The food is decent but the customer service is absolutely appalling. I ordered online on week day duribg bussiness hours and they took my order and my money, I waited for hours until I decided to call them. No answer. I call multiple times before I decide to drive my scooter to the restaurant to see why I havent gotten my food and no answer from there phone either. I get to the restaurant and now it is going on over 2 - 3 hours after my order. When I arrive the store is closed. But there is a guy standing in the restaurant and he refuses to acknowledge me. I got so upset I decided to call the police thinking I had been scammed. They told me to wait a day to see if the restaurant makes it right first. I waited a while, days, before they refunded my money, they didnt call me or offer me a free meal or even apologize for the inconvenience. I know this is a simple mistake that someone made by not turning off ordering on their website when they decided to be closed randomly, but the least they could do was apologize for the mistake. I will not be ordering from them ever again, and me and my girlfriend were eating there regularly for a while. Thanks for the terrible customer respect, Im sure you will go out of business once you keep driving away more good people. 1/10 customer service. Dont ignore a customer banging on the door who just gave you money and hasnt received his food.

This place has personality! Mr. Hunan sets itself apart from most of the glitzier, cookie cutter establishments that much of NOVA seems to thrive on. This mom and pop restaurant is quaint, quirky and downright delicious! I understand that for some people these smaller establishments dont really fit into their image, but it has been proven time and again that some of the best food is found in places that are not part of a chain. Sometimes you have to put aside a name, brand or the flash of a five star, recognized restaurant and step outside of your comfort zone to try something new. OK, so the decorations may not be the best. And just how does that impact the flavor and quality of the food? Service was fast and friendly, you do have to be a little patient and understanding - the accents might be a little difficult to understand. Also keep in mind that you are dealing with a different culture. You cant stuff everyone into a one-size-fits-all box, a little flexibility goes a long way. And it is well worth it. The portions are generous. The food is hot. The selection is very good. The service is fast. Final note: this place has been in business for many years. They must be doing something right! If you want a culinary adventure that takes you off the beaten path, check Mr.Hunans out!

When we called in our office order the man who answered the phone was extremely RUDE. Absolutely ZERO courtesy!! We felt rushed when ordering and when we asked what the delivery time looked like he refused to answer. We then asked again which he finally answered 45mins and then proceeded to hang up on us --- Luckily I was able to catch him before he hung up and told him he didnt ask us weather or not we wanted white rice/fried rice or egg roll/soda for our lunch special.After telling us "it comes with fried rice already" (which on the website it clearly reads that we would have a choice) he then hung up with extreme prejudice. After feeling we would have our food spat in due to this experience, we called back to cancel the order. The company I work for is based on great service and attitude, I wouldnt subjectivity my co-workers to such bad service!

I have never written a review in my life but this place needs to be shut down! I cant imagine what would happen to me if I ate the whole meal, but it was so disgusting I threw it away after eating less than a quarter of it, unfortunately for me even that was enough to get me sick, I am hoping that I did not get a hepatitis from this place even though I have the symptoms. even if you do not mind your food tasting like something taken out of a garbage bag and reheated, still do not eat here, they are so unsanitary who knows what kind of illness youll get from there. I have been vomiting for over 5 days since I ate there, I have also filed a report against them hopefully this sh&%$ hole will get shut down and the staff there will never have the right to work in a food industry ever! because they have literally poisoned me!

It was a late Sunday night. I wanted some Chinese food but didnt want to drive out to Panda Express. I got on their website and ordered some Orange Chicken and rice. An hour later and it still hadnt arrived, so I called them and they said it was on its way. 5 minutes later it arrives at my place (they are only 0.25 mile away from my house). The orange chicken flavoring was a bit more spicy than sweet. Something about the meat tasted and felt bland and just plain wrong. It was pretty disgusting. I remember this night because it was then that I decided to go vegan. Its been 2 years since then. I will always remember this place for turning me away from meat. Thank you Mr Hunan for being so gross. Response to owners response: Fortunately your food did not mess with my brain. I know where I ordered.

Ive ordered from here a couple time both delivery and pickup, the food is tasty, i would recommend the crispy beef and the pork wontons, but do not eat here if you dont like your food greasy. Part of what makes the food so tasty is the fact that its all coated in greasy deliciousness. The service is fine, the delivery took about 40 mins, which isnt bad for restaurant delivery, I think people these days are spoiled by Jimmy Johns delivery times (It takes thirty seconds to make a sandwich). Decor wasnt very impressive but this place is more of a pick-up/delivery type place and the staff was at least friendly. I will continue to eat here

Couldnt even finish the meal it was so terrible. Got the sesame chicken and it had very little flavor, was chewy, and was full of what Im pretty sure were the tendons. The side of fried rice was pretty much just rice, saw maybe three peas in the whole side and nothing else. There are much better options for Chinese food in Tempe and I think the number of negative reviews, and the 2.8 star rating as I wrote this review, speak to how Im not the only person to think the food was awful. Look elsewhere for lunch or dinner.

I used to go to this place about 2-3 times a week for Wor Wonton soup that Id pick up for my co-workers and I. The last time I was there about 2 weeks ago I found a metal shaving in my soup. After calling and asking to speak to the manager who apparently is never there though I see him sitting there all the time they said he would call me back. He never called me that night or the next day, they disregarded the fact that I had metal in my soup and clearly dont care about their service or the quality of their food.
