I went over to the silver diner the other day while I was attending some training in the area. The place looks really cool from the outside and inside as well. Overall, the aesthetics were good - it was nice and clean. I decided to sit up at the counter since I was there by myself. I sat down and was greeted by my server. She got my drink and let me browse the menu. I decided on a turkey burger with fries. I sat there sipping on my soda for quite some time before I finally got my burger. They were pretty busy though, so I wasnt too worried about it. The burger was, well, meh. It was okay. Nothing special. The fries were even more underwhelming. They rivaled a good batch from a normal fast food restaurant. So, okay, the food was underwhelming -- I decided that at least I would try a root beer float because they cant screw that up -- and, thankfully, they didnt. It was pretty good. I was done eating at that point - nearly 1 hour after I got there. My bill ended up being about $16. That meal wasnt worth it, thats for sure. Personally, it was just so-so for me. I probably wont be going back, since theres alot of other food joints around this area.

My wife and I visited your Tysons Corner Restaurant with the intention of having a nice lunch/dinner after shopping. We sat in the booth for approximately 20 minutes without a single server coming to our table.. In fact, servers came by and acted as though we were a nuisance since they were on break and couldnt be bothered. The thing that we both noticed is that the parking lot was empty and there were a bunch of servers and Silver Diner Employees just standing around. It should not be my business to ask them to serve my table or for me to go back in the kitchen and cook my own food. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and actually quite ticked that Silver Diner Tysons Corner can show so much disrespect for their Customers. My wife and I will NOT be coming back to this RESTAURANT anytime soon. Whoever is the Manager should be relieved of their responsibilities. The interesting thing is we were not the only customers that were being treated with Disrespect and ineptitude on the part of your Company.

I was staying at the Sheraton Tysons Corner for a convention. There actually arent too many breakfast choices in the area, so on the last morning before leaving the area, I decided to drive out a bit for a real diner breakfast. To be honest, I didnt expect anything close to the caliber of a Jersey diner but Silver Diner did hit the spot. I had a Country Griddle breakfast platter and it was full of gooey cheesy goodness with a biscuit on top! Service was also rather good. In the rush-rush DC area, I didnt expect the server to take the time to explain my choices but he did. Beyond food and service, everything seemed to be in order. The chrome exterior, the jukeboxes (which I didnt try, however), and the bathroom tile floor are all very diner-like. The menu goes to great lengths to stress the local-sourcing of ingredients. That didnt actually matter to me but Im glad that despite this feature, prices were reasonable.

Surprising good diner food from local, sustainable whole-food ingredients. Remember its a diner and you will be happy. Chicken tenders (handmade) and fountain milkshakes are pure childhood nostalgia. The burgers are pretty darn good since the menu refresh a couple years back. The crab and corn chowder is still terrific and theyve dialed down the salt which was one reason we had drifted away from this spot in the past. The fish and chips was surprisingly tasty, high quality, and low grease--flounder in a light lemon pepper crumb. Just avoid anything that tries to get too hipster/faux healthy (salmon oat sliders a big miss, salads nothing special). A healthier take on your late night/post drinks favorites or a great place to bring kids or diner fans.

Today, I went to the Silver Diner in Waldorf, MD to celebrate my moms belated birthday. We were promptly greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. A waiter, also friendly, stopped by to see if someone had taken our order. No one had stopped by, so he took our order. The food came shortly and was good! The customer service was great, but unfortunately, the food and drinks were grossly overpriced. My bison cheeseburger and fries cost nearly $16, not including a soft drink. Overall, I like the restaurant but dued to the prices, I would most likely go only a couple of times a year. If the prices were more competitive, Id go maybe a couple of times a month. I live about a half hour away from this restaurant location.

We had a good dinner there. They have healthier choices than the Silver Diner of years ago. I ordered the turkey sandwich. I requested that they hold the cheese and the guac, and substitute fruit for the fries. The food came out exactly as I had requested it. There was a slight upcharge for substituting fresh fruit but I was ok with that. Our server was attentive and efficient. It was a little noisy with music and conversations, kitchen sounds and kids. But it was still ok for conversation. They have jukeboxes at each table so customers choose the music. There was some repetition but the volume was at a reasonable level.

Ordered over the phone and confirmed 3 times !!!! When i get there to pick-up the food they are telling me that they dont have the shake i ordered ! In a case like that the person that takes the order should know that you dont have it !!! I had ordered an omelet with feta instead of cheddar and no mushrooms and a side of veggie sausage and again i confirmed that with the lady on the phone 3 times !!!! I got an omelet with both cheddar and feta cheese with mushrooms and the veggie sausage in the omlete !!!!!!!! Never going back to this location !!!!!

the decor is nice. The prices and a full plate of food. We saw on other peoples plates. We could not get wait on . And the one employee and hostess/waitress. WAs only one working. Many dirty table.s Some customers left without eating. She was taking a break. And saw people. Some people just left. And put some money down on the table. We left . And other people just left. Not stay long. And saw not wait on . We picked up a menu. Just to see what they had to eat. The prices moderate. The beverages look expensive. The parking lot is small.

We do breakfast more than lunch or dinner which is why the 4 stars and not 3. Friendly staff, good prices, fresh food. I may be alone on this but the only thing I just cannot get into are the hockey pucks they try to pass off as biscuits. Size always varies, hard shell crust, and the butter flavor is cooked out. I asked if they had some that were not so "done" and they said thats it, sorry. Ending on a positive note, the place is clean and easily accessible in the Tysons area. A great go-to!

The waitress barely spoke english. There was 7 of us and she was highly confused taking orders. They jammed us into a booth that fit 4 comfortably. The wines we ordered were incorrect. Side salads were forgotten. I ordered the salmon and lentils and it was tastless and dry. I think the lentils and slop that came with the salmon was just extra crap thrown together in the kitchen. I came back and vommitted about 20 minutes after eating. Would not recommend.
