Newly Opened Hyderabad House in Schaumburg - Here is my take from my recent visit - - Although my friend asked me to skip it but still want to try since its closest indian restaurant from my place - Had Vijayawada Spl Chicken Dum Biryani (i wanted to order Natukodi Biryani but due to its unavailability and based upon restaurant recommendation) with Extra Spice Level as I usually go with very Spicy Food but unfortunately it couldnt meet lowest level of spice - It was pretty much dry... possibly cooked alot (of times) Would say close to normal pulav - They mixed dried out rice with some appetizer chicken... not sure if thats why its called "Special" but I had Vijayawada Biryani at lot of places and dont think it matches those anywhere... - I dont think I can give another try for Biryanis Appetizers (that Ive tried) - I was keen to order Chicken Lollypop but again due to its unvailability, I had to go with the other options. Believe me, its during weekends where we had so many unavailable items from the menu (Give a pass since its newly opened) Curry Leaf Chicken (Chef Speciality) - - This was really good and tasty to keep up our evening with other depressing orders. 1 star for this review goes for this. Monagadu Kodi Vepudu (Chef Speciality) - - Curry Leaves all over the places - Crushed too much - Sprinkled spices which dint go well Mongadi Gobi Fry (Chef Speciality) - - Same as above... Curry leaves all over the places - Not fried well with the name - Dint cut it nicely.. Probably 1 gobi has been cut into very few large pieces Overall - not a good experience except 1 item ended up good out of 4 items

This is a new "Indian" restaurant in the Schaumburg area and the when we walked in, we had low expectations based on our experience with few other "Desi" (Indian) restaurants in the area.....wow we didnt realize we were in for in for a delightful surprize...:). First of all, the staff were super courteous and friendly, the ambience was very inviting and cozy. We started with the appetizers (we went for their lunch buffet) and were just blown away by the authenticity and scintillating flavors. And for the vegetarians out there....they have a real good spread to satisfy all your vegetarian taste palettes. The main course was something you would taste in some real high end indian restaurant back home....the gongura chicken curry, andhra mutton curry, chicken lasooni, curry leaf chicken, paneer makhani, tomato dal, sambar, rasam, andhra fish pulusu, authentic dum biryani etc were absolutely out of this world. My kids enjoyed all the food items equally...they have some real good chicken wings and less spicy options for kids. The friendly staff were just too courteous and their floor manager and the chef were absolutely great. The deserts were made to perfection....beetroot halwa, gulab jamun, double ka meetha...OMG.it was like a symphony of different flavors on the palatte. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants a true taste of Hyderabadi / Andhra cuisine. This is as authentic as it gets!!

I would rate a restaurant on the following points - Authenticity - Innovation - Presentation - Aroma - last but not least, element of surprise - something that is not easy to incorporate When you go to Hyderabad house , you cant help notice that all 4 points mentioned above are mingled so well in their culinary DNA . The food was authentically genuine Hyderabadi food , one you get when you visit Charminar and its nooks and corners where the traditions of Mughlai cuisine took its infant steps and grew up . The chefs at this location have added some subtle innovations in their cuisine that make it their own signature , for example when you eat the payasam and the almond halwa it sticks to your palate creating a dimension of texture that you will never find in the original recipe . It takes a lot of understanding on how to mingle the dimensions of texture and flavours into Indian cuisine that make it interesting for a native as well as an American palate , Aroma happens to be another dimension that was incorporated , you can experience it as soon as you open the doors of this amazing culinary centre . Kudos to the team running this restaurant , I think they love the food and their passion of good food makes them really suitable for a 5 star rating

As a college student, I have grown accustomed to mediocre, lazily cooked "Indian" food that consists of mostly pre-cooked, microwaved, watery dishes. The Indian food I had previously eaten in the Schaumburg area was always missing that je ne sais quoi that made Indian food especially delectable. After hearing about Hyderabad House based on a cousins recommendation, I decided to try it out despite having very poor preconceived notions of the taste of Indian food in the area. I must say that I am glad the restaurant did not meet my expectations, rather, it skyrocketed past them. The food prepared in the restaurant follows the "Andhra" style of Indian cuisine. Andhra style food is an authentic, indigenous style of Indian food that is packed with flavor and spice. The dishes prepared at this establishment had a perfect level of flavor and texture. The curry leaves chicken is a stand out dish that has a beautiful flavor and feel to the meat. The other vegetarian options are also very tasty with the panner curry being my personal favorite vegetarian dish. Overall, I would fully recommend visiting the establishment and trying out some of the wonderful offerings that they have

Here is my experience of my recent visit: Couple days back me and a group of 15 of my close friends went to this restaurant because we heard it was a very nice place. Oh... I thought it would just be a normal Indian restaurant like others, but "no" this place was as good as I heard it was. actually it was better. For Appetizers we ordered NNC chicken, chilli chicken, and rayalaseema kodi Vepududu. They all tasted amazing and thy all had there own set of unique flavors. For the main entree we had Goat Dum biryani, Paneer biryani, Chicken Dum biryani, Vijayawada Special Chicken Biriyani, Egg Fried Rice, and Gongura Chicken biryani. The biryanis were very colorful and were full of tasty spices. The desert was one of a kind. The sweet flavor really kicked in with the gulab jamun and the double ka meeta . All in all my visit to this restaurant was amazing and I think the food was very great too. I will definitely be looking to go back in the future.

Food is amazing. It is not that spicy as mentioned by others. Me & my wife had Buffet lunch. We enjoyed a lot having lunch here. Will mention here what is special here compare to other Indian Restaurant. 1) unlimited South Indian style Pomfret Fish fry. Even in India we dont have unlimited South Indian style fish fry 99.9% restaurants serve fish fry coated with heavy batter but here its totally different. It has only the masala which was mouth watering taste. 2) Fish curry was totally worth it. Eating with white rice is heaven. 3) Nilgiri Chicken curry was the best with biriyani. 4) Biriyani is in Hyderabadi style, there is no complaint. apart from these 3 items you have Loads of veggie and non veg dishes for veg & non veg lovers. Its totally worth it. For owner: Please dont stop serving fish fry and fish curry this is your main USP for fish lovers Also include Nilgiri chicken curry in your USP list.
