I have been coming here for four years and tont was bad. My food had a bitter taste and not cooked all the way through. I bought it to the managers attention and he sat there trying to argue with me and tell me there was nothing wrong with it. I then let the waiter know when paying that my food was not good. A another gentleman came out, and said is something wrong. I proceed to tell him and he said if u dont like it next time tell us and we will redo it, I told him I did and I was basically brushed off. He asked if I Ate the the food I said no its right here. He then hands me my receipt to sign and walks off. Didnt even try to make things right. The service was horrible had to pour my own drinks get my own to go stuff and they forgot my soup, gave me the wrong rice and never could find our waiter. I can get over the food and hope it will be better next time but with the way it was handled , no thank u. I did. I did restaurant mngt for 10 yrs, this situation was handled poorly.

Ok, how this place stays in business is beyond me. I have lived here 10 years and this is my 3rd and last time to ever order from this place and every time I keep saying I will never eat here again. We order from Thai Spice on a weekly basis. We love their food. Today in particular, they were SO busy that it would be an hour to get my food so I ordered from this place instead. $60.00 later, we ended up throwing all the food in the trash and we are now back at Thai Spice spending another $60.00 for food we can enjoy. It should of been a red flag when I picked up my order at 7:30 and I was the only one in the whole restaurant. My order at China Pacific consisted of orange chicken and curry. Please see pics above. The curry tasted like water and flour and the orange chicken tasted like fried chicken with molasses purred on it. Seriously. .. disgusting!

I have been coming here for 10yrs, however the last 5 times I have been I have left highly disappointed. I kept trying again and again after the first couple bad experiences thinking I had just caught them on a bad day (I wish it so because this used to be one of my favorite restaurants). Sadly after today I have given up and dont think Ill ever return... My hot/sour soup was thicker than J-Lo and with none of the flavor or pop. My rice was soggy, the chicken was bland, and Ive had better eggrolls from the microwave. I will not recommended this place any further. Disappointed Chi-Pa

Good Chinese food for a quick fix at a decent price and centrally located in Lakeway. China Pacific has always been a favorite in our family and pretty consistent over the years in food, service, value, and an easygoing atmosphere. Like any restaurant they have had their ups and downs. We rarely order delivery anymore we just think it is easier to pick-up. Deliveries have ranged from 30 minutes(normally) up to 50 minutes(rarely). CALL-IN. Their location for most people in Lakeway will not have more than a 5-8 minute drive. They usually have call-ins ready in 15 minutes or less.

I dont understand all the terrible reviews? My review is for the location in Lakeway. Normally I just call ahead and pick it up. 9 times out of 10 it has been great. The egg drop soup and the egg rolls are really good. Favorite dish is the Happy Family but Ive had most of what is on the menu. Obviously a number of people feel the way I do because every time I go in there they are busy with call-in orders. I will admit though, the dining room is less than impressive. :)

Ordered 2 sunset specials, 1 family dinner, fried rice and an appetizer for take out on Mothers Day and it was awful! The crab rangoons and egg rolls seemed like they were left overs from the previous day. Not fresh at all. The quality of meat used in all the meals was pathetic- beef, chicken and shrimp. Overall taste in soups and meals was bland. Our first clue shouldve been that no one was eating there when we picked it up. Dont waste your time or money.

I dont normally write reviews, but this restaurant... this deserves it. The egg drop soup was literal corn syrup; in addition, the main entree was complete garbage, with the corn syrup accompanying it and the smallest portions Ive ever seen. The only thing that justifies another star is the egg roll, but even that was burnt. Personally, if youre craving Chinese cuisine, wait until paos mandarin house is back on its feet.

My husband and I love Chinese food. After we moved to Austin last fall, we had been searching for a decent good Chinese restaurant until we found Chinse pacific!!! We fell in love with their dishes instantly. It is great food with good quality ingredients and their service makes us smile every time we dine in. Nothing to complain, but to praise their dishes and services. We are just happy that we found this one.

Ive been here 3 times. I like to give places second chances because I understand that sometimes others are having a bad, which goes for people in retail as well, I should know. 2 out of 3 times, food was undercooked and meat was too fatty for my taste but eh. But other than that, theyre ok if you dont feel like driving to Bee Cave. Im sorry, I wish I could give a better rating.

High fructose corn syrup in everything even in the egg drop soup was sweet :(. Service was ok, location is good between Steiner and Lakeway but omg the food was soo not good. Would have loved to rate it higher but I cant . Too expensive for what is served. They had sauce just sitting on the table. I asked was it fresh and he said yes, its made daily,

The prices are pretty high here, and we ordered one of their specialty dishes “chicken majestic” for take-out. It was over-cooked and dry. When my husband called to tell them about it, the manager just argued with him. We had been ordering from this restaurant for the past couple of years, and the quality has just gone down-hill.

Tried this gem based on good google reviews & happily concur!Went in with my 2 kids & we were all treated with such care- like we were eating in their home! Once I found out theyd deliver to my house, I couldnt resist. Their fast & tasty, food isnt heavily breaded, & theyre flexible on substitutions for Sunset Specials. Enjoy!

Used to a great place. Food is still decent but their delivery is a ripoff. As a former delivery driver myself, $4 is a ridiculous amount to charge for a delivery fee. I do not think I will order from this place again.
