service dog we can tell its fake by its behavior) I am a pretty white bread guy and avoid new things but I was able to find a few things on the menu that were outstanding. Their burgers, and potatoes are my favorites and I do plan on going back now that I am aware they exist.
