We began our evening with Guacamole and chips. I was happy to dig in because I arrived hungry. The guacamole had large chunks of avocado, but the onion and jalapeño were diced quite small. They provided the perfect bursts of flavor in each bite without being overwhelming. I ordered the burger (not veggie, beef for me!) and my dad ordered a salad. We love to get different items and then share so we can try more. The servings were generous - the perfect size for me! The salad was absolutely loaded with seasoned chicken, goat cheese, avocado, tomato, dates and almonds. And the bed of greens were fresh and provided a great crunch! It was fun to have a salad with dates as I dont see that on many menus. And it was so good!! And the burger was even better! Dont be fooled by the simple toppings. This was one of the better burgers Ive had in quite a while for two reasons - the patty was juicy and it was so well seasoned! It was absolutely bursting with flavor! I feel that so many places rely on their toppings, so the beef patty is flavorless. But this beef patty here spoke for itself! Its amazing how clean and open the kitchen is. You can see into the kitchen from the windows. It was also great to learn that the only things they dont make themselves are the hamburger buns and the tortillas for the burritos. But they make their salad dressings, pizza crusts, baked goods and the rest of the menu themselves every day. Also, sourcing the ingredients is very important to them. If its not local, its organic. And if its not organic, its the most tip of the line they can find. Considering the affordable menu prices, thats amazing and definitely makes me want to return. On our way back to our tables, we stopped at the counter to gawk at the beautiful and enormous cookies. Again, dad and I shared. He got double chocolate chip and I got regular chocolate chip. But there were also oatmeal raisin and peanut butter! Im so grateful to have Northstar here in Cincinnati. And this location will be the perfect pit stop on our frequent drives to and from Dayton.

Two stars just because the food was average at best. Cafeteria level of service, you are pretty much on your own once you place your order at the counter when you walk in.Very limited menu or so called dinner menu. We saw the wait staff at our table when the appetizer that would barely feed 1 was delivered and again when our meals arrived. No follow up was granted. The 6:30pm crowd or lack there of found the place less than 20% of capacity yet it took 20+ minutes for an order for 4 that consisted of 1 Burrito and 3 hamburgers. I have eaten in better places and paid less and eaten in worse and paid more. Great location and atmosphere. Lots of activity just outside for the Thursday evening concert series yet this place was noticeably less than busy. If you like serving yourself for drink refills and are OK with the same level of service you might expect at a Five Guys or BW3s and dont mind paying $65 for the above mentioned lunch style food then this is the place for you.

This restaurant never disappoints. Sometimes catching a server is a bit slow, but when you get their attention, they are always ready to help. The food is always flavorful, cooked just right (not overdone or underdone), and at the right temperature. The menu has a variety of foods to choose from, so you can always find something to meet everyones needs. My favorite is definitely the sweet basil burrito, but I have tried the pad thai (excellent), the pizzas (all four are delicious), and the Northstar burger (very good). You absolutely MUST try the Shooting Star drink; its a deliciously refreshing drink!

Today I was blown away by the staff and service that was shown. While I was deep in great conversation, the manager made it known we had been waiting too long for our food. We were in no hurry so it didnt bother us at all, you guys were slammed! He then came back and handed us vouchers for our next meal for free. Wait it gets better, the food was amazing and we were completely satisfied. However, Caleb then came out and refunded our money for the long wait. You guys went above and beyond with the customer service. Im grateful and I want you to know I will be back. Thank you so much! We will be back!

The food is good, My family came here for my birthday. Almost everyone was impressed with the look of food, the taste not so much. 4 things we all complained about is that the burgers were not well done, The fries seemed over salted, The pizza was just okay, and The service needs improvement. We felts a bit rush trying to eat our food the ( im assuming) manager kept trying to come take our plates and would not say excuse me. Overall its not a bad place to eat at for a quick meal, but they really need to improve the eat in experience. It felt like going to a vegan mcdonalds.

The food and environment were great. At a busy lunchtime they were anxious to take our plates and almost took food we were still eating twice. Some of the food was overpriced in my opinion, $14 for a beet salad seems a bit ridiculous, which with a fairly limited menu (especially for meat eaters) were the main reasons I took a star. We had the cheeseburger and chicken sandwich, both were excellent, chicken was the star, great combination of flavors with a little kick too. We will likely be back but will hope for a few plates in the future that arent $15 for a decent lunch.

My wife and I tried the new Northstar Grill in Liberty Center and were surprised that the items we ordered were very highly salted. The sweet potato fries that accompanied our over salted cheesburgers were just too salty to enjoy. We also had pimento dip which was excellent however the chips that came with them were also over the top salty. The restaurant is advertised as organic and healthy, however food that is high in sodium is not. We will give your (overpriced) restaurant another visit but will not be ordering cheesburgers!

The three things I look for in a restaurant I will frequent: 1- Great food/variety 2- Neat atmosphere 3- Service where they show that they care about you. After my 3rd visit to them the people at the front desk knew what I ordered last time and asked my name and treated me like family. The Cheeseburger is amazing...the Poached Eggs and Prosciutto for breakfast is awesome and when you walk in the place the decor/feel is cozy and fresh. One of my fav places on the north side of town to eat. A+++

Excellent food, drinks, service and ambiance! Its sort of counter service but food and drinks are brought to your table after you order and pay at the front. I had the delicious Northstar veggie burger and fries. I also had the classic daiquiri, which was excellent. Service was friendly throughout and fairly quick. Theres a nice laid back vibe with great weather, all the windows open, good music in the background and everyone having a great time. Definitely enjoyed my meal and will be back!

A flavorful alternative to typically less-healthy restaurant options. There are vegetarian and vegan-friendly items available and also options for those that want meat. The burgers are a solid option for those that just want something familiar (mine was a little bit saltier than normal this last time, but was still a good burger), but there are plenty of more adventurous options, as well. I was told I had to try their ginger beer while I was there and I would also recommend it.
