Food was okay, but considering price and everything else, not worth it. Catered to people who dont like authentic Mexican food. Chips and "salsa" (basically just hot sauces) are automatically ordered for each party, yes ordered, not provided, albeit its only $2, but with no refills. Typical cantinas provide chips for free, with free refills, and with pico/salsa, not just hot sauces. Tacos are about $4-5 each, didnt try it myself, but at nearly $5 ea, didnt look that great. Carnitas was pretty good, but for around $25 which comes with only rice, beans, and a tortilla (no salsas or other condiments, or even garnishes for plating), the meat better be good. Amount of meat was about a big burritos worth, which is not much for the price. FYI the meat was on the sweeter side, in case thats not your thing, I personally prefer savory, but still thought it was pretty good. Honestly would never choose to eat here, so many better options for sit down Mexican, like pretty much any Mexican cantina; do I dare say it, yes I do — El Torito or Acapulco is more with it. TLDR, skip this place if you have a choice.

Good food but the service needs help. The waitress mixed up our plates and unfortunately we did not know until we had already bitten into the tacos. I dont eat beef and I received the beef taco in error. Instead of apologizing, she suggested that we just swap the tacos that wed both already bitten into. When we told her no, she then suggested that we should just be OK with the mistake and continue eating them. We had to tell her no and request the order be corrected. She still never apologized and just took the incorrect tacos away with the attitude that we were the problem, not her mistake. When we were done eating we requested to-go boxes. She said OK, she would get them. After waiting another 20 minutes and not receiving any boxes, we asked again and she said, oh...you want your food boxed up? Again, the food was good but there needs to be more training or monitoring of the service staff to ensure that they know how to provide the best customer service. This was my first visit and I am honestly debating on if I will give them another try.

Starting from the moment you walk in to this modern atmosphere, with its open layout, dim lighting and extended fireplace this place feels like no other corner Mexican restaurant. The food is such great Mexican cuisine from the Gorditas de Queso to the Mole Poblano and hand made tortillas. The Cafe de Olla and the Tres Leches Cake was to die for!! Dont be fooled by the fancy word "cuisine", as the servings are not what you would expect, as they serve you quite well and the taste! My goodness the taste! The food is esquiset.... As close as you can get to mamas home cooking, with a little zing. The service was on par for the amount of tables being attended (we were attended by Jacqueline, who is very attentive and knowledgeable on the menu) Jacqueline our waitress, was very nice and very helpful, our whole family was very pleased with her. To sum it up Frida Mexican Cuisine Restaurant is a great fine Mexican cuisine to enjoy and I would HIGHLY recommend this place ;)

Food is really good. A little expensive but its more upscale Mexican food and great atmosphere! Ive been 5 or 6 times now and Im becoming a regular. I dont drink that much at all but I love the blended mango margarita and I usually get one every time. Also the guacamole is excellent, my kids want it every time because they prepare it table side and ask what you want in it. Their salsa is really good too. The only thing that bugs me is the tortillas are really little and if you want more they charge extra. I ordered fajitas that were excellent but the corn tortillas were tiny and they only gave me three for all this food. The tortillas are excellent and home made. Ive been told several times dont get the seafood there. Several different waiters told me its gets sent back and they dont recommend it! Worth a try but not your typical Mexican food. If you keep that in mind you will not be disappointed.

Not your typical Mexican restaurant. Very high end nice place. No colorful colors, pictures and such. The host was sitting in the bar so, my husband and I stood for a few seconds wondering if we could sit ourselves. It was very slow since it was a Monday. The service seemed ok. Surprised we had to pay extra just for chips and salsa. Menu items over-priced. Soda $3.85, drinks $14, plates ranging from $14.95 and up. We werent really hungry so we just ordered the Frida platter, which was very good. The most annoying part was that we felt we were in a club with the English rapping music in the background.

Im giving 4 stars because the asada and chicken tacos were greasy and the flavor wasnt what I would expect from a Mexican restaurant. However, the mole, cochinita pibil, and carnitas tacos tasted great! I would definitely reorder those. I was pleasantly surprised by the aguachile ceviche. Not as spicy as it should be but the flavor was definitely there. I was disappointed with the guacamole. It literally tasted like avocado and tomato. I didnt taste any spice or salt whatsoever. They have great prices for happy hour. I will definitely come back to try more items on the regular menu.

Usually go on Saturdays... the service is GREAT! I have tried the drinks, tacos, posole, cafe de la olla & the tres leches dessert were Fantastic. Made up for the high end prices. HOWEVER, when I went on a Monday night after work with a coworker & was highly DISAPPOINTED! Service was slow, drinks were not as pleasurable, ordered 2 different types of ceviche, both not what we expected. Made with some type of soy sauce. Shrimp precooked. It was a total disappointment n bad 1st time experience for my friend since I hyped it up.... and it turned out a flop.

Came to this place because i love Frida Kahlo, so I wanted to see what it was about. The place is very modern and I loved that they played Rock en Español the whole time. Our waitress Emma was amazing, very polite and attentive. I was very surprised that the food was good. I was raised in México, so I often get disappointed with the so called "Mexican restaurants". I didnt mind the price, it wasnt outrageous considering the atmosphere and the area. Will definitely go back!

"Authentic Mexican Cuisine"???? EVERYTHING was bland. Chips and salsa cost $2 so I hope you didnt want any with your food. That is if the server ever comes back to take your order. If they do, order enough drinks for the whole meal, youre not gonna see them again. You know that "famous" guacamole? Well its $15, so just go buy an avocado, no seasoning needed it will taste the same. Riviera Mexican Grill is 15 minutes away, go there instead.

The decor was well thought out. Love how you can eat outside...... Inside. You have to dine there to understand. The service was excellent. However I wont be getting a regular enchilada plate it was just too pricey if Im going to pay those kind of prices I might as well get the salmon which was AMAZING my niece got it ,and she loved it.......... so did everybody else who picked off her plate. Well definitely be coming back
