Despite the gaudy decor and bad lighting, I let my father choose this restaurant for a family dinner because hed eaten here before and enjoyed it. The service was so-so until my sister and I found hair in our soup (which tasted rather bad to begin with). At that point, the true colors of this restaurant came out--when we informed the waitress, she tried to tell us the hair wasnt there, instead of promptly taking care of the matter. After arguing with her on this (my sister had lost the hair when poking at the soup), she finally agreed to take it back, leaving before we could tell her we didnt want another serving either. Spare yourself, and choose another restaurant.

Not familiar with Thai food but a friend took me there. Weve been 2 or 3 times and enjoyed it very much. Enough that we chose to go back. Have eaten an eggplant dish because I like eggplant . It was good. Must like brown sauces? Have also eaten red curry chicken dish. Would order either again. Friend had some kind of yellow shrimp curry dish also with pumpkin and Id try that also. Just down home folks who know nothing of Thai except this is one I felt comfortable at and enjoyed my meal.

I cant figure out why this is rated so highly. The food wasnt bad but anyone can cook better than this. I had mystery vegetables in my tempura. My rolls were bland even with sauce. The tea was terrible. My friend didnt get what he ordered but we wanted to hurry up and eat. The service is nothing special. I could go to the nearby McDonalds and get better service. Wont go back.

Not a great place to eat thai food, if you are looking for good thai resturaunt. Service is not good and quality of the food is not good and I would not reccomend anyone to this place. I had been there couple of times and the consistency of the food is not maintained and this place is not clean.

It is a small place but the Lunch is great. Even when at the peak of the rush, your food comes out more than quickly enough so that if you work within a few miles of here you can eat in the restaurant and make it back to work in an hour. Noodles of the Drunk Thai Hot is the way to go.

I highly recommend the Spicy Noodle (N7), Dry, with Beef, Thai Hot. They normally only take 5 minutes to get me the above-mentioned order and it is my favorite lunch-time meal in all of Richmond. Try this place out if you havent yet!

We eat red curry chicken here for lunch often, and Thai Diner 1 is one of our two favorite Richmond area Thai restaurants. Lunch service and carry out is fast, and the staff and owners are friendly.

Pumpkin curry is always a treat! Best Thai south of the Beltway. Staff is courteous and helpful. Have tried five Thai restaurants in Richmond and keep returning here.

The curry was really good! It does have a diner like atmosphere( subject to interpretation). Service was good, no complaints. Ill definitely be going there again.

Excellent Service and great food! My wife and I love the Spicy Noodle Soup with Chicken and the Massaman Curry is really good too. Also kid friendly.

Food is really inconsistent. Ive stop eating there. They ask you how spicy you would like your food but make it the wa they want to anyway.
