Had eaten at this place for years. Used to love it. Good, fast, and cheap. My husband and I were regulars weekly. Not anymore. The last few times we have had the food, the quality has significantly decreased, rice is terrible in all forms, soups are flavored water, sauces are tasteless and oily, and the service from owner and staff has become horrific. Ordered the sweet and sour chicken for dinner on a slow night. Took 45 minutes. They delivered just the chicken, no sweet and sour sauce. The rice was thick and stuck together in a soggy lump. Ok, no big deal, everyone has an off day. Ill just call and ask for them to bring the sauce to me. Instead I get hounded and accused of not having ordered there in the first place and trying to get them to give me free sauce? WTF? when i finally got them to acknowledge my order(since i paid with a CC, and that cant really be disputed once you run the card), the person on the phone rudely told me Id get my sauce whenever they got to me, it would be treated as a new togo order, and I would have to wait AT LEAST 30 more minutes. My husband decided to go in and pick up the sauce for me so the food wouldnt get cold, asked for refund of the delivery fee, for obvious reasons, and they rudely told him NO, it wasnt their fault he had to come in, they had partially delivered. SRSLY?! This place lost our business that night, and we will not return. I now make it a point to tell everyone and anyone in SM. If you treat your regulars like this, cant imagine how everyone else gets treated. Save yourself the money and aggravation and just eat somewhere else, plenty of places these days. Some ppl may call it picky but I say I actually care about quality. try Thai Thai. its consistently amazing.

First off they claim to serve Thai food, but when I asked for their Thai menu, I was told they do asian foods. I found the place by doing a search for thai restaurants. This dive came up. As for being respectful, I dont think they know what that is. Now for the owners. They dont care where they park or their delivery drivers. They block the entrances/exit to the parking lot by parking on both sides of the entrance/exit. The owner today parked behind a customers car while they unloaded Styrofoam plates and other such things. Quite heavy items(not!). There were empty spaces a few cars to the left of their door. The customer had to wait for them to finish and move before they could get out of the parking space, since the owner wasnt even in a proper space, just double parked behind in the parking lot blocking them in as well as blocking Entrance /exit from lot. Today was not the first time. This has been going on for months with no regard for other businesss customers in the same parking lot. If you ask them to move their cars they get all bent out of shape. They even lied and said the city was okay with them parking in the entrance/exit. The city cops have let them know this is not true.

Second time I ordered take out and show up and they said its out for delivery. Their excuse was because the address still prints out even if its pick up so they get confused (They should thoroughly read the order to assure its pick up; not a good excuse at all). They didnt offer anything for apology such as a drink or even store credit and I asked for my food to be remade when the delivery man showed up they handed me the bag and said it was freshly made. I was informed they had no management on sight.. very disappointed Ive spent a lot of money at Asian garden ...I been a loyal customer for awhile and eat here several times a month as well recommended it to several people.. even though I left my information to be contacted by management I doubt they will call or even give credit. Very unprofessional how this matter was handled. I will no longer recommended or take my business there. You would think for their mistake as well as the wait I had to do for food that wasnt even fresh I would have been refunded or have store credit.

BEWARE LADIES!!!! My daughter who attends TXST ordered take out this past Sunday evening. The delivery guy complimented her nails and nail color, as she signed the receipt he bent over touched her feet, toes and legs inappropriately. She was caught off guard and was not sure what to do except run back into her dorm building and call home. Her boyfriend called and complained to the manager, John and he did nothing about it. A few hours later when her father found out, he called to speak with the Manager as well. 1st Megan came to the phone then she passed the call to John. John said "I know her boyfriend already called". When my husband asked what was going to be done about this and he wants to speak with the driver, John said the delivery guy was out delivering. So Management knew about this complaint and still did nothing and sent the driver out to deliver. Be careful with the wierdo freaks this establishment hires.

BEWARE! Placed an online Delivery order on their provided website, ending with a grand total of what was supposed to be $18.29, which included delivery fee and tax. I soon afterwards get a notification from my bank telling me that my card was authorized for a charge of $24.95 from this restaurant! Called to inquire why, and got a confused "order girl" who couldnt explain why I was overcharged, who then handed the phone to her manager who TRIED to explain in broken english that "Your bank puts a gratuity hold on your card for restaurants" which makes absolutely NO sense. I know it is only about $7, but the principle it that NO business should STEAL peoples money, and this is exactly what Asian Garden in San Marcos Texas did to me today. I have lived in San Marcos for 3 years, and eaten here frequently, but I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN, NOR WILL I EVER RECOMMEND IT. BUYER BEWARE!!

When first ordered our meals I ordered for take out and they asked for my name and what I wanted, but when I go there it took 3 college students to put their lightbulbs together and figure out my order because noone wrote my name down. Iordered a plate with cashew chicken and white rice on it and my boyfriend ordered the lemon chicken with fried rice and egg rolls. The white rice was very soggy and my chicken did not taste like chicken. My boyfriends lemon sauce was tasteless and oily. And the only taste the sauce had was from 2 slices of green lemon they put in it. Our egg rolls werehorrible and I suggest that no one should ever go to this restaurant again. My two horrible meals were worth 20 bucks. We would rather go eat at Torchys across the street for 20 bucks. We will NEVER eat at this place AGAIN!

I am a fan indeed. My girlfriend and I have been looking for good (and cheap) Chinese take-out for a while. we kept wanting a more standard Chinese. After the first bite we turned to each other and exclaimed that "we found it." The portions are large (Mongolian beef will last at least two meals) and the sauces seem to vary, unlike other places where they seem to use the same sauce and use a different name. Also, their lunch/dinner specials were a great price and included everything you usually want from quick take-out. If you looking for delicious and cheap Chinese then youll want to start here. They got Reward for " Best Asian Food In Hays County For 2009"
