西部自驾之旅的第七天，从洛杉矶一路开车过来，眼睛已经饱览了各式鬼斧神工的大自然美景，可是冷落了肚子，今天途经盐湖城，之前有听朋友提过这家中国人开了二十多年的老字号金凤凰粤菜餐厅，决定一定要来医饱肚子，果然名不虚传，终于一尝多日未吃饱的味道，感觉已经久违了的清菜和白米饭，还有招牌虾丸豆腐煲非常美味，微辣的美味猪手，还有老鸭粉丝汤和清椒炒鸡蛋，由于刚端上来像饿狼一样吃完才想起来未拍照，老板很热情，他乡遇老乡，很热情的介绍附近的景点给我们，知道我们下一站去黄石公园，还提醒我们一些游玩注意事项。值得推荐来这里游玩的中国人一尝家乡的味道！！！

Extraordinary Chinese food. We found out, as we were ordering, that there is a separate menu written in Chinese with more authentic traditional selections. Nobody in our party spoke Chinese, but the wait staff was extremely helpful in suggesting dishes that were authentic, but also suited to our particular likes. We had a beef and tendon stew and a garlic and onion bok choy dish off the traditional menu, both of which were worth trying. Also, the Peking Duck was superb and definitely worth the money.

I wish I could rate this place with zero stars. It was HORRIBLE. After a ridiculously long wait time, we were brought sweet and sour chicken that was.... chewy and stringy might be the way to describe it, the Mongolian beef tasted as though it had been made from a ramen noodle sauce packet, then everything was DOUSED in salt. After that, to top it all off, my whole family got awful food poisoning. Save your money, taste buds, and stomach, and DO NOT go here.

The Happy Herbivour dish, hot and sour soup and others off Golden Phoenixs Evergreen menu, are some of the most delicious food we have ever had the pleasure of eating. Unbelievably flavorful and hearty! My 6ft 4 husband was stuffed and thrilled with the taste. Taking my book club there tomorrow to order off the Evergreen menu. Exceptional eats!

Absolutely delicious. If there is anything thats going to make me feel better about my mundane office job its that its within walking distance from this place. I had roast pork, roast duck and veg over rice to go. $8.75. And for the amount of food and how incredible the food is, it is beyond worth the price.

Delivery was fast and I got soooo much food. They were also willing to customize my order per my request. (Im a vegetarian and I dont like eggplant so they let me swap it for the fried tofu in the Szechuan dish). They also dont offer veggie lo mein on the menu but made it for my order.

Im a traveler. Been all over the world, as well as to major American cities. My boyfriend is from New York City. Were always on a quest to find good Chinese food in Salt Lake. This place is on the expensive side for Salt Lake, but the menu is extensive and the food is top-notch.

They used to be top notch on everything. The Pon Pon chicken was off the charts. I cry to know its not the same now. All sauce tastes suspiciously similar, meats bleh. Possible front business now? ....check out the empty parking lot. You tell me.

This place is literally the best tasting Chinese food Ive ever had. Im a truck driver and Ive traveled around the country for seven years and Ive never found a better place then Golden Phoenix. I recommend everyone to try this place out.

This restaurant needs major rennovation. But the food is good, especially the hot pot, very authentic and the price is very reasonable. The owner Wanda always comes to say hi and make sure everybody is being taken care of.

One of my only go to Chinese restaurants. They have the best walnut shrimp I have ecer had in my life. On top of that, my 2nd favorite dish is the flat noodle! Two must have dishes!!! Going there tonight!

The food is excellent. If youre vegetarian/vegan ask for the Evergreen menu. Staff is friendly but the service could be faster (it has been painfully slow before). I will always come back for the food.

Best hot and sour soup you can find. The vegan menu is diverse and satisfying. Wanda is a wonderfully amiable manager. The atmosphere is near always quiet and peaceful. A must see in Salt Lake.

Stumbled upon this place and really enjoyed their authentic menu. They had my favorite dish, Mei Cai Ko Ro, which is not commonly found in SLC, and it was delicious.
