Brileys has been opened a little over a year, and its taken me this long to get over the bad memory of the previous BBQ joint to occupy that spot. Fortunately, its a huge improvement. If youre eating in, its actually a very pleasant place. As you enter, you are faced with the order counter with a large, welll organized overhead menu board. After ordering, go down the hall to the dining room/tent. Its spacious, well equipped, and best of all has a beautiful view of Lake Washington. On this, our first visit, we tried the Pulled Chicken Sandwich and the Pit Beef Sandwich. The chicken was nice and moist. There was a good mix of dark meat to add flavor and moisture to the drier white meat. The Pit Beef were thin slices from an Eye of Round Roast that was smoked for that BBQ flavor. The slices were sautéed in a spicy (not too) sauce. The beef was a little too lean for my personal preference. The next time, Ill try the Chopped Brisket. They use mostly the point cut (burnt ends) of the smoked brisket, which is a lot fattier than the flat cut. The Potato Fries were delicious and they gave enough for three to share.

Omg, yum! And I am a food snob and a hard critic. We had their pulled chicken, brisket, mac n chs, and bacon. Their chicken and brisket, was very good. The sauces come on the Side, and those were very good as well. So GOOD! But, you didnt even need the sauces because the meat tasted so good. The sauce was an added bonus! The mac n chs looked mediocre, but it was a delicious side. I am craving it, right now. The bacon we got for free, was yummy but I wouldnt order it again. It was plain but great dipped in the bbq sauces. It was very thick, and yummy, but needed to be seasoned or candied. But you gotta try it, at least once. Its BACON! This place has a huge dinning room, in a fully covered tent, with picnic table seating. There is a fireplace and big screen tv. They have lots of beer, yummy food, and you can have all the sauces you want! The two owners are there cooking and are very friendly. They have truly made a bbq place that doesnt suck! Im so happy! I recommend this place for anyone! If you dont go, you are missing out.

Ok, so we saw really stellar reviews for this place and drove a good ways to try it. First off, the counter lady was incredibly impatient. Not only that but rude. She stood there starring at us obviously disapproving of how long it was taking us to decide. I told her that we were on a new diet and we were still figuring it out. She then berated us saying that she was sick of people and their diets. Also, she tried bargaining to let my girlfriend have something we couldnt and when I told her we were both on this diet, she said its alright, she breaks up marriages...ok, that was awful, but then over 40 bucks for 1 rack of ribs, 1 glass of wine, potato fries, and brussel sprouts. A bit high...but ohh man does the food look good. The fries were great. Sprouts good. Ribs were garbage, Im sorry. Ribs should have some bite, but these were so tough, Id compare the texture to undercooked ham. Never coming back!

Ive been eating there for quite sometime, at least once a month.. started out great, with Service and food, last couple of times I had to call there was hair in the good, and ate there recently and it seems its becoming hit and miss with the good. The ribs were great, not huge on brisket but sides were good. Here lately the food doesnt seem to have the same consistent vibe it had at first, theyve ran out of food on a few occasions and the meat just isnt Smokey consistently. Not impressed.. and there is better, just convenient for this area.

Yum Yum... I was craving some awesome BBQ and googled a few places in North Seattle. This jewel appeared in my search. There was some skepticism when viewing the 4.8 rating...but I was willing to try. The BBQ was on point, sides were great and the service was tight. I ordered the Pork ribs thus far and theyre awesome. Falls right off the bone and moist. The reason I didnt give this 5 stars is because I like a little more crisp and deep smoke flavor to my ribs...however this place is still worth the Rib-craving fix!

I avoided this place for a while even though I live across the street from it, thinking it mightve been large prices for small servings. I decided to bite the bullet today though and check it out. The serving size is definitely worth the cost as its enough to stuff me for the entire day and the food itself is amazing. I got a pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries and all of it was delicious. Ill definitely be going back every now and then and Id love to take my friend here to try their gluten free options.

Great baby back ribs. Very tender, moist, and flavorful. Just how I like them. Youd think that most bbq restaurants would make their baby back ribs like this but it hasnt been the case with the last 3 bbq restaurants I visited in surrounding areas (specifically, Gabriels Fire, Cask & Trotter, Moonshine; all offer only dry-rubbed meat). The beignets were just ok; more expensive and not as good as those at Diamond Knots. The brisket slices were thick, but were on the verge of being dry. Great service.

Solid BBQ for Seattle. The sides are all legit. My only feedback...They do NOT have sweet tea, which is a must for BBQ. And I would have non-sauced option for your meats. I just tried the smoked beef and its drenched in sauce...overall, it was good but I would like an option to sauce it myself. Seating is limited since it is bench seating on a deck that is covered. Not a great place for kids, but Ive made it work. They also have a solid beer selection.

Brileys, the re-opened version of Rainin Ribs - the ORIGINAL, Rainin Ribs with Skyler at the helm - is just as good as RR used to be. The BBQ is on-point, the sauces are just right, and the sides complement the food just as they should. Ive always been a fan of their sandwiches and Brunswick stew, but Ive never had a bad meal there no matter what Ive gotten. Fantastic local restaurant which really strives to make itself a community name.

Im from Houston, and I can say that Brileys knows how to do brisket and catfish!! Their hushpuppies and collard greens are awesome! To be honest, I dont like the sauce that they use for the pulled pork or the chopped brisket, but thats a personal preference. It would be nice to be able to pick your sauce, or no sauce for the pork and chopped brisket. They have a decent tap list too! Check this place out!

Finally, good brisket in Seattle! Ive been to the majority of bbq places in the area and these guys really stand out - you can tell they care about serving good bbq. Both the brisket and pulled pork were so good they didnt need sauce. The beans were excellent and they had a good selection of local brews on tap. Well be going back for sure - thank you guys for bringing good bbq to Seattle!!!
