Im shocked the rating isnt higher! I did hear, however, that when I went the menu had just recently been changed, so maybe before it wasnt as good. From my experience, this is one of the best restauraunts Ive ever eaten at (and Ive eaten at quite a few.) You probably already know how cute and light it is, and how amazing the view is, so I wont bother going into too much detail other than to say if you want aesthetic, go no further. I ordered the salmon with maple glaze, and subbed garlic mashed potatoes for the rice (subbing anything was very easy, and the waitress didnt make us feel like a burden at all.) The food was simply amazing. My salmon was perfect, just a slight crisp around the edges and beautiful flavor which dripped over the potatoes and made the meal exquisite. My mother got the roast chicken and garlic mashed potatoes and, afraid we would ask for a bite, waited until she had finished to proclaim that it was the best she had ever had. My father ordered the garden burger and french fries, and being of a more generous composition, made me try the fries because they were "too good to experience alone." Here are my only criticisms: - The broccoli which came with both mine and my mothers meals were, while not bad, slightly undercooked and too crunchy, despite both of us preferring our vegetables on the undercooked side. - I got a slice of chocolate cake for dessert and though it was good, it could have easily served 3 to 4 people, and thats coming from a chocolate fanatic who has quite an appetite. This isnt in itself a bad thing, but it would have been much appreciated if that was specified by wither the menu or the waitress. - My mother got the berry cobbler which again, was very good, but not quite as described. Cobbler described the large, fluffy crust which tops the fruit, but what came, while delicious and hot, had only a small bit of thin crust. - The milk which proclaimed to come in a frosted mug was not truly frosted. It was cold, but not a bit of frost in sight. These are all very minor things, however, and none of them will deter me from coming again soon. Overall I am very impressed with the quality ingredients and excellent preparation of said ingredients.

Really not thrilled with our experience here. They are WAY too expensive for what you get. I had a hard time choosing but finally settled on the Steak Panini. Literally an entire quarter of my sandwich was straight coleslaw, and there wasnt much steak on the rest of the sandwich. They should actually rename it a coleslaw sandwich and list steak as garnish. Mine had no potatoes on it, though my brother in-laws did. He ordered it without the coleslaw so they had to put something on it to stretch out the measly amount of meat. My sisters chicken sandwich had literally half a cup of shredded carrot on it (wasnt expecting that!) My dads asian shrimp salad had 4, medium-ish sized shrimp on it. Their artichoke dip was fantastic, just eat that as a meal. Also their fries were good, thankfully since that was why I ended up going with the sandwich. Their butler steak wasnt bad but the onions in their sauce hadnt actually been fully cooked. Crunchy, raw onions in a sauce are a little unpleasant. The alfredo was good but also lacked a bit because the garlic hadnt been fully cooked. To add to the fun of the food, we got to watch most of their staff hang out, eat, chat, etc. It also took over 3 hours, so that got a little frustrating to watch them just hanging. Our waiter was nice, as was another guy waiter that had been there just a couple of weeks (as of November 5 when we went.) Clearly the view is fantastic but I dont think its worth the rest. Just go take pictures in the view area between the 2 restaurants and find somewhere else to eat.

My gf and I are visiting SLC for the first time, and while in the temple district we decided to try this place out for a bite. Let me start off by saying that the rooftop view is amazing, and the weather allowed for their retractable glass ceiling to be opened to the fresh air. The staff was VERY friendly and attentive, not least of all our waiter, whos recommendations were spot on. We were torn between the fried pickles and tomatoes as apps, but wanted to still have room for dessert, and ended up going with just the pickles- yum. The entrees didnt disappoint either: I had the club sandwich, and my gf had the summer pasta dish (the name escapes me now). While the entrees and apps were all wonderful, the dessert was truly superb. The waiter suggested the chocolate cake, and warned us wed probably need a to go box. He was right. The portion was enormous! Chocolate cake layered with salted caramel crowned with REAL FUDGE in lieu of icing, a side of vanilla bean ice cream, and chocolate syrup to drizzle over the top. WOW. I recommend lunch here to anyone who wants a decent selection of delicious, fresh and reasonably priced food, a stunning view, and friendly and helpful staff. Youll leave stuffed and smiling.

HORRIBLE SERVICE and the food was not that great. Three of us went to eat here at the Garden Restaurant. We arrived at approx. 7pm on a Tuesday. The restaurant was maybe only 1/3 full with plenty of tables and enough servers for the entire restaurant. When we arrived we were the only ones in the waiting area in front of the hostess area. The hostess saw we were waiting to be seated but proceeded to stand in the middle of the restaurant doing nothing while occasionally glancing at us but not coming over. She was not doing anything else. We contemplated leaving because seeing how the hostess couldnt even do her job made us uncomfortable. After about 5 min, we were fianlly seated. The food was just average. The decor was alright but dusty fake plants. The silverware and dishes werent very clean and the wait staff service was horrible. The waiter would touch our shoulders and lean on our chairs. Not professional at all. To sum it all up, The food wasnt very good, not too expensive but the service was AWFUL!!! I would much rather spend my money elsewhere. The only thing we liked was the view of the valley and the cieling opened.

Ive eaten here several times and always had a great experience. I usually go for lunch and all the windows make for a bright and cheery atmosphere. The views are great and every time Ive been it hasnt been too busy, so there was never a wait and the place wasnt too loud. Makes for a good place for business lunch meetings. My favorite salad was the steak salad, which I think they took off the menu, but they still have it as a special once a week, I believe. If youre lucky enough to go on the day they have it, you should definitely try that one if you like meaty salads. The salmon salad is also really good. The fish and chips is also really good, but you have to catch that one on the day its the special, too. Oh, and you have to try the fried pickles, theyre delicious.
