Although I never go this far south in Brooklyn, a friend of mine pulled me to Opera for breakfast and couldnt have had a better brunch experience. This Turkish cafe definitely serves up some of the best breakfast dishes I have come across. They do have an extensive menu which makes it a little confusing and indecisive but when you settle on a dish, it does not disappoint. We were seated next to the window, with lots of sunshine and great view of the street and water. We ordered pancakes, a salmon salad and some omelets. Every dish was perfect, with purely phenomenal flavors. Free refills on our coffees (Hell yeah) I wish they were further up North so I wouldnt have to go to Sheepshead Bay (The place gives me the creeps) The bill was great too. Cheaper than I expected it to be and parking was pretty easy to find too. I would love to go back and try the dinner menu as I heard that is good too.

Ive eaten at OPera several times for lunch and dinner over the years. Its a pretty refined place. The servers are very polite and fastidious, and the food appears to be very carefully prepared. Ive mostly eaten fish dishes here (usually branzino and salmon), along with some Mediterranean specialities like salad, hummus, and a lamb shank. Ive been quite happy with the cuisine. All my proteins are typically cooked exactly as I requested--medium rare for red meat and salmon. I really like the little touches, fresh and warmed Turkish bread, The wine selection is good too. I had a 2008 Worthy cabernet sauvignon that was just dynamite. So we had a great time.

Ill start off by saying the food was great, but the service and overall experience was absolutely terrible! Staff is completely rude, only our waiter was nice. We went in with my 5 month old baby who was sleeping and asked to be seated outside but further next to the old china max away from loud noise and smoking people. (We had no problem waiting) Was seated right in the middle next to the place where the waiters throw the dishes and next to the trash. When we asked to be moved politely they rolled their eyes and said that they couldnt move us. Waiters kept waking up the child, overall had a horrible experience and wil not be going back there.

Portions were really good. Had two fish tacos. Love the way the fish was a whole piece and not chopped into itty bitty bites. You have a choice of blackened or grilled. Obviously I chose the grilled, love tasting my food. My friends ordered the quesadilla and pulled pork tacos. Service was great and we were seated within minutes. Must try the guacamole and chips! The only thing I would recommend it to not sit by the doors, especially during the winter time. There was a draft the whole time, my friends and I just got colder and colder. Would definitely go back again!

Nice place for a last minute or first thought outing, which it was for my friend and I (spontaneous girls outing). We only had a few appetizers (fried calamari $11, cheese plate $12.50, steamed mussels in white wine sauce $11), and two drinks (Lychee & Pomegranate martini $11 each). Complimentary bread was also given with the meal. We were content with our meal, and accommodations for the sudden rain that blessed our heads. Sitting outside can be a little loud at times, but was still enjoyable. I would definitely go back for a full course meal.

The menu here, like the place itself is really massive. Youll be surprised by the variety youll find here. The place brings a positive, upbeat atmosphere and is just overall full of activity. You wont be able to find quiet here, if thats what youre looking for. Prices are fair, a little bit on the expensive side, especially the tea pot. But everything, including the food works well. Also they announce everyones birthday publicly over the intercom, so if you have a birthday have it here its catered to really well.

Terrible experience. My wife and I decided to have dinner here one night. Was promptly seated but was never served. For 15 minutes people walked up and down right past us without offering any service while serving all of the other people around us. Apparently if you are not white you will not get service here. The staff made eye contact with is but just did see fit to even offer water. We ended up getting up and walking out. What a horrible place. Again, if you re a person of color I do not recommend this place.

I think Opera Cafe is the best Mediterranian cuisine in Brooklyn, beautiful decor, so cozy ambiance which makes you feel somewhere in Heaven. I had seafood Linguine it was so delicious and the mojito with a decent liquor. Opera has very large drink selections, there are wines from all over the world. Wait-staff was so polite and helpful. we felt like never leave this place on comfortable chairs. Prices are very affordable . For sure I will be back soon :)

The food is good and delicious. The appetizers are overpriced as mentioned. The staff is great. The atmosphere is good and I love that it also has a outside sitting option. I love it in the mornings when there is not much people around. Otherwise it is crowded and loud. We love to go with kids for breakfast as it is kid friendly. They give crayons and paper for them. Also the staff are really nice with kids. Recommended.

Very spacious place with high ceilings and great view of the bay. Indoors and outdoors seating areas - great for any season or weather. Delicious food, excellent selection, generous portions, and the best Turkish coffee Ive had in a very long time. Very friendly staff, and fast service. A little on the expensive side, but worth every penny. This is one of my familys most favorite spots for a weekend breakfast.

Great views, good food, courteous service. Middle Eastern cuisine, well prepared and tastefully presentation. Wait staff courteous and attentive without appearing to hover. Interesting Turkish decor. The chandeliers are Intricately adorned with scrollwork and are colorful yet not overly ornate. There is al fresco dining in the warmer months. Long lines to be seated in the summer but worth the wait.

The food was amazing. I came here for breakfast with my coworker. Great comfortable seating (in and outdoor seating). Entering there was no host so we just came right in. Seated right away. I had the lamb Adana and my coworker the Lamb dumpling they were delicious. The prices are on the bit expensive side but it is worth it. Fairly crowded place during lunch and dinner.
