The owner of this place is a thug. He didnt like that I honked to stop a car that couldnt see me because the owners van was illegally parked and blocking the veiw of cars moving through the intersection. So the guy followed me to my next parking spot. He took down the information he needed to report what in his mind was unsafe driving to my company as I was in a work vehicle. He asked me whom to contact and I told him the number. then he parked his van so I couldnt move my vehicle. and just sat there for 15 minutes blocking me. When I was then leaveing the lot he used his van to cut me off. We were then stopped at a red light waiting to go straight through the intersection about the 6th and 7th cars back. There are about 25 cars waiting as its the Friday before Christmas the other side of the intersection is the nearby mall and its 5 pm. The cars in front of the owner proceed through the intersection but the Owner of Pac Island grill just sits there to prevent me and you if you were in one of the other 25 cars and busses he was holding up from making the light. Anyway the owner of this restaurant spent a good 30 min and drove a couple miles just trying to torment me like some thug. The food at the restaurant tastes like teriyaki that has had the sauce watered down. The area around the restaurant is teaming with transients. There isnt any security at the strip mall to keep them from urinating all over the walls and a walk around the restaurant will be mired in the smell of urine. Anyway theres are other Hawaiian restaurants nearby and you wont need to chance this type of horrifying experience.

Very close to having authentic Hawaiian fare, oh-heck let just say as far as Haoles are concerned, it is as authentic theyll ever get. Ive been coming here since they first opened and the real reason is the staff, followed by its good food. Bottom-line; Pac Island is one of my favorite Hawaiian restaurants in the region ... three others have just as good food, but they generally fall short on atmosphere and staff. Additionally, Ive hired, and have recommended, their catering services ... and theyve always exceeded my and my friends expectations. Again, the friendly service is the main reason.

This is a really great spot in an awkward location. When you go there you really might feel as if you have been swept away to Island Time. The owner is super nice and the background tropical island music really sets the theme. Colorful decorations and bamboo thatched ceiling tile sees the whole thing off. If youre really lucky you will arrive on one of the nights they have live music. Its really a family affair and an all around jovial time. Be cautious in the restrooms as they really could use a face lift. Otherwise its a little taste of Hawaii in Federal Way of all. Places. Mahalo.

Simply put the food is bad. I have been twice in the past 6 weeks and both times the food was bad. Which is unfortunate because this used to be one of my favorite places. There has been some change in the way the dishes are prepared. It is not the same as it used to be. Additionally today the staff were not friendly. Not rude but very dismissive. And two of them yelled at each other. The final straw was that they charged my credit card twice?! See attached photo. I will not return.

Ive been patronizing this establishment since shortly after they opened. This family owned and operated business serves up great food and obviously has fun doing it and they seem to truly appreciate and strive to develop lasting relationships with their customers. Friday evenings feature a live band playing music with an island flavor. Always friendly service, which is usually fast as well. This is by far the best Hawaiian BBQ restaurant in the area. They even have free WiFi!

I went to this restaurant earlier today with my Fiancé, and after seating ourselves it was 10 minutes before we were given menus. After another 15 minutes another couple walked in and sat down, and were given menus within 10 minutes and we had still not been talked to since the very rushed drop off of the menus. I have never had service this terrible before . I am admittedly a bit worried since this place will be catering my wedding in a couple weeks...

We liked the food here fine. Definitely a good place to get something different. Our biggest hangup was they looked to only have one person waiting all the tables on a Sunday afternoon, so service was *very* slow. Took us a while to get our food. We also had to just go up to the counter to pay after a long wait. If you want some Hawaiian food, its still worth stopping at, but just temper expectations.

Im not sure Ive been in a dirtier bathroom outside of a gas station. It really makes you wonder what the kitchen looks like. I did not enjoy my food and the fruit tea was basically sugar water. The waitress acted like we were interrupting her family time by arriving. The only reason Im giving it two stars is because my coworker really enjoyed his pork BBQ. I wouldnt come back here if you paid me.

Bad service, the waiter sat and talked with another group for 20 mins completely ignored my table and others. Didnt inform us he kitchen was closed, most restaurants do a last call on food before closing....or and when we paid for our bill the waiter took it upon herself to keep the change and got a 20% tip....not by our choice. We wont be going back, or and food was very bland ZERO flavor :/

OK, so we had them cater a surprise party and it was AWSOME! They were fabulous to work with, the food was wonderful, and they were even super nice about me not knowing what time they could start the setup until just hours before the event. I couldnt have asked for a better over-all experience. And did I mention the food??? Holy Smokes was it GOOD!

It was our very first time yesterday afternoon and the food was "ONO". I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. It reminds us of home, warmth and Aloha spirit. Their laulau and smoked kalua pork is absolutely tasty and dont forget the coconut prawns. Mahalo Nui Loa for the service!

Ive been going to this place since they opened. Best authentic Hawaiian food you can find south of Seattle. Mac salad is to die for! Hands down best Kalua pig! They recently raised their prices by a few dollars which astonished me. It went from a $18 meal for two up to almost $25.

Ive eaten here about half a dozen times and tried most of the menu. Everything is amazing. I lived in Samoa for two years, and this is where I go to feel like Im back in the islands. The atmosphere is fun and exotic, the owners are friendly and helpful, and the food is incredible.

Had their food at the Renton River Days community park event. Ordered the special plate for $9 and portions were tiny - felt cheated and $3 for ice tea that was watered down because it sat for hours. Chicken was flavorful but could have done much better! Didnt feel the Aloha!!
