I havent shopping at Doris for 7 years now. My mother took me there one day. Before I moved to Florida I lived in San Diego. There are not enough adjectives to tell you how much I love shopping there. The stores immaculate. When you walk in the front door right into the fresh produce it just smells so good period after 7 years of shopping there I know a lot of the people. Everybody is extremely helpful. When you go to a grocery store like Publix or Walmart the meat departments in those two stores are completely different. Besides the selection of every possible thing you want from tuna fish to Brishole (sp) to the freshest ground meat in town, stuffed pork chops that I dare anybody to compare to anything else. Seafood departments extraordinary. Im not really going to write any much more because itll be 5 pages. I LOVE DORIS ITALIAN MARKET!! Cannot wait till Tuesday night for their add to drop into my email box. One last thing each and every person in the store is unbelievably courteous and polite to every single person. I listen and all the employees are outstanding. Especially behind the counters. The butchers are friendly and other stuff. Okay I was going to do the bakery but Im not.

Ducked in (again) to grab my beloved mother some Italian Sausage, both spicy and sweet. Love this place. Their sausage is a hit with the olive-oil breath crowd, and I get it. It is the BOMB with or without fennel. And if you get 5lbs. or more the price drops. SCORE! This was the first time I got a delish deli sammy (tuna with "da works") to go for the drive to the Port Charlotte Amplification, Inc. Headquarters, and boy was that a good idea. I ate the delicious sammy for 3 days. All for $7 bucks. SCORE! Pass on the "healthy" broccoli chips. They were not a hit. This place is fantastic. The decor, the service, the cleanliness, the fact that is it well-staffed, efficiently and professionally run, all keep me coming back. Delish, culturally appropriate offerings. Good stuff. This is the best Italian Market I have ever been too. I wish they were in North Carolina. This is one of the things I miss about living in Florida. They have a great selection of deli meats, Italian items already cooked and the bakery is the best that I have ever bought bakery items from ever. I would recommend this place to everyone. I have even had friends living in Orlando that asked for me to bring me things from Doriss when I went that is how good they their items are in the store. The service is also great, they treat you like family when you are in the store.

great market. I have too two issues: 1) closes too early. thats a problem because locations are not near freeways and you cant get there in time during evening rush hour. 2) I know its an Italian market, but frankly, most of their customers are Jewish and they have a poor selection of smoked salmon products and no whitefish salad, etc. Definitely not a Jewish deli. I like one-stop shopping, and thats a big problem. Ive suggested this a number of times at both sunset and university, but they dont seem to get this. So I have to schedule trips to Penn Dutch.

I love Doriss. I buy my meat from the butcher section and Im telling you there is a difference. You cannot beat the quality. Its also the only other place I can still get red pack tomatoes and Progresso red kidney beans. Why do these super markets shove down your throat, their products and a million other brands you dont want. Some things we just dont want to change. Shopping is not a pleasure anymore but a chore. Im exhausted when I get home. Doriss is a family store, I recommend them highly. Nothing but quality dealing here. Amen.

Another favorite of mine, best place to get good quality meats and a nice selection of Italian cheeses and fresh breads. The produce is usually nice, better than at a regular grocery store and a large selection of wine. I do all my meat shopping here, except for chicken breast. A couple of the times I purchased it here, it had a strange texture and was very tough, but everything else is top notch. And when they hsvebit, their New England clamp chowder is just delicious.

South Florida seems to be dominated by chain grocery stores, so I was so happy when I discovered this great little neighborhood grocery store and bakery. They have a lot of great food here, but Im particularly a fan of their bakery. They probably have the best assortment cookies and cakes in the area. I really like the chocolate chip cookies dipped in chocolate with chocolate cream in the middle (theyre not as chocolatey as you think) and they make a fantastic tiramisu.

I ordered chicken piccata through catering for Christmas dinner. It was not hooked it all is not see youre nothing it was almost like it was boiled in the sauce. Just saw it had no flavor whatsoever even the papers didnt come out period went back to talk to them and they all just denied denied denied if it had zero Stars I would give it to them . Dont recommend catering, deli food is better but its too expensive to order for catering.

This place is MARVELOUS. The bakery and the gorgeous crusty bread win all on their own. There are products here you cant get anywhere else in Fort Lauderdale, the produce section is fantastic, the decor is wonderful and the people are great too. Please ignore the silly person complaining that they moved, since the move was a matter of 4 or 5 miles. = ) Go check it out youll love it too!

Talking about passing the sniff test.... I walked in and was immediately blown away by the delicious smells in the air. Amazing produce, meats and of course specialty items. Dont tell, but Doriss is one of the reasons Im a 5 star reviewed celebrity catering chef. The secret to great food is great ingredients! Thank you Doriss for being here!

Great little market with fresh items, including an amazing bakery. Best cannoli Ive ever had. The prices arent always going to be the lowest in town, but youll find some very unique products that you wont find in larger stores like Publix. If youre looking for unique Italian pastas and sauces, theyve got them.

Very helpful staff and great prices. Their butchery in particular is really nice. The staff is well trained and can not only help you pick a type of meat, depending on what you want to do with it, but can also cut it however you want. Unlike places like Publix, which, for the most part, you get what you see.

I have been shopping here for more than 5 years. Bakery is amazing, and if you are looking for sweets or a cake, they have great ones. Wine selection is good too. The deli is fantastic. They have a very good variety of European products. I love this place.
