The management at Joy Luck just lost frequent customers for life. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed this restaurant and would go here pretty much every other week for the past few years. Today, however, when we called in our order, the phone line was down. It had also been down the last time I called a few days prior. My girlfriend decided to go to the restaurant and let them know that the phone line was down. She was also thinking about placing an order. When she got there, the staff was very friendly and offered her a substantial discount. This made her feel very happy and like the restaurant we have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at actually cared about the people who frequented it. Unfortunately, she was very mistaken. After the (nice) waitress rung up the tab with the discount, a different employee stormed by and publicly insulted the waitress for giving the discount. She then bombarded my girlfriend with odd statements, VOIDED THE ORDER, and gave her almost no discount at all. She was extremely rude to my girlfriend all to save around 5-6 dollars. When my girlfriend came home, she was extremely upset at how rude this behavior was. It was shocking to see from a restaurant we have enjoyed for so long and honestly, it was really disheartening. We will never be going back again and I will personally tell everyone I know who has been to the restaurant about this experience. Very unacceptable.

I was accidentally served another tables appetizer because a table had moved. I have been to this restaurant and had talked to the owner on one occasion so I thought I was being thanked for being a return customer as the server said, "this is for you," with as flourish. Then they realized their mistake and were affronted that I had touched the food. It was just a misunderstanding until the attitude of the server and the bartender turned it into an ordeal and kept rudely telling me and that "the owner said I had to pay for it." This was going to be my new favorite restaurant but after being berated and charged for things I didnt order, I will NEVER return.

Ive been to this location 6 times and have never had less than an A+ experience. Take the any negative review posted here with a grain of salt. They were most likely unhappy before they showed up to eat. Anyways, if you are tired of bland and boring food this is your new eatery. Leave the salt and pepper at home and be prepared for exciting and delicious food. For an appetizer I recommend the chicken lettuce wraps. They are fresh, delicious, and crunchy! For the main course I recommend ordering a few dishes and everybody shares. Order the pad Thai, farmers beef, and the honey walnut shrimp. You will not be disappointed!!

Where to start with this amazing place. Fun lively atmosphere, frendly staff and food to back up the whole thing. Never had duck before this, but I can tell you after eating it here I will have to add it to the list of many food I enjoy. The Beijing roast duck was juicy, flavorful and most of all the cripsyness of the skin will have your tastebuds screaming for more. This amazing duck is delivered on a soft, fluffy steamed bun and garnished with sprouts and hoisin sauce to round out the meal. This is a place I will be coming back to for sure.

A friend and I took a chance on this place for dinner one weekday night and it turned out to be quite a little gem. Emery was our server and he was very attentive and the food was excellent. A lot of Asian restaurants around here seem to be heavy handed on frying foods however none of the food here seemed oily and all the ingredients seemed to be of good quality. We stopped by the bar afterwards and Alvin is an awesome bartender; the Crazy Botanist was a superb drink. Well definitely be stopping by here again soon.

Joy Luck is a delightfully deliberate Asian gem. The converted old house makes a cozy but pleasant and lovely restaurant with a small bar in the front with limited seating but a nice outside seating area. Everything I have tried on the menu is excellent, and it is very vegetarian friendly. If you dont feel like pairing a traditional tea with your meal, ask the waiter what the bartenders shot and a beer of the day is!

Amazing, fresh food. The owner is very welcoming and makes you feel like your satisfaction is key. Also very personable with suggestions, I felt as if we were at an Italian grandmothers place and she was going to feed us. Over the top experience, will be back and suggesting Joy Luck to everyone.

The food was overpriced for what it was and tasted like any other chinese place. We asked to be moved because of a noisy 12 person table but they wouldnt move us. We also asked for soy sauce but the waitress never brought it. It took a long time to get the check too.

Excellent prices and portions. The flavors are spot on. This is one of the rare Chinese places that isnt greasy/heavy, even with fried items like the General Tsos or the spring rolls. If youre thinking about eating here, go ahead and do it. You wont regret it!

If youve never had Twainese food, its best described as savory Chinese. Many of the same dishes as Chinese but try the Twainese editions like the duck or Farmers beef. This definitely one of our favorite date night stops. Nice selection of drinks.

Then staff was attentive. It was not busy and we didnt have any kind of wait. We were underwhelmed with our food. It seems like they are shooting for a trendy twist on traditional recipes and not quite hitting the mark.

The food was authentic and clean. They offer a variety of Asian dishes including family recipes and their own, Americanized versions of traditional Chinese recipes. Very quaint, good atmosphere :)

I am a true foodie and I hate fast food. So therefor take out Chinese doesnt quite suit me at all. The Joy Luck is A1!!! And I consider it to be my go to restaurant for authentic Asian cuisine.

Went for a late night dinner. Our food was fantastic and fresh. The service was friendly and prompt. (Although, I didnt care for the fried rice that came my meal.) I would definitely return.

Our waiter was very friendly and upbeat. The Kung pao was tasty, but the carrots werent cooked all the way through. The tofu also seemed a bit tough. Everything else was delicious.

Not the easiest place to find but glad I did! Nice decor and amazing food and service! I had the Kung Pao chicken and Hot & Sour soup and both were outstanding.

Awesome food. Best Chinese food I ever had. They do not use msg or other chemicals, so you dont feel like you usually feel after eating Chinese food.

Great service. The food menu doesnt list out what some of the ingredients in dishes are. But, oh man, the Oriental Old Fashioned is AMAZING!
