We had BBQ, Sausage, Beef tong and Tilapia tacos. None of these impressed us at all. Except of the heat of their sauces we couldnt taste anything. Without the sauces its just a mediocre, blend and tasteless food which is quite expensive if you consider size of the portion to the price ratio. The chips BTW were worst we ever ate and tortillas couldnt hold the food without being torn. We spent $22, left hungry, spent another $9 on Mexican Festival food (going on that Sunday) (which was not less awful then TS) and headed home totally disappointed. WHAT IS WRONG WITH BALTIMORE MEXICAN FOOD?!!!! If THIS IS THEIR AUTHENTIC FOOD then Id rather make my own tacos, which are much more flavorful then what we ate from these Mexican cooks.

Food is on-par with its price in terms of size, but above the level of quality expected. You can look forward to delicious food, but may need to order 2-3 items if you have a serious appetite. One star deducted though because their tamales and tortillas are all corn-based, and they fall into the trap of advertising the "gluten free" nature of their food that Im sure the local yupps are demanding. Wheat-based tortillas have a much better consistency with this type of food, and you avoid the dry chalkiness of corn-based tortillas. Id also encourage them to look at plantain-based tamales. Aside from that, decent food for the price, but get take out, you wont impress a date by going here.

From Baltimore Magazine, June 2009: "Tiny storefront in the heart of Baltimores Latino land delivers quality, authentic Mexican food for just a few pesos. The tamales are among the best in town, but our favorite indulgence is the fish taco ($4.75), a moist, seared talapia on soft tortillas (made fresh daily). Condiments, like red- and green-chile sauces, add a pleasent kick, while fresh guacamole and slasa soothe the zing. This pleasant space has a counter if you want to stay and soak up the culture. Frida Kahlo-like art, El Tiempo Latino newspapers and colorful pottery add to the charm."

The most authentic taco experience in Baltimore City. Even though this place keeps early hours (closed by 6PM most days), its because they are so good that they run out of everything very quickly. Even though I wasnt fortunate enough to grab a tamale or a chicken taco by 4PM on a Sunday, the fish taco was incredible, as was the chorizo and barbacoa. If they hadnt been out of guacamole, I would have loved to get the steal of a bag of chips (very large for the price). No real seating unless you want to eat at the counter, so best take it to go.

Very good authentic street tacos at a good price with a variety of meat options. We had them deliver a business lunch for 7 of us and the logistics were a little difficult to set up and they charged a pretty significant premium for delivery (I think it was twenty bucks or something on top of the food) to a hotel about 7 minutes from their restaurant, though it was still cheaper than having the hotel do lunch for us.

My husband and I were so excited when we discovered this place. We are from Texas so we are so used to enjoying real authentic Mexican tacos and this place will definitely give you that satisfaction. The food is rich in flavor and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We make a 30 min drive every two weeks just for the tacos. The barbacoa tacos are definitely a must try!

This is the real deal when it comes to tacos. No Taco Bell fakes. Everything is cooked right when you order. I have to tell them to lay off the onions a bit but everything is very tasty. The tacos are very hot so give it a few minutes to cool down before eating. I stick with the chicken and steak. Tongue just does not appeal to me.

Amazing tacos, real and delicious food Mexican food. They have a real tortilla machine, so they are always fresh. Some tacos are even better than the ones Ive had in Mexico. Its a tiny place and it may be hard to park and to eat in, so its better to come early, or pick up and eat at home.

I tried the Torta de Carne asada. It had nice ripe avocado and the bread was toasted just right. Really good. Then I tried the Veggie quesadilla, and Omg, I loved it!!! Its got broccoli, zucchini, carrots, and CHEEEEESE!! So good!! It surprised me, pleasantly!!! :)

Put this place anywhere in North Baltimore and the score doubles. As it stands, this place is overpriced and underwhelming when compared to other places on Eastern Avenue. The actual tortillas they make and sell are admittedly top-notch.

Pretty tasty tacos. I had the lengua (beef tongue) and the al pastor, both were good. My girlfriend asked for a fish taco, which they didnt have on the menu, and they made one for her. The fish taco is GREAT.

Makes me feel back at home in AZ. Without a doubt they are the best tacos in Baltimore. Also, they are great for catering!!! They catered my engagement party. Was perfect and all the guests loved it!!!!

Spectacular tacos! You can order individually, so feel free to get variety. Bulk chips and guacamole are great too, well worth the seemingly steep price (until you see the portion sizes).

Amazing taqueria with homemade tortillas, chips, and salsa. Prices are reasonable as well. If it were closer to JHH I would go for lunch every week.

Fresh, authentic food - the tamales and quesadilla were delicious. Torillas made in house were the best Ive had outside of Mexico.

Wonderful tacos, tamales and chips made fresh. Spicy green salsa is citrusy and bold. Be prepared to eat your food standing up.

Helpful staff, amazing, authentic food. Only complaint is that they run out of horchata due to the demand so get there early.

Such a shame their larger location shut down to become a...burger joint? Woof. The tacos and tamales are grade A though!
