ate there tonight, 12/27/14, and we had a good time. the service and staff were quality, and the food came out fast (like less than 10 mins). The food was good, with a few shortcomings. i had the burritos verdes, and the chicken and salsa verde were amazing. I think it was just the tortilla that couldve been better. Wife had the taquitos plate with a tamale on the side, and while the taquitos were good, we both thought the sauce for the tamale fell short and could be improved. Overall though the food was excellent, even the rice (you can definitely taste a difference in their cooked rice vs some store bought rice you might have had at other places). Good prices and good food, I would definitely recommend this place as a whole.

Pretty standard fare Mexican food, although its not all precisely what youre used to seeing. They definitely have the usual options, but most recently I had the carnitas tacos, a slightly higher end option (evidenced by the fact that the portion sizes were smaller and it was served on a wooden block), and I was honestly impressed. It was definitely superior to the usual rice, beans, taco, enchiladas combo (not that theres anything wrong with the more expected American Mexican fare). Its quick, affordable, and satisfying with attentive service and a gem here and there on the menu. You may not be amazed, but its a dependable lunch spot, especially for the money.

Honestly, the serivce isnt up to par. But the frozen margaritas are good. My last visit I sat at the bar, and there was no other customers around, just me and the bartender. Unfortunately he didnt even acknowledge I sat down at the bar. Minutes later, another server joined us in the bar area and the two of emgage in a lenghty convo, in front of me. Did i say neither one acknowledged me...Finally I was greeted with a nonchelant "hola" I was going to get dinner, but I was so turned off with the service I opted just for a margarita and took my business elsewhere....

This is a fine spot to go for a fix of generic, Americanized Mexican food. The bathrooms are kinda gross and covered with graffiti. Also, at my last visit, they forgot part of my childs order. That being said, what was served tasted fine. Probably the best thing going about this place is its location. There are only two spots I can think of in the city to get predictable Mexican food: this spot and another in Shockhoe bottom.

My girlfriend and I are from Texas and we would be missing a part of our souls if we could not turn to Little Mexico for THE BEST authentic mexican food in the REGION. We tried every mexican food restaurant we came across for the first 2 years we have lived here and none of them come close; and it's just down the street in the FAN! Try the Pollo con Chorizo - my absolute favorite!

Went on a on a Thursday night. Complimentary dip was spicy and not watered down. Food and drinks were served faster than I have ever experienced. The food was great, it came out hot got a combo #12 and veggie 1. Two bottle beers. total was $26. plus a $5 tip. THE BEST PART... it was VERY CLEAN which to me seems hard to find in Richmond. I would go back.

Not the best mexican food out there, but its GREAT for the price, especially on Wednesdays because they have $1.50 enchiladas on Wednesday. I highly recommend the Fajitas as well, but stay AWAY from the tacos, went on a date there one time on $1.50 taco night (monday) and was highly disappointed. Overall: Good food for a Great price.

Eh - cute, clean and fast does not good a good restaurant make. The chicken chimis were hot and tasty; the rice was steamy but without flavor and the beans were just okay. The server was pleasant but forgot our queso - after getting it we wished we hadnt reminded her because it tasted terrible.

It was a good experience overall. They had a wide selection of authentic mexican (and some non authentic like nachos which were good). Ordered the combo burrito platter which is one beef and one chicken burrito, beef was better. Service was great, salsa and chips were some of the best...

Stood at front counter and was ignored for 5 minutes until I seated myself. Finally a server approached and asked about drinks. Upon returning with drinks asked what wed like to order without even giving us menus. At that point I walked out. No money from me for such crappy service.

This reminds me of some of the Mexican restaurants I went to growing up. The food is very good, and what you would have expected from a Mexican restaurant about ten years ago (before a lot of places changed their menus to be more authentic). Try the pollo asado.

If you are looking for an authentic Mexican cuisine, Little Mexico is the best in town. They have a great selection of Mexican food from fajitas to margaritas and are very affordable too. This is surely the best place to hang out with your friends!

It was my first time here in Little Mexico and all I can say is "Wow!" Their enchiladas and fajitas are the best and the tastiest compared to the others that Ive been through before. Little Mexico surely gives out the true flavors of Mexico!

Drove a hour to this place. Had a bunch of college students no parking lot for trucks. Compact car only. Small building and very crowded. We left and went to Powhatam and had Chinese instead. They need to mention the parking in the reviews.

One of our favorite places to go back when we first moved to Richmond. Decent food and selection, reasonably priced. The margaritas are decent as well, and they do have specials on them. The big one is larger than you expect.

We constantly hang out there on Friday evenings and sometimes during lunch here at Little Mexico. They have big servings and offer a wide variety of Mexican drinks. Its a place where you get good value for your money!

The most average Mexican restaurant you can think of. Deals on enchiladas? Sure. Margaritas in big glasses? Yup. Not super authentic, but its a good deal on the food. Satisfying, but you wont recommend it to anyone.

Clean, quiet atmosphere for a Friday Afternoon. I wanted authentic Mexican food. This was more like franchised pre-made or frozen. I asked if the tamale was frozen she said no but it doesnt taste fresh to me.
