I try not to be mean when reviewing a place that I dislike. Everyone raves about this place and I am not really sure why. Maybe they just like spicy food. Ive noticed that no matter what I seem to order, my food is always spicy. I personally cant handle any level of spiciness, I am very sensitive to it. Which is fine, everyone has their personal taste preferences but I would really prefer that the menu reflect the level of spiciness in their food on the menu or offer the option to get the tacos or other items without whatever ingredients they use to make them spicy. (Or maybe even like some sort of spicy rating to make customers aware of the level of heat). My most recent meal there was the sesame ribeye rice bowl, which in my opinion, should not be spicy but it definitely was. I understand that this is a taste preference but if most of the menu or the tacos have spicy ingredients, it would be helpful to know on the menu which ones to stay away from. I remember asking one of the previous times I went, and told them that I was really sensitive to spicy things and they told me what to order and there was only 1 taco out of 3 or 4 that I could handle. Some would say just dont come here if you dont like it, and I would agree with you but most times I have been to this restaurant it would not my decision. I am just trying to offer constructive feedback to help the restaurant cater to all taste preferences.

Recently ate at Westport location of Bar Taco. What a great first impression. Food was excellent , service great and received a table side visit from Michael V. to make sure we enjoyed our dining experience. He was very personable and professional and made a good dining experience even better. Based on all this you can be sure I will be back again very soon !

I love Bartaco no matter which location I go to service is great food is great environment is inviting what else can you ask for only thing I wish they had more than tacos like burritos and such but the deserts are also great only place I do consider over this sometimes is Bodega in Fairfield they deff give them a run For Thier money.

Tacos are simple but delicious, reasonably priced, and come in a variety of interesting fillings. The dining room has a nice atmosphere and the outdoor seating has been great during the summer months. You can get better cocktails elsewhere and when theyre busy (evenings & weekends) the service can get disorganized and feel slow.

Went there when it first opened, and had an issue with the bill that I only realized after I had left the restaurant. Called the restaurant and had absolutely incredible customer service where they took care of the bill completely! Not to mention the food is so good, been back multiple times and will continue to do so.

Great place on the water. Nice selection of tacos, drinks and deserts. Great outside patio, but beware...the stools outside are very very low to the ground. Im 62" and didnt realize how low the seat actually was and lost my balance and fell directly ontop of the table behind me! Be careful!

The venue looks really nice (you can take your date) and the location is equally pleasant. The clientele also looks fancy. It took some time for getting a table (15-20min) but we could enjoy some ok drink at the bar. The food was nice and the portion abundant, I will go back to this place.

This place is a gold mine. I absolutely love the concept of small, cheap, but delicious choices. The loaded corn was one of the best Ive had. Beware the locals definitely know this place is something special so if your going during peak dinner hours you will probably wait at least an hour.

Food was wonderful and really had a live atmosphere with a lot of traffic. Waiting time could be a bit long if you have a big party and make sure they dont sit you directly behind the bank if you have a big party its going to be cramp. Besides that enjoy the food and the service.

Great food, great service and great ambience!!! Food came out fast, was tasty and follow up with waiter and manager was on point! I highly recommend the ribeye, duck, fried oyster, shrimp and chicken tacos! Corn on the cob was also the bomb!!! I wish they had a Bartaco in Nj!!

The order system is one of a kind, simple yet very effective! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and the restaurant environment is relaxing. They have a patio outside by the river and the scenery is lovely both night and day! I definitely recommend this place!

Fresh made traditional margaritas from scratch are worth the price of admission alone (there is no admission fee) and the tacos choices are numerous and delectable. The oyster taco (yes oyster) is to die for and is a must have...place is packed all days and times.

The food is delicious!!! The interior design is beautiful. Everything was perfect. It was my first time there and after I paid they gave my boyfriend and I two free taco coupons for our next visit! Definitely will be back soon!

Service is a little slow but friendly. if you are not in a rush you will enjoy awesome flavorful food! My daughter ordered the lemonade and got about 4oz - the cup was small and filled with ice - she was very disappointed!

Family style ordering was a little strange, we were a large group and had a lot of trouble figuring out which taco was what. Really great pork belly taco, you can get it as a lettuce wrap too. Drinks were good!

Great tocos. All made with fresh ingredients and delicious. They are small though so make sure to order enough. Outside deck right next to the water in the nice weather. They get really busy at times.

Love this place and the different taco choices. The wait can be long so call ahead. My favorite is the lobster and fish. I did not like the shrimp taco since it has a weird sauce. Will go back soon.

Great foods but manager is not paying attention to his staff. When we were there some of the wait staff was petting a dog. Looks like these people never taken a sanitation training.
