Its a Gyros joint. The service was excellent, the food, beyond mediocre. The Gyros is "Kronos", thats Greek for mystery meat, and all jokes aside has no resemblance to traditional Gyros whatsoever. The fries were half cooked, the tzatziki sauce watery, but the tables were sparkling clean. I get that this is a neighborhood place, I just wish it wasnt in mine. Sure, you could score a snack at 3am, but you could also stay home and save your $10-15 for lottery tickets or a years subscription to the Sun Times. An extra star for service.

Ive been a customer of Wendy Citys for years....My favorite item on the menu is the greek chicken. They cook the chicken rotisserie style, then they put it on their charcoal grill and add the lemon sauce.....it is just delicious with nice flavor added from the grill. Its usually very tender and comes with a good helping of fries, a small container of cole slaw on the side, toasted italian bread and a pickle. Cant beat that or the fact that a whole chicken dinner is about $10.

Love the place. Super friendly ppl working here. And I mean WORKing!! These guys are always fast. They have to be. Hey are always busy and its well worth it. I usually call my order in to save time. The Greek chicken salad rocks. Its usually my go to. And its large enough for two ppl. Gyro here re fret too but a little tip: get he gyro plate delux. You get extra meat and extra pita. Great for sharing and cheaper then buying two regular gyro

OPEN 24 HOURS, YAY! Everyday there is some sort of food special. My favorites are the chicken or gyros plates. They also have other items like hot dogs, grilled cheese, salads, and pizza puffs. Walking distance from the Sheridan Red Line stop. If driving, they have a parking lot. Good place to stop in after a long night of drinking. Dont expect friendly service though, theyre strictly business, in and out!

Couldnt tell you how the food is...could be great... i couldnt get past the donkey at the counter as I asked if I could get a receipt....he asked me what do I need a receipt for? Guess its just me...but seems like a fairly easy question to answer...normally indicated by a yes or no....must be they never heard of people asking for a receipt...all I can say is stupid donkey!

Windy City Gyros as the features you want in a restaurant like this : 1. Food is made fresh on the spot. 2. Service is fast 3. A great selection of meal choices. 4. Services is friendly and helpful 5. You cant beat the great prices. Make sure to try out the chicken tacos. They are the size of burritos.

I really like Windy City Gyros. It isnt the nicest, the food isnt the best, but it is open until like 4 AM every night. A favorite spot for taxis and late night police officers, there is a reason for it. The portions are huge, the staff is friendly, and you can get great food LATE. My go to after bar spot.

The menu prices are outdated. The menu says gyros are $4.60 but inside the restaurant the price is $6.05. Over 60% of the online prices do not match the menu prices in the store, so they basically attract customers with their low menu prices, and when the customers arrive they do not get what they see.

Great food, but the staff has gotten a little lax over the past few months on making sure orders are right...would say at least half of my last 10 orders have been missing items or ingredients. The chicken pita is the best in town when everything is on it that you ask for

A good end of the night place if youre partying in Boystown and need something quick and good to sober you up and make you feel good. Gyro is always a good call but the burgers here are good too! Greasy spoon comfort food.

The gyros are amazing! They dont put too many toppings on them but the gyro meat alone is worth going there. Great prices, dont expect anything fancy but expect your taste buds to leave feeling satisfied.

The gyros here are delicious and theyre open really late. We arrived just before they closed and they werent too disappointed to see us. Portions are healthy!

The BEST gyros I ever had. Need i say more? Yes. The meat is kinda sweet and spicy. Not ordinary at all... You will notice the difference on the first bite.
