I have been to Sato Ramen several times, and tonight (August 17, around 7 pm) was by far the most disappointing. Several items on the menu were not available, but the staff did not make that knowledge available to me until after I had tried to order. It took three tries to order something they had available. By the time the person I was with and I even received our appetizer of spring rolls and a steam bun, the two groups who came in and ordered after us had already been served and nearly finished with their ramen, one of which sent back their ramen for being too cold, and the couple next to us received eggs in the ramen after asking for no eggs. Unfortunately, my next trip to Sato may not be for a while, and if I have an experience like tonight, it will be my last trip.

The ramen was very good...the karage chicken was too dry. We were there on a Saturday evening and there were 7 in our group...halfway into our meal we learned that our 3 orders of rice cannot be provided to us. We learned of this only after asking one of their staff multiple times. If we did not ask, we probably would not have been told until the end of our meal. Let me reiterate, the ramen was very good...everything else leaves a lot to be desired...a lot. P.S. we still gave them a 20% tip, regardless.

Ramen is delicious. Staff is awesome. Your only fault is seating. I like the community-style table and being able to elbow-bump with a stranger while eating my unagi Donburi. But... maybe a few more tables? Its frequent you see people standing waiting for people to finish their food so they can get a seat. Outside of that, if youre able to get in, SATO is a must. Download the app on your phone for discounts and a stamp card that wont get lost in your wallet/purse!

Very interesting shop, worth trying. Probably the best Ramen in Buffalo. Highly recommend Gyu Don Rice bowl, the pork in it is sliced super thin and marinated in a soy sauce based sauce and it tastes absolutely amazing with the slightly sticky rice. The extra egg and spring rolls makes it even better. The only thing is that its slightly on the sweeter side. Service is quick, staff are helpful. Nothing better than this.

I come here often and its always delicious. Great staff that makes authentic great food from scratch. Its comfy and cozy but can feel a little small when its packed, but thats the experience of a real Japanese ramen bar. More ramen options than their other elmwood location, definitely try the tonkotsu, kimchi ramen, and the tori paitan garlic chicken ramen.

Love this place!! Everything my wife and I have ever had here is outstanding. Faves are the Buffalo Chicken and Tonkutso ramen. Staff is fabulous...always courteous, attentive, hard working and we enjoy interaction with them as they prepare the meals. Fun place, but its the great food and staff that cause us to continually come back.

First time that I was here and I liked it a lot. Ive gone to the other location several times but this one is much closer to my house and they have a great menu. I got the kimchi Ramen and was very pleased. The Jasmine green tea was also great. I will definitely go back and try the other things on the menu.

Not a bad bowl of ramen, but it tasted average and tame. Soup also felt like it should have been hotter but I did get corn added to my ramen. The corn felt like it was spooned out of a can and put right into the bowl. This may have lowered the temp a bit too.

Id recommend eating here for once, but not often. Their signature menu is overpriced($17) and it doesnt really taste like what Ive eaten in Japan or Korea. Im not saying the taste is bad but it just that the menu itself got Americanized too much...

Loved the food. Went there for a quick bite. Ordered large fries and spring rolls. They were delicious. Has a really great ambience and the folks are very courteous. Thanks for a great time. Looking forward to visiting again.

Tried it here for first time. Had the Tonkotsu Ramen and it was as good as it looks. Nice creamy broth and a great mixture of flavors. Casual, low-key place. Will definitely be coming back to sample the other dishes.

The place is okay. Service is good, but the Unadon made me disappointed. The rice is not tasty, I dont know what kind of sauce did they put in my rice. The eel was just okay. Maybe Ramen tastes better, idk.

Cant really give this place any less than five when I keep coming back on a regular basis. The soups are one hell of a meal. The fries are an experience. Just a great place to go when youre in the area.

Were visiting from MA. Our first time having real ramen dishes. Our daughter lives here in Buffalo and introduced us to SATO Ramen. Such great food & excellent service! Love it all and well be back!

Food is good. But food prep is very slow. Noodles and don shouldnt take that much time. Not a good place for workday lunch if you are in a hurry, but they do take out which will be ready in ~20 min.

I liked this place, the menu was a decent size broken down into ramen bowls and rice bowls. I ordered the kimchi ramen and I do recommend. This is a very small place to eat so be careful when you go!

I think the food is just not good. I dont understand why people like overly salted pork, bad ramen and overly salted broth? The staff were very kind but that doesnt mean the experience was good.

I thought the food tasted great! Portions were small for the price 12.99 for cheap noodle bowl. I feel the portion needs the be larger for a better review even if its just more noodles.

Quick comfort food, the ramen here is made with fresh ingredients and the broth/noodles are made in house. Can get loud/crowded at peak hours since the place is small.

The broth at SATO is amazing. Have tried both their ramen as well as the gyu don (thinly sliced beef & onions in a tasty sauce) and both were excellent.

Hard to find a better Japanese Ramen place in the Buffaloregion. If you are in NYC go to Ichiran Ramen in Brooklyn, but go to Satos if you are in Buffalo

I wish they put more noodles for ramen. Its about 10$ per dish and it doesnt fill my stomach enough. Interior, taste, and service is pretty good tho.

The spicy miso ramen is unreal. Get the pickled shiitake mushrooms and kimchi in it FTW. The flavor melodies will make your heart and soul sing.

Food is amazing, great service, and vegetarian and vegan foods clearly labeled. Veggie ramen and iced machi late: I would recommend!
