Good food. Very scattered staff. A member of our party had the wrong food delivered to her and when she told the server about it (several minutes after it had been delivered bc we couldnt find her) she said "oh I grabbed the wrong thing" and walked away without saying anything else. The girl whose food was wrong continued to eat the wrong thing bc we had waited so long for the food that she was starving and then several minutes later (maybe 7?) the server brought the correct food out. The food was good though, and our server was friendly and nice. Would go again for sure.

I would first like to say that the food was amazing... When it finally came. it took 15 minutes to be seated 15 minutes to get a waitress to the table and 20 minutes for her to come get our order and 30 minutes receive the food so my pre dining experience was OVER an hour wait. There were silverfish crawling on the table and the cook and bartender where are arguing right in front of my face. Again great food and if they cant get their act together as far as customer service then this place would be too notch.

Looks can be deceiving My husband and I first came to this restaurant 9 years ago, man things have changed and not for the better. Food is still decent but we came back for the 50s diner feel and ambience. Giant TVs are now everywhere and constantly on. The table side juke boxes no longer function and they were playing music from different decades, maybe one or two from the 50s. All I can say for todays visit is that I will not be coming back. Steak and shake is just as good and cheaper.

The food was GREAT!!!!!! The only downfall was that the bill didnt add up and it seemed as if we were WAY over charged. As a group, they dont split he checks, but when everyone pays $5 to $8 more than what their meal was and the bill still turns up $80 + short....then somethings wrong! The thing is that the waiter couldnt explain it. We paid the bill and left. However, Im a little suspicious of going back if its more than 2-4 people eating.

The atmosphere was quite lively and there wasnt much of a wait to get seated. The server checked on us in proper intervals, and was on hand to help. The food was great, and wasnt packed with sodium like most places. The only downside to my experience was the number of hands that were visibly rolling silverware after only wiping in their aprons and slacks. Do drop by there if youre ever in Richmond.

Just returned from South Carolina stoped in Richmond Virginia to sleep checked out the River City Diner I had dinner first night and had breakfast next morning great staf great time and great food from the moment I walked in it felt like they knew you personally I wish I lived closer that would be my breakfast spot but its 8:00 hrs away but worth t2drive for a cup of coffee

Good selection of Salads for a diner. They seem everything from burgers, shakes to breakfast any time of day. Love the chili that I got along with the salad. Very good service and make sure to try their fresh made biscuits as well. My friend loved his cheese burger. Found out it is one of only two River City Diners and locally owned and operated businesses.

Found this restaurant using Google maps and I couldnt be happier. They have 3 diner locations in the city, I believe. I ordered the crab cakes for breakfast. Crab cakes tasted fresh and I went for the double order. Only order the double if youre hungry cuz its a lot of food. I will definitely be stopping here again in the future!

I must say I expected more but it wasnt horrible I would say definitely stick to the burgers I had the chicken sandwich and it was not good but it looked delicious when it came out but it was super chewy but the waiter was great and quickly replaced it with a burger which was much better I would probably try it again.

We visited on New Years Day. The place was full but the wait was under 5 minutes. The food and service were excellent. The coffee was exceptional. There is plenty of public parking nearby and reasonably abundant parking on the street. It is worth getting off I-95 if youre looking for an authentic diner.

Stopped through town here. What an excellent find! I couldnt resist having the garbage plate, and Im glad I did. The milkshakes were great, the garbage plate is an experience you must have and the staff was awesome. It appeared that many of them were roller derby girls. +1 to that! I loved this retro diner.

Breakfast is BAD. The bacon is precooked and reheated, the biscuts and gravy was from a can, the cooks take too many short cuts and the food was subpar. Service is great and staff is friendly. Maybe lunch/dinner are better but if you take that many short cuts on breakfast I cant try dinner.

There was nothing exceptional about it overall. The food was average. The atmosphere was nice.If you are really hungry its worth a try. The parking is lacking and not to much inside takes up for that. The waitress was decent enough. Give it a try for yourself you may not be disappointed.

The food was horrid, burnt onion rings and under cooked wings, nasty. I really want to love this place but I doubt I will ever go back unless they have some new management and some consistency in the kitchen. Staff is ok but seems like they have a LOT of turnover.

Great breakfast spot. We come here so much the servers know our favorite drink orders and often suggest new concoctions we should try. Food is priced right and is served quickly. Plenty of TVs to catch up on the latest happenings in sports and the news.

I hate this Diner the website says it closes at 10 and I get there pay for parking just to get to the door they say they are closed ! Very unfortunate for my stomach and very unfortunate for them because they lost a potential loyal customer

PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! Disgusting chefs, I walked in the bathroom after the head chef he had, just pooped and DIDNT even attempt to wash his hands. I am almost threw up as I watched him immediately walk to the kitchen and grab someones food!!!

Oh gosh love this place, if you dont love the potato salad Ill pay for it, lol but its that good, a little spicy but that makes it, breakfast and lunch only but both to perfection closes at 4 pm.

Burger was cooked right but the taste was nothing fancy. Who uses chili with beans for chili cheese fries? However, the buffalo wings were some of the best Ive ever had.

The service is great. My favorite breakfast food is sausage gravy and biscuits, but out of a lot of brunch and breakfast places in richmond, its kind of bland.
