To whom is my concern April 12th, 2013 On April 8, 2013 I came to Chipotle for my third interview. The interview went fine until the conclusion in which I had to shake the interviewer’s hand. Since I am of Muslim religion I could not shake the interviewer’s hand, Alexander (known as Alex), and I apologized as kind as I could. Alexander then added, “If you work here, you need to take off your headscarf.” I replied that it was a religious necessity. He then continued to say, “We will not hire you if you wear the headscarf.” and did not provide a valid reason to this claim. I applied for a crew member position and the position itself does not have any requirements that cannot be met if the applicant is wearing a headscarf. When working with food, one must wear a hairnet and I obliged on top of my headscarf, the goal being the same that no hair will fall into the food. Alexander however refused by request and insisted that I had to take it off. I find this claim by Chipotle Mexican Grill both discriminatory and unlawful. As you can see it is not an issue if I qualify for the position, but rather an issue against the wearing of my headscarf. Under State Government Article, Section 20-602 it states that “all manufactures are to assure all persons equal opportunity in receiving employment...regardless of race,color, RELIGION..” Does this STATE law not apply to Chipotle especially the Kensington, MD store? The law has been broken by this assistant manager and I demand for reparations. This violates the beliefs of America, its constitution, and any morals of this so called assistant manager. On Chipotle’s website it states that the company “treats animals with dignity and respect.” If only this were the case for its future employees, Am I, a human, to be treated with less dignity and respect than a mere animal? This assistant manager deserves to be fired for violating state law, and if he is not, I will lose all faith within the United States justice system. Thank You for your time, Joumana

The staff was nice and the food was ok, very small portions. My bowl was looking like a taco, I had to ask for more of many items. The bowl was still not full like other Chipotles. There was one manager type guy there that seemed a bit rude to the emplpyees. Lettuce was wilted and the corn was almost frozen it was so cold. They also only had unsweetened tea. This is the only one I have been to without sweet tea, its like the concept of franchise brand consistency was lost on this one. I am sure there might be others that might not have sweet tea, but brand consistency is why I go to a chain. I wanted what I always get and was disappointed.

Ive been visiting this location on the way home from work, and at different times also. Unlike other chains in MoCo, I think this one is my favorite one. The food is always fresh and ready, and when I have a minute to eat in, their music selection is a good mix of genres. Dining room is well kept up also, for as busy as this place is, I usually find a clean spot no problem. Keep it up and thanks for keeping the line moving!

One of the better Chipotles you can go to in this area. Staff listens and understands what you tell them to put on your food and you dont feel hurried. Parking is hard to find though. In other reviews, I saw people saying the portion is small. Just speak up and ask for an extra scoop. They will do it. I always ask for more sour cream and corn on the side and never get charged for it.

Go to any other chipotle in the area except this one. They skimp on their portions and on top of that extra sour cream is $1 more. Every other chipotle doesnt charge for this. Theyre really cheap and try to over charge for as much as they can. Theres a chipotle a minutes drive away in Wheaton mall I suggest you go there if you dont want to be cheated.
