If I could come up with one word for this restaurant, it would be, absurd. The food itself is average and the prices are ridiculous for absolutely minuscule portions. And unbelievably, rice doesnt come with the meal! Yes, you heard that right, the rice costs extra! And one side of rice is barely enough for two people. Thats kinda like going to McDonalds, them selling you the Big Mac, and then telling you that the bun costs extra. Between 4 grown ups, we ordered 4 dishes and two apps. Our bill came to $90. We ran out of food very quickly; it got so bad during the meal that I ended up making a meal out of the yogurt sauce and some of the veggie garnish. After the meal, I was still starving and had to stop by McDonalds for a cheap second dinner. I come from a South East Asian family, so I make curry to eat in our house. I know the amount of curry that can be made and to see the lack of food provided was absolutely shocking. If you feel like spending LOTS OF MONEY for nothing, then this is the restaurant for you. Otherwise, try somewhere else.

This has to be one of the best restaurants in DC metro for Indian food! It is definitely our favorite for us :) The food is quite authentic and dishes represent variety of India tastes to satisfy various Indian cuisines. Among our favorites is the Goan Fish Curry - perfect curry and the fish is cooked just right too. We also like the Roghan Josh (lamb) and chicken biryani. The Spinach fritters are a good option for appetizers too! The prices are bit on the higher side - which is the case with most Indian restaurants (dont know why). But the portions are big enough to share and we were stuffed with sharing 1 appetizer and 2 main courses among 3 (well eating) adults. Service is good too and that makes the experience even better :)

Crap! Crap! Crap! Made reservations and my kid gets sick..even while dealing with that I called to cancel and the lady hangs up on me saying that they arrange for shifts of workers accordingly. I should have called way in advance and hangs up. I called back to say that my child was sick and you should be courteous that I at least called back. This time around the man says we dont need your reservation we are very busy...then why the hell so crappy about a cancellation?? If you cannot handle cancellation that too on a Saturday night why take any? If customer service over the phone is such one can imagine how it would be once dining inside.

I loved the food. The quality is definitely one of the best that ive had in that states since the exceptional quality i had experienced while vacationing in Dubai last year. My only problem would be the price of the food. It was a bit high and rice did not come with the meals, both the rice and naan were bought separately. My other criticism is the staff. Our waiter didnt speak that great of English. But overall me and my party enjoyed the food greatly and we agreed we would be back for more.

Good food, not anything crazy about the taste. Definitely over priced. The portions are very small, quite frankly they are "cheap" with their portions. If you are an Indian or Pakistani visiting the restaurant, you will feel frustrated since they charge for everything that is usually included in ALL indian restaurants. The ambiance is good, but still not worth the amount they charge. It seems to be more for "not desi" crowd since they dont know the difference. I will probably not visit again.

Its been a struggle to find a decent (and decently rated) place for Indian food around Glover Park, but this place was a very pleasant surprise. The hidden location two floors above Kavanaughs pizza pub makes it hard to find, but between the balanced curry meal and the tandoor chicken with lots of rice and garlic naan my friend and I were pretty impressed, definitely full and had leftovers. It was rather expensive, and definitely make a reservation, but definitely try this place!

Excellent food and Service! Highly recommended! My recent visit to Heritage India at their new location at 3228 Macomb Streeet NW. Was excellent and quite enjoyable. I had invited my friends for Indian dinner at this place. They were so delighted and happy with dinner, drinks, and great service at this place. From Now on, this is my place for Indian Meals! I appreciate Great service of their staff. I will highly recommend this place to everyone! Thanks Heritage India! Jasbir!

Very odd service! This restaurant does not take reservations, so when I arrived to meet my friends on a Saturday night I was told there was "a 45 minute wait" They had arrived a few minutes earlier and had been told there was "a few minutes wait." We waited, looking at the empty tables, and were eventually seated. The meal was fine. The bill came to $121. We gave a $20 tip (admittedly, not particularly generous) and the waiter came back and asked us for another $3!!

They asked if I wanted bread, I said yes and THEY CHARGED EXTRA FOR IT. The cafeteria-style Indian places dont charge for bread and they charge a fraction of the price. I ordered the lamb vindaloo and it was so spicy I could barely eat it. When I complained I was told thats what Indian food tastes like and I just wasnt used to it. I went there because it was my birthday and I wanted to try something new. Save your money and go somewhere cheaper.

We ordered for masala dosa..but it was very dark brown in colour..so i suppose owner of the restaurant was one who was serving us.ahe was very rude.she changed our dosa & when i said thanks she dint even smiled at us. very arrogant and lots of attitude. overall will rate this restaurant 3. But they al should learn courtesy behave with the cocustomers.

Been to this Restaurant in Washington DC, Pennsylvania Ave NW and 19th St, Food was good Ordered Malai Kofta and Dal Makhani, Naan was good, but the portion of rice or Pilaf was very minimal and they charged more for the extra order of Rice which is again a ridiculous amount even for a small portion of the rice $2.50, and the management wouldnt even consider to listen. Very Very Poor service

This is quite possibly one of the best Indian restaurants Ive experienced in the DC area. The aloo tikka chaat was an excellent starter, and the chicken sag marsala curry was the most noteworthy entrees we had. I loved that all the vegetarian dishes were available as sides. The service was decent as well. Ill definitely go back.

Never order online or over the phone _ not only does there system not worked they lied to us for 90 minutes telling us the order was on the way. When confronted they never apologized or even expressed any concern for having deceived us. One of the worst customer experiences we have ever had - dishonest and bad a tough combination.

Concur with Maureen the gin martini was very weak. Then when they asked me about water, I said "sparkling" and they brought a magnum of Pellegrino for one person and charged me $8. The Thai food part of the restaurant does not replace the former Busara in the neighborhood.
