What the Wayland team is doing in this city is needed: providing quality, interesting menus for reasonable prices and pairing them with tasteful decor and damn good drinks. The cold brew here at Wild Son is something special, and the Pernil Romero sandwich is very good (though could be improved with some sauteed onions IMO). Add in friendly service and good tunes and this is a great overall addition to Meatpacking, which is otherwise filled with overpriced options. This spot is adding dinner service shortly and I will be back to try it.

A bit on the fence on this one. Food was good - buckwheat pancakes were very good. The vibe was very West Village relaxed, even though it is in the Meatpacking district. The negative was that the service was not good. They forgot to enter our order and we sat at the bar so you would assume someone would notice. When we reminded them, then they entered the order and the food came right out. We had to wave bartenders down for stuff even though we were at the bar.

Got here at 10:30 on a Sunday and scooped up two seats at the bar before it got super busy. Good coffee, pancakes, and very fluffy scrambled eggs, with homemade hot sauce, if you are so inclined. Cocktail list was intriguing but our livers were still recovering from the day/night before. Cornmeal waffles are tasty and filling. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Wow! Blown away by the entire experience and cant wait to be back. The food was off the hook tasty. Service was good. Prices were excellent. Overall the definition of a 5 star experience and I cant wait to come back. Only negative would be - the space is small and you definitely hear your neighbors conversations - not good for groups in my opinion.

Went for breakfast and sat at the bar. Ambience is great and Jeff who was working behind the bar was great. We had the buckwheat pancakes which were pretty darn good considering they are gluten free and then some eggs on the side which were delish. Also had some coffee which was unusually flavorful and the green juice which was gingery and vibrant.

The Wild Son is a refreshing addition to the Highline. The food was semi-healthy but it has a lot of flavors and keeps you coming back for more! I ordered the green tartine which was their version of the avocado toast. And since its an extension from the Wayland, their cocktails are also great! I definitely recommend this spot when in NYC!

Amazing food and great atmosphere make The Wild Son one of my favorite places in NYC. Service is super friendly, and the bartenders make you feel truly welcome. The Raw Walnut Pate and the Braised Lamb Breast are my top picks, but the whole menu is delicious. And the oysters, dont forget the oysters!

I ordered Buttermilk Pancakes with warm honey butter and fresh berries. They were delicious and filling. Its a place definitely worth going back to. Next time Id order the Good Morning Sunshine sandwich which has egg, pulled braised bacon, avocado, tomato, and rosemary aioli.

Perfect for brunch. I loved the experience: style, food, staff, music. I enjoyed talking to the friendly personal. The place is rather small so avoid groups.

Our favorite brunch with West Village vibes but situated in the heart of Meatpacking. Healthy drinks, awesome kombochu and the egg sandwich is worth the $10

"Wild Son" is an apt name, because the diarrhea my partner and I got from this place was WILD, son! That said, the foods pretty good. Would still recommend.

Next to Brass monkey is this nice walk up restaurant. The food here is phenomenal. The drink selection could be bigger, but a decent stop for the area.

The service was not the most amazing thing ever, but it was fine...the food was yummy and (for NY) the prices were great! I will definitely return!

Different inventive fresh food. Small but cozy space. Kinda behind the Whitney. Great hip but uncrowded spot for a bite. Enjoy!
