My girlfriend and I loved our dinner at Oteo! It was our first time there and we were blown away by the dishes that we had. We started with the queso dip, which was at first confusing, as it was essentially a large bowl of slightly melted cheese, but once we dug in with the fresh corn tortillas it was a delicious surprise! Our second course consisted of her getting two tacos, a niman ranch pork and a hanger beef. Both had fun surprises on them, like granny-smith apple matchsticks on the steak tacos and pickled beets on the pulled pork tacos. She loved them and will probably order the same next time. I got the niman ranch pork molote which was delicious. The black bean sauce was the perfect flavor and not at all overwhelming like black beans can be. The pork was so tender and melt-in-your-mouth. I will definitely consider ordering it again when we inevitably come back. We thought we were done...and then they brought us out a cronut on the house! It was extremely delicious and flakey. Personally neither of us like overly sweet desserts and this was the perfect amount of sweet and buttery. We are looking forward to going back again and maybe this time trying the plantain dish.

Too bad too because i wanted to like it; Menu was very limited and overpriced in my mind, but that would have earned them 4 stars Only 2 stars because when we were served the wrong food, we mentioned it. They offered to make it right without charge ... the right thing to do. We were served then when the bill came we were indeed charged. Perhaps an honest mistake but then the lead waitress (never learn her true position) started arguing why we should pay... Eventually she made it right but the attitude was that she was doing us an amazing favor ... their mistake and offered to make it right then they wanted us to pay.Prices paid seemed different than on the menu too. May have gone back before, but not now. We will never return and plan to tell all about this experience. Shame, Shame.

My husband and I actually stopped in after already eating at another place prior. We just saw it and thought wed grab something to share just to try it. They were nice seating us and gave us the overview of the short menu. When it came to ordering the gal was shocked we only ordered one entree to share. They seemed to be unsure about us at that point. It would have been better to get the "Great! Ill get that to the chef" Rather than "Thats all! Are you sure? Ok." When we got our $11.50 taco plate I was surprised it was really only two corn tortilla tacos. That was it! Even at a nice place they give bread or pita chips or something. We didnt need more but for the price in the area I was surprised we were paying $6 per taco. The tacos were tasty but not worth the price to go back.

Come on people, this place may seem trendy and current but the food is bland and basic. Dont let the compact hipster vibe fool you. The food is priced well above what youd find at other quality Mexican outlets. The man-bun "chef" in the kitchen has no clue how to cook flank steak, let alone use any kind of seasoning. Steer clear of this place and make your way towards an authentic Mexican place that isnt trying so hard. Im guessing this place will fizzle out as fast or faster than Masa in Lindon. I suggest El Mexiquense in American Fork 1,000 times over this joint.

Their food is amazing but their consistency in business is frustrating. Their website and everywhere says 9:00 am on saturdays. Went twice and it was not open, so I let it go. Went there for lunch again and asked them about it. They assured me they are open on Saturdays at 9:00. So went again and nobody there. In another instance I asked them to email me about catering - no email, came in again and asked, no email. Just frustrating when you want to support a yummy local restaurant and they cant seem to get things together or follow through.

Went there for dinner on "Taco Tuesday" and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although the decor is super simple, the food and presentation was first class. Not your typical tex-mex place. No chips & salsa - fine by me. Portions are reasonable. One gets the feeling that the chef is one of those people that you would find in a foodie movie like "Hundred Foot Journey" or "Babettes Feast". You want to chew slowly so that the flavors roll around in your mouth. It was a food experience that was a real surprise in spite of the ambience..

Food is good. Like Tacos 180 or Brasas. No better, though. Waited 5 minutes to be seated while there were 4 empty tables. Waited 40 minutes for food. Portion size was laughably small. Restaurant is loud like a machine shop. My throat hurts from talking loudly to my family. No ice in water, so it was close to room temperature. Hipsterism is great if its backed up by something. I feel like I paid $4 for food and $6 for overloud music and eclectic menus. This place is a fail.

Fantastic tacos. Gourmet Mexican food with European influence. Very sophisticated flavors enfused with vibrant colorful ingredients. Its like a party for your mouth. Very friendly and Knowledgeable wait staff.you can tell the chefs are passionate about what they are serving you. Not just the mundane "order up" style cook making the same dish over and over again. I recommend this place all the time to friends family and clients. Its also a Great place for a date night.

Great south-western food thats mostly healthy and light. Many ingredients are sourced locally and the freshness comes through. The chef obviously knows how to use complex flavors and ingredients to create excellent entrées. No fast-food here, each dish deserves to be savored and each bite enjoyed. Save room for the cronuts, they are incredible. Only criticism would be the dining room. Voices echo and its hard to hear because of all the hard square surfaces.

Where do I start! The setup of the restaurant is classy and tasteful. The staff was friendly, helpful and really added to the overall atmosphere. Their chef (Mosi) is truly gifted. The combinations of ingredients in all of the dishes that we had, were exquisite. The flavors of all the dishes that were had were fantastic! We are from it if town, but next time I am here, I know where I will be dining. Great job!

It is so difficult to find restaurants that locally source organic ingredients, serve healthy food, and make it taste amazing. This place has it all. Food & service were on point. Most people will complain about pricing, those that are need to keep in mind that what they are eating is of the highest quality. If you want to pay a fifth of the price and load up on GMOs go to Betos.

I absolutely love the food and Doni is such a nice guy. My biggest annoyance was with the meal plan that he provides. The meals were rarely what I ordered and the cost was always changing even though I was ordering the same thing every week. The last round was $20 a meal. The food is good but the structure and coordination of delivery and pickup lacked a bit of organization.

Im going to write an extended review soon, but Ive only been here twice and want to try more. The stars are for the food which is over the top fantastic. More later. Oh,do try the breakfast on Friday and Saturday mornings (9). You may die and go to heaven after that, your mouth finally happy at least.
