If Jimmy Jacks were to cut their menu in half, they would be my favorite restaurant. Instead it’s a treasure hunt with every vist. Half the stuff is exceptionally awesome, half the stuff is exceptionally terrible. Unless you’re a regular, you never know what you are going to get. THINGS JIMMY JACKS ARE TERRIBLE AT: #1 CHEESE: My blue cheese burger lacked blue cheese. When I spoke to the waitress, she spoke to the cook, came back, and said they were out. Thanks for not telling me beforehand so I could have ordered something else! I was charged full price. My chef salad’s “cheddar” cheese was cut up off-brand Kraft singles. Same with the unidentifiable white cheese that tasted like baby throw up. #2 SALADS: The tomato in the chef’s salad is a quartered tomato, soft and granulated. The ham and turkey bits were inconsistently sized. It was obvious that the cook had to pick off the semi-passable leftover hunks of meat. The ham was PURPLE! and over salted so you hopefully don’t notice the old rot taste. The turkey is the fatty pieces with blood vessels all through it that you give your dog at Thanksgiving. I paid $9 for ranch and lettuce. A good chunk of the menu is sandwiches served with soup or chips. I’ve never ordered one but if they cant come up with decent salad meat, I doubt they are any good either. #3 ICED TEA: Tasted sour as if it was brewed last week. May have even been instant iced tea powder? Iced tea lovers know what I am talking about! #4 WAITRESSES: They come off as very cold and distant. If you smile and joke with them enough, they warm up and are very nice. It’s a classic case of “my job sucks and I am under paid and under appreciated. I try my hardest to keep the customers happy but how can I when we don’t even have the ingredients for all our menu” I don’t blame them as much as management. THINGS JIMMY JACKS DOES VERY VERY WELL: #1 HOMEMADE RANCH!: Best ranch I have ever had in my entire life, period. Not exaggerating. #2 HOMEMADE ICE CREAM: Again, it’s just amazing. Go try it. I haven’t had their pie but I bet it’s just as great. #3 BREAD: The garlic bread that came with the chefs salad was great! The bread that comes with the burger dip and au jus, also amazing! #4 CUSTOMERS: The customers are exceptionally nice. There are a lot of middle aged and elderly regulars who know what’s good on the menu and truly love Jimmy Jacks. They care for the waiting staff and are quick to befriend non-regulars and kids. I even had a sweet gentleman pay for my lunch with my daughter once. He left before I could even thank him. Lots of sweet, humble, selfless, pay-it-forward types. #5: BREAKFAST: Okay, I’ve never had their breakfast because I am not a breakfast person but EVERYONE orders their breakfast and I doubt they would if it wasn’t great! I never write reviews. I love food and I am not a picky eater, or an obnoxious customer who causes hell with complaints. The only reason why I am doing this is because Jimmy Jacks has SO MUCH potential. I guess I am hoping someone in management sees this and takes it to heart? If you just cut the menu and ensure all the ingredients are on hand, quality ingredients, Jimmy Jacks would be a hit! Youd make more money. Id be there every week! Just think about it!

Dont you hate when you go to a restraunt and the waitress asks "how would you like your steak?...but it doesnt really matter because it is always well done....(sigh) NOT HERE!!!! I Love this local Diner bar/ restraunt.they cook your steak exactly the way you want it everytime.Breakfasts meals are very inexspensive.They have live music and a busy bar on the weekends. The waitress staff has been her for years and are genuilly happy to serve you.In my opinion there is not enough family owned small town roadside diners anymore.they are replaced by corporate conglomerates,like red Robin and Applebees.....yuck!!

Give this one another try! Our food was nothing short of delicious. Hard to find in a group of six and all burgers. Especially when said group is FULL of picky eaters. Our service was great/ My coffee cup NEVER reached half-full as it was refilled practically as I was drinking it. The prices amazed me that this place can operate at such high standards at such low prices. I look forward to a return.

I adore this place, it has the best home made diner food around. You cant beat a great local cafe with Dennys or Sharis!! My favorite is the HUGE farmers omelette with the works + hash browns and an English muffin for $10!! The waitress Ive had every time Im there is very friendly and sweet.

Most of the food I have tryed is very good. Mostly home cooked style old timey diner. Prices are reasonable to low side. Cheap drinks are a plus. :) Staff is generally very pleasant and efficient. They are in serious need of Bar Rescue, Lol. Take it for what it is. Old skool. :)

There food is GREAT, the price is good for the size of portin that is sereved. The servers are nice, they get everything right, amd if not they will go bend over backwards to make you happy, so you come back time after time.

Great old fashion cafe food. Reasonable price. Early Bird special is the best.Bacon or sausage and eggs and pancakes for $5.99 strawberries and whipped cream$1.00 more. Delicious.

I have been to Jimmy Jacks two times this week for breakfast. I enjoy the omelets the best. Come in before 11:00 am and catch the early bird special. Been coming here for years.
