This place should have by all rights deserved more stars, but I cannot in good conscience excuse the insanely bad customer service. It was a Monday night and my friend and I stopped by. What luck- the menus boated half-price sangria and chicken and veggie fajitas on Mondays. Nice! The food was really good too. Then we get the bill. Oops! Its full price. No problem, I alert the waiter to his mistake. He apologizes by saying "oh whoops, we dont do the half-price Monday stuff anymore. Yeah, sorry, I understand, I feel bad. Yeah, it shouldnt have been on the menu. Yeah, the owner, man, I know. Sorry. Nothing I can do." I go inside to have a friendly conversation with the owner. She (raising a suspicious eyebrow) asks me how it is that my friend and I both just "happened" to get two of the only menus that dont have the Monday deal whited-out. As if I was trying to scam her. I point out that its not my fault, and that she needed to fix the problem. Wildly gesticulating now, she waves her arms above her head and demands to know "how do you think I could ever offer those prices in this economy?!" I didnt know and frankly didnt care. I told her word of mouth was something she should be careful of, and so here I am, telling anyone who will listen to be careful. The food may be pretty good, but man. That is some bad service. Epilogue: I got the discount price, but Im never going back.

Ok, so after reading the reviews I have to defend and promote our local neighborhood Mexican Bar and Grill. We go here all the time for the $10 fajitas and to watch sports. The food is good...honestly. I do not eat fast food very often so those who rate actual product over the processe and sodium filled Taco Bell need to do their research. Being in Arlington and DC area its hard for me to rate their food as "excellent" because of the options around. But it is good. I havent had anything remotely close to poor or bad. Its always to order, tasty, and the proper temperature. Their chicken enchiladas are FRESH shredded chicken. The lettuce is not from a bag its hand cut and not wilty. They know what they are doing. Weve lived in Texas, Las Vegas, and San Diego and have family who are from Mexico...this is authentic... The service is excellent. Everyone is friendly and willing to accomodate any order changes and additions. Its family friendly (separate dining from the bar). There are outdoor tables which are great. Give them a chance! Youll be pleasantly surprised at what you are getting for the price. And the atmosphere will make the experience even better.

Dont go on Mondays or cinco de Mayo.. thought there might be some specials.. nope! Overly sweetened margarita with cheap tequila (not fresh), burrito was uncooked in the middle as if it had been frozen and microwaved. Tacos took 1.5 hours to be served (ordered at the same time as the burrito and multiple times post). Tacos tasted great.. The part of the burrito that was cooked was also great.. nice shredded chicken. Bar tender had no clue what he was doing. We were charged for the tacos that we waited 1.5 hours for and argued it off the check. The bar tender was fighting us to the death and charged for several more beers than were actually consumed. We both were sick later that night and all the next day? Undercooked burrito perhaps? Will probably never go back. Great potential, but terrible customer service. One waiter was great and tried so hard to help us while the place was packed. I hate leaving negative reviews, but it had to be done.

A horrible experience, we wont be going back. Where to start...service was at a snails pace, waited 15+ mins to be greated at the table and drink orders taken. Chips werent just salty but coated in salt. Dont get me wrong, I like salt, but these chips sparkled there was so much salt on them. Margaritas were way too sweet (had too much mix) and the food was mediocre at best. From walking in to getting our food took 45 mins, which wasnt good since wed brought two small, hungry kids. They mixed up one order so we had to wait an additional 20 mins, and they didnt even wave that entre on the bill for their mistake. Being from SoCA, I know my mexican food, and while east coast Mexican food is rarely good/great, this place barely compares to a Chevys, and add in the absolutely horrible service, and it was one of the very worst meals Ive had in a while.

Delicious meal, fish tacos ++++++! Went with my son for dinner this week ...... Very good experience. The free tortilla chips you get at your table are okay - not award winning, but definitely good enough - and my Dos Equis was a little warmer than I like. Beyond that, everything we had was awesome. The best was the fish tacos, with pan fried tilapia, which were absolutely great. We had a cheese quesadilla and beef empanadas as well. Service was super - friendly and fast (we ate at 5:30pm, so earlier than the normal crowds). Atmosphere was very nice (though not sure why the poster above our table was in French). Was a little more expensive than Id have liked, but will definitely be returning, perhaps for carry-out. Recommended.

We have been here in the past and enjoyed the food and service. Our most recent visit was really disappointing. The free chips were stale. I ordered the chicken chimichanga and got two, I guess chimichangas, that were smaller than a typical size egg roll and appeared to be filled with beef. Every other Mexican restaurant we go to the chimichanga is much larger, like an over-sized fried burrito. My daughter got the Burrito Supreme, which sounded huge so we said she would have to take half home. However, when it arrived, it was a normal size 7-11 burrito with hardly any filling in it. The center was literally half tortilla and half half filling. We would recommend going elsewhere.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE avoid this restaurant at all cost. I was here yesterday and the food was terrible, the glass and the silverware were dirty and the service was mediocre. Overall a terrible experience. However, this morning I woke up to over $250 of random charges to the same credit card I used in this place. When I get to work I learned that the colleague who went to this restaurant with me had the same charges in her card. We noticed that the waiter took a bit long when he went to charge our cards but we thought nothing of it. We have since filed a police report and cancelled our credit cards. So as I said at the beginning, please stay away from this place!!

I ate here on a Saturday night on a whim and regretted it. One guy was waiting all the tables and making all the drinks so he just couldnt provide good service. Took 15 min to order a beverage. Service was slow and the table next to is sent their chicken dishes back bc they tasted "old/sour" and thankfully my chicken chimichanga didnt taste sour but it wasnt good either...my Margarita was good but that was the only thing that wasnt a disappointment. My fiance ordered chicken enchiladas but was delivered beef tacos that had zero seasoning...not going back ever.
