Very...very...very sadly I am writing this review. As a matter of fact...I was a previous HUGE HUGE fan of this place. I might have had one of the WORST experiences that Ive EVER HAD in a restaurant tonight. And again...Im so sad to have to report it. But, our best friends (who also have frequented) and dined with us agreed. Drinks took forever, followed by apps taking forever and then delivered wrong. Then dinner delivered wrong. (We subsequently were accused that the waiter and chef didnt communicate). We were shorted food. Chicken fried rice was rushed. No performance. Just saying...when you pay that much for dinner and go to hibachi...it should be for a reason. We brought this to the attention of the manager...and he took off the (items they didnt deliver on the bill) BUT NOTHING ELSE with little to no apology. RIDICULOUS! Ive never been so disappointed! And to a restaurant that we bring our children to and have for years for holidays, etc. Im so very sad to have to report this. But, we will be going to elsewhere now for hibachi. And taking all of our friends and family elsewhere. (FYI. YALL USED TO BE PACKED EVEN LATE ON WEEKNIGHTS. Notice now...you just turn the music off, run vacuum cleaners and close early). Think about it. Disappointed mostly in how you and your management has handled this Samurai. SAD. Yall used to be so great. BTW. I live down the street. And have EVERY intention of sharing with ALL our friends and neighbors to NOT come there anymore. Its clear: you dont care about what Im saying as we/I said IN your restaurant tonight.
I never had a problem with this place, I love the way they are specially with my kids. Been here several times and we always leave this place with a smile. Today however I left a bit confused as I was signing my receipt. I didnt leave a tip because it was already left on the table and decided to walk to the front since we were ready to go. When I signed my check I put no tip and give it back to the gentleman only to get this puzzled look.. I asked if everything was ok because he kept staring at the 0 tip and he just nodded then all of a sudden the friendly service was gone. No thank you, have a great day, no nothing. I was surprised and how something like that can change the person and how well you are treated.. I dont care for an apology, just thought this was pretty rude on his behalf. Hes not stopping my children and I from going there again though, I love this place too much to let one person stop us from going there but sometimes that all it takes.
I just moved into the area and went to Samurai twice this month (JAN-17) The experience itself, both times, was mediocre at best. However, this past Saturday I went and my debit card was charged twice, both charges posted to my account. I called 4 separate times and left polite messages for a return call (no one answers the phone). On the 5th call I finally reached a human. I was asked once again to leave a message. Obviously, I declined and asked again for a manager. Basically, after making a slew of excuses for themselves and no apology was offered, I was told to take it up with my bank. I will not be returning. Poor customer service is an understatement.
Love, love, love this local Bellaire restaurant. Easy to get to, park and enjoy a quick lunch or dinner. The service is amazing everytime I go. Very friendly, knowledgable and fast. If you are not a sushi or fish eater, there are options for you here. The hibachi menu has options like Chicken, Beef, Fried Rice, and Vegetables. Beer and wine selections are nice as well. Price is what you would expect from a sushi restaurant.
Came here for a celebratory dinner and was not disappointed. This place not only has an excellent menu and variety, the cooks are very friendly and so is the staff. The food was delicious! I ordered the steak and shrimp combination. I took my parents here, as my dad is usually one who does not like to get out of his comfort zone. To my amazement, he enjoyed it. That gives this place a plus to me.
I absolutely luvvvvvv it!! Awesome service, fresh sushi. I visited 6times in one week. I only wish there was a rewards card or something for frequently revisiting. It can get kind of costly. You do the math. Overall, i continue to return because the food us amazing and the atmosphere is the same.

I absolutely love this place and I travel from The woodlands to go rock up this spot. Wide variety. The sashimi and nigiri is so fresh. Salmon belly, king salmon belly, and Escolar are my absolute favorite. Sometimes service isnt that great, but food is always bonzer! Defo recommend this place.
I loved it. There are two sides the hibachi side I havent sat in. The other side is perfect for dates. It seems like you may also reserve rooms for gatherings. Also theres a bar you can sit it. Food is good and brought our quickly. I love the place. Will be back soon.
(From my son) It was my birthday so they brought me a samurai helmet and sword.The cook made an excellent show with the food when the lights turned off there a giant flame.my deepest thank you a to Samurai steak and sushi. And thank you for the excellent birthday.
Their sushi rolls are itty bitty teeny tiny. And the inside of the rolls are mostly fillers like cucumber. Definitely not worth the price. I ordered two rolls to go that totalled around $20, and both of them combined were about the size of one roll anywhere else.
Maybe I caught them on a bad day. I came here for lunch. Service was adequate but the sushi was not good. It had a stronger fish taste than sushi should. The bar looks cool maybe drinks someday but doubt Ill be back ever for the food.
This place has great service and great hibachi / sushi. The place is fun for groups. The hibachi tables sit between 8-10, and with a group of fewer than 8 means you will sit with others. There is also regular seating. Takeout is good too.
Great little neighborhood place with excellent sushi and a good lunch special. Service could be a bit faster, but if you dont get too uptight about that, the service is friendly. Overall a great place in my heavy rotation!
Chef was excellent. Food was good. People who prep the cart for him are horrible. Poor guy came out with all of the wrong ingredients. Also ordered sushi at the beginning and did not receive it until after the main course.
If this place is good enough for JJ Watt its good enough for me. Had the salmon nigiri and yellowtail. One of the best yellowtail sushi Ive had. Recommend stopping by if your in the area and looking for good sushi.
Great lunch specials. A lot of nigiri and sashimi options along with your normal rolls. Ive eaten here three times. I will become a usual since I love sushi so much and its the best place near my insurance office.
Just had some of the worst sushi ever....the chef looked like he just got out of high school. Know wonder they have a sushi happy hour. If you donot like quality the price is good.......first and last time for me
