Very disappointed, Unfortunately they are always super slow to bring entrees to table. I ordered a fish and the price on menu was $13.95 with photo of fish clearly on menu above price. When I got the check they were charging me $17.95, I brought this to servers attention, the server said " Oh , people always get confused with this price, and he pointed to tiny letters away from fish photo that said Shrimp Entrée. I told him why would you print a menu with photo of Fish with $13.95 and place small letters that say Shrimp diagonally from photo???!! ! why dont you fix this and stop Rippin people off and place a photo of Shrimp!! Fish was definitely low quality regular Shopper food warehouse fish, not well cooked, definitely not worth the $18.00 DC mid-upscale price, go to a real deal Latino restaurant , like Azucena Manassas, they dont trick you with prices, service is fast. Also I asked server that if customers are always confused to ask Owner to fix this mistake, he was there present and when he went and talk to him, owner acted like he did not care at ALL!!??

Hands down this was my worst restaurant experience ever. I went in there today to eat some dinner and regret it. I ordered nachos mexicana with ground beef and a tacos platter. As I was waiting, they gave me yuca fries which were good and pretty much the only good part. I got the nachos first and the portion size was actually good except for it tasting bad. The ground beef they used was terrible and really saucy so pretty much all the nachos were soggy. Then when they saw I stopped eating the nachos they brought the tacos which I was wrong for thinking they cover up the mess of nachos I got. They were the same way ground beef tasted barely cooked and the refried beans and rice it came with was very plain. The total came out to 16 dollars and for that price it should at least taste good like chilis

YES! Cheap and really delicious? In Arlington? I know it sounds too good to be true, but yes, you can have an excellent and filling meal (or three) for under $20. The food is the main draw - everything is well spiced, delicious, and shockingly inexpensive. The drinks are just ok: got margaritas, but they were pretty weak sauce. But the food and the staff more than made up for it. Dont be scared of the slightly skeevy exterior, I promise youll enjoy the food inside!

You know its a good sign when you walk into an ethnic restaurant and almost everyone there shares the ethnicity of the description for the place. At Atlacatl, you get authentic food at fantastic prices. My wife and I had a full meal for about $10. Their papusas are more than worth the drive across D.C. While we still dont know what fruit was in our fruit beverage, we loved it and highly recommend it! This place made us love El Salvadorian food!

I have been coming here since I was 5 years old. Same friendly people, and I love the dish they serve as an appetizer, the fried yucca with some spicy sauce. The Pupusas are efficiently one of a kind. The sopa de Marisco hits the spot especially if you are sick. I hands down recommend coming here on a week day, parking can be a bit tricky, since their lot is very tiny.

One of the best indicators of authentic dining/food is to bring someone from that country/ethnic region. I had been to Atlacatl years ago when it was on Washington Blvd. While the appearance of the new restaurant on Columbia Pike could be described as slightly shabby, the food is far from it. Go and try it!!

Price point was great, food quality was mediocre. Nothing to write home about. They gave yucca fries before the food came, and I ordered the pupusas and yucca con chicharron. There were not enough bits of chicharron. The cabbage for the pupusas was a delightful suprise and was sweet.

The hours listed here are incorrect. It states they are closed Saturday and Sunday and they are not closed... This is a fantastic place to eat. Its one of those small hole in the walls that serve great food and have a small town feel. I eat here every time Im in the area.

Delicious food and drinks! I had the Chimichanga and a Pina colada. Friendly staff, bit of a wait for food but it was pretty packed which told me the food was worth the wait. I felt like I was actually in El Salvador with the decor, photographs, maps and music.

Ive came to this resturant many times before, the food is great but you have to wait a while for it to come although getting your beverage early makes up for it in a way. As much as I like this place, the parking space can be quite difficult.

I always order the Enchiladas and time after time Im surprised that the taste is still as good as the first time I ate here. The Horchata is so delicious i also have a craving for it. Will definitely be back.
