Service was prompt. The prawn fresh rolls were decent and served with both a peanut sauce as well as a tangy sauce. A few things keep me from rating this place above 3 stars, though. I ordered beef Pad Thai (spice level 5). Not much meat to speak of, and the noodles were different than any other Pad Thai I have had previously. Spice level was probably more of a 3. The crab fried rice also seemed a little light on the actual crab. I ordered it spice level 3 but detected no spice at all. That ended up being OK because the flavor was good, and the bites with the white onion were tasty. Finally, though, something that distracted from the dining experience was the two guys rolling open garbage cans in the front door and through the dining room to the kitchen. Not really sure what they are thinking with that maneuver. Had worse. Had better. All-in-all, not much likelihood of me returning.

I ordered the crab puffs, Panang chicken curry, wonton soup, and chicken fried rice. The curry sauce was tasty but had to be Spicer than I requested, because I asked for a 1 and got above a 2 (I normally order a 2 for lunch). The service was great to start, we were greetied and seated quickly we got water and ordered quickly, but after that no one checked on us. Then our food came out the server put the plate at the edge of the table and walked away, she didnt make eye contact or notice we needed more water. The place is nice, buy the food leaves much to be desired. So I will cross this place off on my lost of where to eat.

We have been coming here nearly every Friday for years. Food is excellent and pricing cant be beat. Only very occasionally is spice inconsistent or an item is missing from our order. If not sitting in then best check order before leaving. Otherwise very happy with our meals and service. Staff are always friendly and professional. We have recommended this restuarant to our friends and family. Who are now themselves regular customers.

Similan is a great Thai option in Issaquah. Their combo lunch offerings are good -- tasty, but not a lot of different options. What we have really liked is exploring the options at dinner, the duck curry, the mango salad, and other specials. Similan executes the curries and noodle dishes you expect to find at Thai restaurants well, but the specials and specialties of the house make this a place you want to come back to.

None of the server are really pleasant to talk to. And worst of all was when the manager argued for charging 15$ for green curry with avocado no meat whlie the price for same dish with shrimp was 15$. He literally said they are 2 ways of ordering the same dish ( greeen avocado curry with shrimp - shrimp and green curry with vegatable + avocado ) and on would be priced 15$ and other only 12$ . Morons.

Food was amazing. Best Thai in Issaquah. I recommend the phad kee mao with fried tofu. Also, the gyoza (not a typical thai item, but we were there with our kids) were easily the best Ive ever had. Yeah, I know, gyoza, but really they were mega yum! Service was just fine -- didnt miss anything and they were fast enough. We werent in a hurry, and the food warranted the less than zippy service.

Discovered the place thru google maps on the way back from the mountain and had lunch with a friend. We both had the green curry coconut prawns special with brown rice. It was delicious! I really enjoyed their tea set, which had an elegant and special touch when compared to the way tea is served at other places. Glad that I discovered the place and will certainly be a frequent guest.

Called in my order and made sure to confirm with them 3 times during my call that it would be ready in 15 mins or less because I was on break for lunch. They assured me 3 separate times that it would be ready. I got there on time and waited and waited it took them 25 mins. But of course they ran my card as soon as I got there so I ended up late back to work and didnt get to eat.

We normally go for take out here and the food is outstanding. The only problem is no matter which one of us places the order they mess it up. Something is missing, only one piece of prawn in a prawn dish, or peanut sauce missing from a dish that is bad without it. Its a shame the food is soo good, it was the only reason I gave an extra strike over my normal three strike rule.

I am a huge fan of the prawn pad thai! The only complaint I have is the inconsistency in the spice level. I generally ask for the spicy level to be at a 3 and Ive gotten it where its barely spicy or almost inedible because its too spicy (and I love hot and spicy a lot). Their spring rolls are fantastic as well as their crab rangoon puffs.

Service usually isnt top notch, if you sit alongside the hallway area, youre probably going to get drops of water on you time to time (dishwashing and fountain). Food usually makes up for it; fan of Pad Thai and Pineapple fried rice. Panang curry is a must-have here. They make things as spicy as possible if you ask.

One of our favorite places for thai in issaquah. Nice sit down atmosphere. Our pickup orders have been a bit inconsistent with regards to the quality of the pad see ew. Sometimes it is perfectly wok seared with great sauce, other times it is nearly flavorless noodles. But regardless, we keep going back.

They must have new management. Bowls are smaller. Serving sizes are smaller. We eat there very often. The Tom Ka was only about half the size it is normally. I had to send it back to the kitchen. All the regular staff were not there. Very disappointed. We used to like it there.

I have been going here for 3 years now. I use to think that they had the best Gluten Free Pad Thai. About 6 months ago, they must have had a cook change or change of management because now i get overcooked/burnt Pad Thai. Very disappointed in the progression of this restaurant :(

Pad See Ewwwww. Nasty. This place is going on my long list of restaurants to avoid on the Seattle Eastside. Our take out order was wrong and the three star spice on our order was beyond edible it was so hot. Also the chicken tastes like it was sitting out all day. My favorite.

Tom kah soup... Chicken was extremely hard , harder than beef. Absolutely flavorless chicken. Mushroom was not fully cooked. Phase Gra pao...Bell peppers, mushroom were not stir fried properly. Hard chicken pieces with underfried vegetables. Hardly ate the dishes.

Solid Thai restuarant. Ive been searching hi and lo for really good Tom Yum and Tom Kha and finally found it at Similan. Based on my order, the ingredients are very fresh and of good quality. Perhaps the best Thai food youre going to find on the Eastside.

Similan is the "sure thing" for me and my daughter. The food is always delicious, the spring rolls are light as a feather and the staff is helpful and friendly. The decor is upscale and interesting but the prices are reasonable. We love Similan!
