The atmosphere is actually wonderful if youre interested in home-cooking. This is a small, family-run restaurant, and when you sit up front at one of the small tables, youre sitting in what is essentially the kitchen. Its very cozy. In back there are two large, low tables with floor seating (great for kids) and separate karaoke rooms. The owner does the cooking and usually her mother and daughter serve the food. The food is delicious, spicy sauteed squid, grilled fish, bi bim bop (a kind of rice and vegetable salad), chop chae bop (smoky glass noodles with vegetables), soon tofu (spicy seafood stew), and more are fantastic. Mrs. Park raises many of her own vegetables in the garden in back and pickles or freezes them. And the prices are low.

It is very authentic, delicious Korean eatery. It is set up in a small house. The house has not been altered to give you a feel of restaurant, rather it is feel of home. You are sitting in the living room, while a couple of feet away your food is being prepared in the kitchen. Tip is mandatory and is included in the bill. I never felt bad about it, as my experience has always been good. If you are for ambiance, this is not the place for you. It is more like down to earth home style.

I have lived in syracuse my entire life, and I just recently found this gem. Its unequivocally my favorite restaurant in syracuse, including all high end eateries (like pastas, lemongrass, ladour, etc). It is a hole in teh wall, so dont expect frills, but to this day after having gone there once a week for the last few months, Im still discovering new delicious meals, and soups. Absolutely recommend this, a must try

the staff are all very nice. i talked about their place of origin (korea) with them. they are awesome. i was quickly introduced to the family and learned that the grandmother loves foraging the sesame plants. the food is delicious and the quality is VERY consistent. they allays fix you up with a huge serving of whatever. when and if you go, try to talk to the small staff that works there.

this place is awesome . . . koreans frequent this place for several reasons . . . home cook meal served in a real home. The back rooms are the best and remind me of home . . . you sit on the floor and can even request karaoke for a fee. Soups are great . . .lunches are a steal . . . I especially love the bonchon. The restaurant is hidden in the hood, but it is worth it. A local favorite.

I just got take out from here. I got the kimchi pancake and the bimbimbob. I was charged $11.99- kimchi pancake and $8.99 for the entree. Its a very humble restaurant. But the good is great. But its expensive for type of restaurant and the locale. Food is mostly all home made and they dont use MSG in most of their foods. Kimch is MSG free! Total a bit over $22.00.

Dont Recommend it. Last week I and my wife went there and had a dinner. We were pleased to order soon tofu jigae, shrimp fried rice and seafood soup. Flavor and taste are good but when we went back home, we felt seriously uncomfortable. We both got diarrhea and fever. We think the foods we ordered are not clean. Its a terrible experience. We wont go there anymore.

Wow, I was really blown away by how good the food was here. My wife I were in Syracuse for the day and stopped in based on the reviews on Yelp. They were absolutely right - it was a home-cooked meal in the home of an ajuma who really knows her stuff. We had the the soon dubu chigae and kalbi tang and both were best weve had. Not to be missed.

They charge you 15% gratuity for eating there. I am a college student so the walk was barable. Food was good my soup portion was rather small. The menu price was fair (12.99) for what i ordered, however, with the 15% gratuity and tax which made my order over 17 dollars!! Would not suggest unless you are loaded with cash or have a car.

I had lunch here today and the food was amazing! They were very nice and the atmosphere was very relaxed. We got our food in about 10 minutes too :) Liked: Food, Service, Atmosphere, Price, Speed Disliked: No desserts (or at least we were not offered any) and they did not tell us what the side dishes were... but they were good!

This place is incredibly tasty. If you like Korean food, you will love it, and if youve never had Korean food, try it here. The decor is very sparse, but the food is out of this world. My favorite things to get are Seafood Pancake, Beef Bulgogi, Bibimbap, and Beef Fried Rice.

lotsof yummyfood

This place is great. The food is authentic and really tasty. Its also very friendly. Not fancy, but very comfortable and incredibly good value for the quality of the food. If you like Korean food and youre in Syracuse you should go here.

Most of my college days eating out were here with my roommate. I would say this is where I officially fell in love with Korean food. Everywhere else I go, I compare dishes with this place as reference.

Family style restaurant. Authentic Korean food. Slightly pricer than other Korean restaurants in town but quality justifies the price. Nite that tips are automatically included in the bill.
