It is a family tradition to have your 8 year old birthday party here. Always a great time but we have noticed little touches, like bonnets for girls and coonskin caps for boys (admittedly not typical 19th Century boys headwear) have disappeared, and the party room has seen better days. But we will keep going there for birthday parties. Have also been to other events there and they seem to pull them off well. The Lion House is owned by the LDS Church, so be aware that alcohol, coffee and tea are not served here.

We have been to the lion house a few times while on vacation, and we love the food. Today, we came in to get some rolls, and two of the employees were incredibly rude to us. Ive never encountered more rude employees before in any establishment. The food is good, but dont expect kind treatment.

Surprisingly quick service, home style food, and cute atmosphere. It is a buffet, so not a fine dining environment, but a fun adventure, and very family friendly.
