My mother and I live near Gettysburg Pa and made the trip to this resturant on a whim after a Yelp! Heads up. We spent a good 30 minutes deciding where to have our annual mother daughter meal. ( since my 3 young girls usually go everywhere with us) I must say, we were both impressed Upon arrival we were seated at a table next to the fireplace The setting was comfy-cozy & country with primitive decore. We were quickly handed menus and asked what we would care to drink. Then our sever, Mary Lou ( who is amazing) took our orders and returned with homemade buttery biscuits and fresh apple butter -yum :) Mom and I both ordered homemade coleslaw ( very creamy, chunky, sweet) she even let us sample before ordering. My mother and I both ordered the beef brisket. Mom enjoyed a bowl of clam chowder and in no time our food arrived. The beef was pretty tender, it came in long thick slices (about 4 decent sized pieces). The mashed potatos, although abit thick had a great taste and were also good. The corn on the cobb was ok, but not the greatest probably since it is currently out of season and the corn was not the typical frozen half cobb you get most places. Mom said her broccoli was on parr. I had planned to order a dessert, but we left WAY too full. Thanks so much for a truely unforgetable, awesome experience. We will definately be back. This is my new favorite resturant. You do not have to ask for a refill or extra napkins . The waitress really made the experience worth every penny and then some. Also, the food is VERY reasonable.

Ive been here twice now and both times were fantastic. The staff are all very friendly and outgoing, the place is clean and the food is good. From what I can tell, most of the food seems real and not some instant mix from a box. The mashed potatoes are real potatoes and not some powder mixed with milk and water. Because the food is real it takes just a little bit longer to be prepared, but its worth waiting for. The pork & sauerkraut with mashed potatoes is excellent. I can also tell you that their apple crisp dessert is heavenly as well. I live fairly close and I really hope Hickory Ridge succeeds here, this location hasnt been the best for other establishments in the past. Its about time that this end of Chambersburg gets its own great little restaurant.

Although I went in and was pleased with the new decor and the menu, I ordered take out and should have checked the order. I attempted to call when I arrived home but there is no phone number listed with their website or address. First, I ordered the special but was told that they thought instead of the sandwich that i want the chicken salad on a salad and I order the smoked gobbler with bacon, gouda, tomato, spinach & mayo - when I got home, found a sandwich with thin slice of turkey and slice of cheese without any of the other items. I am hoping it was because they are new, The menu looked promising so I may go back and try another item.

Ate there twice in the last month and yet to get anything but mediocre meals. 1st meal was brisket that was thrown on the grill to heat it than gravy put on it. Who does that? 2nd meal was flavorless meat loaf that was mostly bead crumbs. To top it off my wife got pan fried chicken that was pink inside and they blamed it on the hot sauce in the marinade. Who serves (or who would eat) chicken thats pink inside, its a sure way to get sick. Also who would Amerind chicken in hot sauce without advertising it that way. It only takes once of eating under cooked chicken to learn not to eat pink chicken

Food has been good up until a few weeks ago and seems to have changed a bit. The last 2 trips the service has been a bit slow but dont mind waiting for good hot food. This past weekend, went for breakfast and ordered a crepes with eegs and sausage was good with the exception that the end of one was black...literally black as if it fell I. The fire. Again up to this point t has been good....hope this was a fluke

The food was amazing, prices reasonable, and the employees were a blast! My table was served by Sarah and she was such a sweetheart. Nate also came by and everyone made our night and meal great. We came in 20 minutes before close (yes, were THOSE people), but they still served us wth smiles and we all were laughing and having a blast the entire time. I will definitely be back!

All food is advertised as "farm to table". The service here was wonderful, our waitress was very attentive. The food was very good, sandwiches are creative such as " the Gobbler", drinks served in mason jars. Quiet little place, very country, with Pa Dutch inspired recipes. Diner pricing, good portions, they get very busy around 4 through dinner.

Great dinner or breakfast. Lots of homemade options. Fresh local meats. The biscuits are sublime, especially with the homemade apple butter. Wait staff is attentive and accommodating. Fresh brewed sweet tea, and fresh ground coffee. The coffee is where they lose the fifth star, better than most restaurants in the area but not great.

I wasnt too sure what to expect for my first time here, but the food was outstanding. I was was a group of 15 for breakfast and everyone enjoyed theor meals. Our server, Jessica, was sweet, prompt, and well organized. All around, I would definitely come here again.

We go here all the time and love it! The chocolate chip/peanut butter chip pancakes are the bomb! And the waitress Lori is awesome! We always ask for her. Not only is she funny but she treats you like family and always makes sure your food is the best!

The atmosphere is nice and the service is really nice and the prices a reasonable. But they need to work on their potatoes. My friend got chip beef over potatoes and I got a sunny skillet and the potatoes were like eating rubber.

The food is great, service is very good. There is a nice selection of food. The prices are reasonable. I really like the chili and the burgers. My wife loves the "home cooked" options.

The employees seemed like they would prefer we were not there. Slow service, and the food was not so great. I will give them another try, but if it is the same, I would not go back.

Great service. Probably new favorite place in the area for breakfast. Portions good, price good. 2.99 for a kids meal of Choco chip pancakes with a juice, my kid loved them.

Have tried several items on the menu and havent been disappointed yet! The chicken pot-pie is comfort food. As close as you will get to home made Pennsylvania cooking!
