Im a big bbq fan. I hate to be the one to give this place its first non-five star review but I must write without bias. The BBQ Schacht is tucked away in a very odd location - odds are unless you have business in the area you will never stumble upon this place. I happen to find it via yelp and went here because my original go to spot was closed on Tuesday. I will say this... the meats here are phenomenal. I realized in other reviews Ive used the term "cooked to perfection" a bit too loosely, because the Schacht has redefined "cooked to perfection" to me - as well as "fall of the bone." I had my order to go so I didnt get a chance to ask how he prepared his meats but I assure you Ill be back for me. I had the Schacht Attack which consisted of 3 choices of meat, two sides, two piece of corn bread and a soda. $25 The BBQ chicken was good. Extra tender and juicy "cooked to perfection" As I reached for the leg bone to break off from the thigh, the bone literally slipped right out as clean as could be. I was shocked. The skin was seasoned with a dry rub, great color and a hint of smoke flavor really pulled everything together. The BBQ brisket burger was okay to me. The meat seemed to have dried out a little, but good solid cuts and plenty to eat for two people. It required a bit of dunking in the extra BBQ sauce for me to get a nice full flavor to it. The BBQ ribs. on point. perfection. Im typically a wet rub kind of fan because I love juices flowing and sauce drippin off the edges of my lips. But this dry rub was awesome. Good hickory flavor all on its on. Meat so tender you could probably eat it even if you dont have teeth. Fall of the bone - cooked to perfection. The BBQ sauce itself - I prefer it have some heat to it, so I"ll have to try this place again to see if they have a spice version. I do believe there are hints of cinnamon in the sauce - it definitely was a different flavor but in no means a bad way. The sides I felt were too small. I get that the focal point is the BBQ itself but I"m a big fan of sides so when I get 1/2 a cup of sides it just doesnt do it for me. The tater salad wasnt anything to rave about - tasted a bit generic. Beans were generic as well. The cornbread was pretty good though - nice and moist and doesnt dry your mouth out when you eat it. Overall a great hidden gem for BBQ here in the NW. Id recommend the ribs for sure. And I"ll definitely be back to see if they have a spicier sauce to knock my socks off for that last star!

I have traveled the county sampling over 100 BBQ joints from Franklins in Austin to Grand Champion in ATL and Oklahoma Joes in KC. These are the top three in my book but after trying The Schacht I need to say its in my new top 4 for the best of the best. The ribs are so meaty it almost appears to be a GMO hog. The sauces so original and the sides to die for. The first time I thought it was just a fluke but I have been back four times, months apart, and its just incredible. Many times when I get the BBQ urge I wish I had an excuse to fly into SEA-TEC as this place would be my first and last stop in and out of town. Awesome job guys.

Fantastic! I have had bbq from all over the US, and this place is equal to the best Ive had anywhere else. My other favorite is Killians in Houston. I went there with a bunch of locals while on a work trip. This one was a quick lunch break between flights and I will definitely be going back any time I am at the Seatac airport. Its about a mile from the FBO at the south end of the airport between 34L and Center, so if youre a pilot or flight crew and like BBQ, this is the place to go.

The Brisket that Mike makes is what they call in the South "40 mile BBQ". I drive 40 miles to get this! I pass three other good BBQ shops on my way to get here. The chicken is not to be missed either. There is a reason he has won awards for his BBQ, and is only open 4 days a week. Truly a passion for the Art!

Never open.... Ive tried to come here multiple times. Each time they are closed for some special reason. Its hard to make it during the standard hours of 11-5 m-f. Ive done it 3 times each time they are closed. I give up, the food might be good I have no idea. Im done trying and wasting my time

Im from Texas and have eaten some amazing smoked meats. While Mike uses a variety of styles for his BBQ I am right at home in his tiny restaurant. Do yourself a favor and drive on over to see Mike and Jimmy... order a rack of ribs, a couple sides, and a grape soda. Worth the trip from anywhere.

Mike catered my 10 year reunion last weekend. The food was great, and the price point couldnt be beat! We got pulled pork, BBQ chicken, cole slaw and cornbread and it was all delicious. I would highly recommend him for any event!

Phenomenonal barbecue. The ribs are stoked daily, juicy and tender. Homemade sauce is delicious. If youre not feeling the ribs, their sandos are killer too. Try the Schacht Attack, you cant go wrong.

Great BBQ! Try the Schacht Sandwich; it is a great value for the money. I like trying smaller local restaurants because they often have the best food for the money. This one did not let me down!!

The Schacht is a big sammitch fulla meat! (As described by the guy here). Cool place, good vibe. Good value. I liked the brisket and hot link but i like my pulled pork more on the smoked side.

Some of the best bbq Ive had in washington. That being said, theyd get 5 stars from me if they cleaned up the place a little.
