Since the new Sushi chef has come on board they have taken their theatrics to a new level, but they still rush you when you are eating. Watch next time you are in if you eat at the sushi bar, they will literally throw food at you to increase the size of your bill. Dont even get me started with the drinks. If I tell someone 5xs "No thanks, I am not drinkiong today", do not keep asking and pressuring me to buy...wtf?? It is the only place I know where I can go in and spend $140 and a week later I stop by and they (innocently sounding enough) will ask "do you want to taste

Just flat out the best Chinese and Sushi available in Shelton. Hands down. If you are going to dine in, the service is excellent. Extremely friendly staff. They always greet me with a huge smile on their faces whether Im dining in or getting takeout. Its a bit pricey but worth it for great tasting food and friendly staff. Like I said the only negative is their high prices compared to other Chinese Food restaurants, but the extra money is well worth it for great tasting food and the entire staff. If you have never been here and your local, definitely give it a try.

My FAVORITE place to go. Our birthdays and holidays are always spent there. The service is amazing and the food is just fantastic. You cannot find sushi like this anywhere else in the valley area. Be sure to try the sushi pizza or if youre looking for something awesome thats not on the menu they make a great King Tuna roll. Sitting at the sushi bar is best. Those guys are great and always have suggestions for things to try if youre not sure but want something new. We LOVE you Hunan Pan!! PS They are great at accommodating large groups with short notice.

Food is delicious, very attentive wait staff. A bit expensive compared to similar restaurants. They ALWAYS try to upsell you and get you to order more or something you may not have really wanted. But most of the time you will find it is delicious and leftovers are a plus. Downside is there is no childrens menu whatsoever , and only one size for dishes for dine-in, which means it can get very expensive to order for a family with young children. Try the tokyo (sushi) dumpling. No idea what is in it, but delicious!

Im a sushi fanatic. Ive gone to many many sushi restaurants all over. Hunan Pan is by far the best sushi I have ever had. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are the friendliest people. Very amazing! They always make you feel like youre their top customer. I go out of my way every time I want sushi because I only want it from Hunan Pan now. On top of that, their other meals, like chickens and salads, are to die for as well. I would tell everyone if I could to go here.

I had only heard bad things from people about this establishment because of the health code violations or something to that degree, however I decided to try it anyway and I enjoyed the food there as well as the decor while I dined inside. They stayed on top of keeping my glass of water full and it got to be a joke as we dined we kept cracking every time someone took a sip because they were literally there to fill it immediately afterwards.

I ordered from this place today, online order seemed simple enough , it said delivery time 30-40 min after 50 min I called the restaurant , they said they didnt see the order. Then the guy said oh I see it , its going to take another 10 min. Order to delivery time took over an hour. Not normal for this type of restaurant. I wont have delivery from here again.

Just moved to this area and was hoping against hope that Id find a great place for both Japanese and Chinese fare, and this is it. Ordered some sushi, appetizers ,and the sesame chicken and my husband and I loved it. Very well made. The sushi was really fresh and the delivery guy was very friendly. The online ordering feature is convenient and fast.

Weve been going to Hunan Pan for years now and it is by far our favorite restaurant for Sushi & Chinese food in Connecticut. We travel quite a bit and always compare the quality & taste of their food to that of other restaurants... Sushi rolls cannot be beat... Consistently great food, fantastic service and we are always welcomed with a smile!

I really enjoy the Sushi here!! Its always fresh and Sushi chef is delightful ...Everyone that works here is AWESOME!!! I eat here at least once a week... You cannot beat the service as once they know you they call you by your name and the food is great too!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves to eat GREAT tasting food!!!

Ive been going to Hunan Pan for years and it is by far my favorite Chinese food. My go to items are the general Tsos chicken and the spicy Szechuan dumplings. The sushi is pretty good too. The staff is always super friendly and attentive. They tend to be a little more pricy than other local places, but its worth it.

Amazing as always!!! We got the rolls we knew we wanted and took the advice offered for everything else. The sashimi is phenomenal, the rolls are ridiculous, and the play between the different flavors and textures is drool worthy. Do yourself a favor and come down. It is worth every bite, sip, and smile!!!

Amazing Chinese food. Anyone that says differently obviously is not well traveled. The service is phenomenal, extremely friendly staff and the seafood and sushi is extremely fresh. Prices are great but Im a New Yorker ;-) Love the lunch menu selection. Best in CT in my opinion.

Best customer service, top notch sushi, little pricy, but the staff earns it. They go out if their way to make you feel welcomed and everything is to your liking. Ive had sushi in major cities and overseas, IMO Hunan Pan is among the top.

I been here couple times, being new in town I enjoyed the food here, especially the yangchow fried rice, smells and tastes very good. Friendly staff, pleasant to dine in or take out.

Owner and staff learn you by name. Really show a lot of enthusiasm when you enter. Tea and water served immediately. Staple restaurant in town! Some of the best sushi!
